The three of us continued to eat after the whole talk; we could return to our eating, but I didn't seem to notice that Cillia was slightly without me.
I noticed she was looking at me with an intimate look of interest, which confused me when I was about to reach for the hot and sour soup.
At that moment, Cillia drew her generous, muscled dinner plate-sized hand to the soup, not to take it from me but to hand it to me so it would be easier to grab it without reaching over the table.
Speaking of which, Kara needed to grab a few pillows from the couch so it would be easier for me to sit in because the chair was slightly bigger than me, and I would explain how Kara and Cillia were somewhat more significant than I was.
After thanking Cilia for the soup, she gave me a nod, and after that, I could undo the top of the soup container. I was surprised that Kara, a member of the Anterrinas race, could travel to different planets.
This reminded me of an alternate version of the universe, like Star Trek, Star Wars, or any other space-traveling movie or television series, because those kinds of movies and shows depict a similar dynamic of space travel.
Heck, I liked this show back home called The Mandalorian. It was on this streaming network called Disney Plus, and the show happened to be created by this fantastic filmmaker named Jon Favreau.
The first and second seasons were great, but the third was slightly off.
Even though I didn't know, I could visualize a similar aspect from a science fiction perspective.
Before I could think of possibly traveling to an alien planet like the one Kara had told me about, I was interrupted when Kara asked me something. It slid away from my thoughts, so I looked at her confusedly.
"I'm sorry. Did you say something, Kara?"
"Yes, I was wondering what you did back in your world, but if I'm correct, you're a pilot?"
I nodded to her.
"Yes, and I was a school teacher who taught physics," I explained, hoping they understood the term or the scientific genre of physics.
Cillia seemed intent on hearing this and slightly looked from me to Kara.
"Really? What kind of physics exactly?"
I noticed Cillia looking intently at me, and her sudden change of behavior confused me, but I ignored her and focused my intention on her and Kara.
"Mostly like centrifugal force, generational pulls, and kinetic and potential energy. How certain objects function at certain parts in life."
"so you were a teacher who taught physics and then became a pilot?"
I looked over to Cilia and heard the confused and uncertain tone in her voice, and I couldn't blame her. Even how I processed that was a little confusing as well.
"I know it's crazy, but I was originally a pilot, and then I quit my job and worked as a teacher. After a few years or so, the program that hired me in the first place wanted me back. So, I went, and they wanted me to test a new source of fuel for the craft. And suddenly strange occurred, and the ocean greeted me at that moment, and here I am."
They were surprised to hear this there wide again, but not out of fear. I could tell their eyes were filled with curiosity and interest as well.
"That would make sense. Because you came from that spacecraft." Before I could speak, Cillia, while drinking her glass of water, caused herself to cough from sipping her water, which led her into a coughing fit. Kara and I looked at her with concern, but thankfully, she could breathe appropriately and catch her breath, only to look at me with wide eyes of surprise.
"Wait, you came from a ship?!" Cillia exclaimed.
"Well, unfortunately, it's stuck in the ocean reef just a few miles from the island's beach we are currently on."
The two were quiet, and I assumed they were in deep thought. They stopped eating and took a minute to process what I had just told them.
Then, after a minute, Kara looked at me with a questionable look.
"Wait, you said you were testing a new fuel? Is that the fuel you used for the craft you were in?" Looking at Kara's point, I saw she was pointing at the fuel source still resting on the wall next to the front door.
I looked back to Kara and nodded. Cillia even looked over and was surprised to see it all alone.
"cool," she muttered in awe and amazement.
