After looking in the direction of where the shower was, Kara grabbed what looked to be a purse; it had a caramel-colored leather or some fabric that was made into what looked like a bag with a shoulder strap clipped to it.
She swung the purse around her shoulder, where the straps could wrap around it.
Before she was about to leave, about to reach the door handle, she slightly turned back to me. When she turned to face me, she gave me a worried look, which was confusing, but I ignored it. I could appreciate her concern, but I needed to reassure her that I would be okay alone.
"Are you sure you're going to be okay over here?"
I nodded, giving her a thumbs up, and she understood the gesture.
With that, she grabbed the front door handle and opened it.
"See you in a bit," she said before leaving. Hearing her walk down the wooden porch steps, she closed the door, and her footsteps faded, leaving him alone in the house.
In complete silence, he wasn't sure what he was planning to do after he took a shower.
So with that he walked back up the steps and retunred into the bedroom to where the shower was, with that he started to take off the the oversized closthes that were on ehim and with that, he walked over to the shower opeing the glass door, walking inside of it, and to see that there wasnt a knob for the overhead faucet of the shower.
After a minute of looking at the walls, he found a push-button console that looked to be where the controls to turn the shower on and off were. Looking more closely at the button, I could press a small white icon that showed a shower head with water droplets.
Pushing that, the shower head turned on, and with the water touching my bare skin, I jumped and yelped in surprise.
It was cold.
But before I could return to working on the buttons, the temperature of the water changed automatically to a slight hint of warmth,
"Ah, that's better," I muttered.
I walked up to the shower head and rinsed myself off. I looked around to see that there were no bottles of shampoo or conditioner that Kara might have used on her body.
"I hope she doesn't mind me using her body wash, shampoo, and conditioner bottles." I thought.
However, after looking around the inside corners of the shower's significant side parts, I could not find any bottles.
Assuming they were outside from the transparent, three clean glass walls of the windows looking outside from where I was, in the bathroom.
Before I could look outside from the shower, I noticed another set of buttons on the control console. To my surprise, I leaned over to see what they were; a set showed the labels for soap, shampoo, and conditioner.
"That's cool. It already has a soap dispenser that releases from the shower head. Fancy." I remembered that, back in my world, there was a container that was on a wall that was connected to the shower, but this one didn't have one, and I assumed that it was built within the walls and had a container to where the soap cartridge was for refilling and taking out to clean as well.
"Their technology is slightly different from my world."
After a minute of looking at the label markings on the buttons, I pressed for body wash, and at that moment, i flet a sudden for of gel stated to to come down and so wit that knew ir was the body was and so with that i ststetd to use it to clean myself up.
With hot water and soap.
But I could smell a slight hint of a familiar smell that I could identify: lavender. "Huh, I guess there are similar plants and smells here and in my world," I thought.
After a moment of cleaning and rinsing, I finished cleaning myself off. But I realized I had forgotten to grab a fresh towel before I got out of the shower.
"...ah, shit." I thought.
Looking from where I was and searching to where the posible source to where the clean towles were, so I wouldn't be wandering around with wet feet and ruin the bathroom floors with my damp feet, after a moment of looking I noticed a cupboard that was under the sink and assumed to hwere the possible clean towls were.
Opening the door from the shower, I came out and quickly walked over to the cupboard, with my fingers crossed. I opened it and saw a neat set of folded towels inside it.
I quickly grabbed a towel, returned to the shower, and dried myself with it. Once thoroughly dried, I set the damp towel on the floor and used my feet to dry off the wet prints.
Once it was all cleaned up, I was unable to find anything to help cover my bare body, except for my set of underpants, but I like to call them my unmentionables. I don't know why I called them that; I find it hysterical.
That's just me and my weird sense of humor. But after looking back to the suit i wore but to see the under suit that i waore unsuer my suit nad that when something pooped in my head.
Grabbing the dark ocean blue undersuit and looking for scissors, I found a set in a drawer near the bathroom sink. Sitting on the toilet seat, I got to work with my undersuit and the cutting tool in my other hand.
After what felt like an hour or so, I cut the sleeves off and the legs of the undersuit to make it look like a short surfing suit with short arm and leg short covers—taking a look at it by setting the scissors aside on the floor.
With them closed and looking at the undersuit before me, it did not look that good, but it was a temporary purpose.
I just needed to wear it so Kara could come back with sizable clothes that I could wear.
"Shit."
"I forgot to tell her what size I was, gosh darn it!" I exclaimed, dropping the undersuit and placing my hands on my bare face.
"Well, I can contact her. might as well just wait ujtil she gets back."
I sighed and started to get the undersuit on.
Walking back down, after making sure to clean the bathroom and clean after myself, I could walk around in the beach house with the undersuit I was wearing.
Looking back, she saw the fuel source still against the wall. The front door was open, and I lay there without any reaction, which was good. I was worried that the humid, increasing heat would cause it to explode, but thankfully, it didn't do anything harmful.
"It looks okay," I muttered.
Walking around the house, unsure where else I hadn't seen yet, I walked over to see a small yet sizable pool in the backyard. The open of the dining room showed, and I noticed there was a back door to where it led to the pool.
Wanting to check it out, I could open the door, walk outside, immerse myself in the heat and the sound of the wind and the waves of the beach that originated a few feet on the left, and see a transparent glass fence guarded the whole pool.
"This is nice."
Walking around the pool, I saw a triangular device about the size of a vacuum bot. It was in the water cleaning the underside of the pool.
"That's pretty cool."
Walking over to see a chair used for sunbathing and a fancy sun umbrella, all was well that wasn't deployed or open but covered, and it was assumed that because of the strong winds Kara didn't want it damaged in any way.
Observing everything, I noticed that the floors were white, smooth, and clean. It was as if nothing had been set on them for a while. They were spotless, and that was nice.
But before I could continue looking outside, it was already getting dark, and I saw a herd of stars illuminating pure white from the revealing night sky.
"Wow," I muttered in astonishment.
"I wonder if one of those stars is my solar system," I thought.
Before I could ponder the question, it was getting dark out, so I returned to the inside of the house and realized that when I returned inside, it was already dark inside, but somehow the lights automatically turned on.
"That's cool," I said.
After closing the door behind me, I walked out from the dining room and returned to where the kitchen and living room were.
And to my surprise, someone opened the front door and saw an anthro female, entered the house, and looked around.
This is a drawing I did of Cillia
She wore beach-like clothing, but a bright, clean, green clothing-based outfit, and the clothing wrapped around her waist. She even wore an earring hooked to the back of her find, similar to Kara's.
She looked around, totally unaware of my presence at that moment. I saw that she had a plastic bag containing what I assumed was take-out food.
She looked a little shorter than Kara, about a foot shorter, and slightly muscular as Kara was. Turning away from observing her, she still seemed to notice me.
"Kara, are you home? I brought some fo—"The orca turned in my direction. Her eyes widened as she stared at me, standing between the kitchen and living room. She looked at me briefly before I spoke slightly and awkwardly, waving at her.
"Uh, hi?"
She didn't say or do anything, only what looked confused and afraid, staring at me.
Before we could speak or do anything, I heard heavy footsteps originating behind the Orca. She turned to see Kara approaching the door, noticing that the front door also had lights dangling from the front porch roof like white Christmas lights. As Kara entered, she froze and looked at the Orca and me.
I noticed that Kara came in this bag, which I believed was a pair of clothes. I hoped she didn't have to go back because I had not told her which size of clothing I wore.
"Cillia..." Kara trialed off, unsure how this would play out and how she could explain this to Cillia.
"Kara, what is going on?" The Orca asked.
The presumed Orca named Cilia looked from me to Kara. Confused and slightly afraid because of me.
Kara looked to me, and I just gestured with my hands, surrendering to let her know, from me looking at her, that 'I didn't know that she was coming.'
"Okay, how do I put this, uh, Cillia, this is Michael. Micheal, this is Cillia. She's a friend; we met a few years ago when I first found this place." Kara explained to me.
Nodding to Kara, I looked at Cilia, and she looked at me hesitantly.
"Sorry to ask you this, but what are you?"
Kara was about to answer her question when Cilia looked at her sternly, which meant, 'I'm asking him, not you.'
Cilia returned her gaze.
Looking for an answer, I spoke.
"I'm a human."
