After finishing the sandwich, I took a moment to savor the aftertaste.
Kara was kind enough to make it for me and gracious enough to let me help her clean everything up despite my height and that everything, including her, was slightly bigger than me.
Once everything was cleaned and washed, she could put the dishes she used for making the grilled cheese on a drying rack on the left side of the sink.
Everything was cleaned up, and we could work together. Kara then walked over to the upstairs parts of the Beach house.
Still, after she took three steps up the stairs way up to the second story of the house, she turned her head to look down at me as I just stood there noticing the curious look on her face and to see she pressed the bridge of her glasses back to her snout, assuming from the position she was in using them to slightly slipped off from her snout, having her to return them in place between her eyes.
"Are you coming?"
Not having to be asked twice. I took a moment to start to jog up the stairs and didn't seem to notice the smile on her face rise on her lips.
I followed her up the stairs, cautious of her tail.
Once we were both on the house's second floor, she walked down a long hallway and was greeted by the room. I noticed that we were heading to her bedroom.
I assumed we were planning on finding me some clothes because I was starting to feel exhausted from the weight of my suit and the increased need to itch, which caused a slightly uncomfortable tension.
Returning from my thoughts, I noticed that Kara was near a closet, sliding the door open and pulling out some possible clothes that would help me figure out what to wear.
She had a small stack of clothes to my choosing and handed them to me with that same genuine smile.
"Hopefully, these will fit you. Also, you can use my bathroom to change if you would like." Kara said, gesturing her free left hand to a door she assumed was where the bathroom was.
I walked over to the bathroom. Opening the door, the bathroom was huge and modern, setting the clothes on the top of the side of the counter to where the sink was.
I could take a moment to undo my suit after unzipping and unbuckling the straps and detaching them, which kept everything connected to what he was wearing.
Before I could go any further in taking the suit off, he pulled out the compass and the Mp3 player that I had in my suit's outside pocket and set it on the right side of the counter, to which the left side of the bathroom counter was the set of clothes.
"This is going to work," I thought confidently, yet I wasn't sure if wearing oversized clothes would fit me. After a few minutes of putting them on, I looked at myself in the bathroom sink mirror, but I couldn't see a better scale, so I came out.
When I did, I was about to reach the door handle to open it, and at that moment, I heard frantic footsteps from the opposite side of the bathroom.
Confused, I opened the door and saw Kara sitting on her head, reading a beauty magazine.
That distracted me, but then she looked at me and asked, "Oh! Michael, your ba—" But before she could finish, she stopped dead in her tracks, wide-eyed.
At that moment, she started to hold her laughter, leaving me confused.
I didn't want to ask her why she was trying to contain her laughter, so I asked her a different question.
That was the one thing that I wanted to know.
"Do you have a bigger mirror I can use to see a better perspective of myself?"
Kara held her laugh with her left free hand and pointed to the bedroom door. I looked to see a mirror on the back of it.
Walking over to it. Looking at myself in the mirror, Kara had one on the back of her bedroom door, and an instant frown formed on my face.
"This is not going to work." I thought, in an irritated and disappointed thought. But with that, I heard Kara snort in laughter, who so happened to see what I was wearing.
Looking in her direction, I noticed she was still trying to hold in her laughter.
But she let it out no matter how much she could hold it.
"Haha, very funny. Go on, laugh it out." I said, waving the over-shirt-sleeved hand at her.
"Haha! I'm sorry. It's just... that you look like a newborn, wearing Adult clothes," she said, finally laughing. Her mouth exposed her teeth, hollowing with laughter. I furrowed my brows, unable to see the sense of humor because I was very literal and very, yet sometimes serious.
Looking back at me, she noticed my expression, stopped instantly, and muttered, her tone slightly embarrassed.
"Sorry."
Taken back by her, I quickly spoke up.
"No... no, it's okay. I'm just not very good at the whole sense of humor."
Kara nodded knowingly, understanding what I said.
We both stood there momentarily in silence, unsure what to say next.
So, I broke the silence.
"So... clothes."
"Right! Yeah, um... we might have to go to the nearest local market and find some clothes that might fit you."
"Hang on, should you go alone? It would be wise for me to sit here and not be out there with other eyes that could refer me to any social network and alert the government to where I am."
Kara looked at me and took a moment to process what I had told her.
"Are you sure?"
I nodded.
"I will be fine."
"Well, okay. For the time being, you can shower if you like," she said, gesturing back to the bathroom to let me know I had permission to use her shower.
