"What am I doing?"
"Yeah, what are you doing?"
"Just shut up and help me get to sleep."
"Whatever."
The male mumbled a weak insult, following behind her as she retreated into her room once more. His sleepy expression morphed into a concerned one once she sat down on the bed. The dark purple colouring of the bags under her eyes had turned into something resembling a deep blue that had been mixed in with the recent colour, adding to his slight concern.
"Hey," He called, catching her attention. "Have you been sleeping properly?"
"Yeah, why do you ask?"
"You don't look to lively today," he mumbled, kneeling in front of her as his exhaustion was momentarily forgotten.
"Aww, is tired Katsuki worried for my well-being?" She smirked, tilting her head to the side to get a better look at his face.
"No, I am not!" He exclaimed, his angry expression returning before he caught sight of the bags under her eyes again. "But, you haven't been sleeping, have you?"
"No, I haven't. But, I'm okay. It hasn't aff- Hey! What are you doing?" She questioned as he pushed her down, so she was laying in her bed.
"Shut up!" He hissed. "I hear someone coming!"
Moments of silence passed before footsteps stopped outside of her door, a soft knocking following.
"Is everything okay, Y/n?"
"Ahh, shit," she cursed, quickly pulling Bakugou under the covers to hide him.
As for him, his stayed still and quiet, his arms curled in front of his chest as he heard the door open. He felt her shift ever so slightly so she was hiding him better before a voice echoed through the room, shocking him at who it had been.
"Hey, why aren't you asleep yet?" Jiro questioned, worry lacing her soft tone. "You can't sleep, can you?"
"No, I couldn't. But, I did had a cup of that sleeping tea that Yao-Momo suggested. I should be able to sleep now," she explained, earning a small nod from her best friend. "I'm sorry for waking you."
"No, don't worry about it. I was working on a new peice anyway. I just heard some voices and came to check on you," Jiro replied, smiling at Y/n as her worry eased. "You were watching TV again to try and fall asleep, weren't you?"
"Yeah, sorry. I am going to sleep now though. Goodnight, Kyoka. See you in the morning."
"Night, Y/n. We're still going to that music cafe tomorrow, right?" She questioned, an audible smile shining through her tone.
Recieving an excited nod, she left after they bid each other Goodnight once more, sharing quick laughs before she disappeared behind a closed door. Y/n let out a sigh of relief before she laid down next to Bakugou, who had been unconciously holding onto the end of her shirt.
"I didn't peg you to be the type of person to be friends with her," He mumbled quietly, shifting away from her.
"Kyoka's my best friend. I've known her for years," She replied, shocking the boy to some extent.
"You never hang out a school."
"We do. You never see because we always go to the music room to jam out together. I'm pretty good with a guitar - Electric or not." Bakugou noticed the faint smile that formed on her lips and supressed his own.
A silence sliced through the atmosphere and the thought that he had fallen asleep crossed Y/n's mind before he spoke up, his voice quiet and devoid of the usual angry tone it would have.
"Why haven't you been sleeping?"
She hesitated, but once she turned on her side and met his softened gaze, she caved. "I've been thinking about my sister. You know, the one with the dream quirk."
"Oh, yeah. You mentioned her a few nights ago," he muttered, taking a moment to yawn. "You said she wasn't available to help me sleep or whatever."
"Yeah," she mumbled, her smile falling at the memory currently replaying in her mind. Her eyes began to glisten with tears, her wiping them away before they could fall. "Lets just say she's no longer a Pro Hero."
The room was once again enveloped in silence and Y/n sighed quietly, closing her eyes. A weight was dropped onto her shoulder and a ghost of a smile appeared on her features before she too slipped off to a place in her mind that had been haunting her for years.
