"What are you doing here?" Lisa ask in an icy cold tone before she brought her gaze back to her paperworks.
"I'm here to finish my contract with you. There are still a few days left with our agreement, right?" Jennie gave the Thai a sweet smile.
"There's no need for that." Lisa shook her head without her eyes leaving the papers she was reading. "You already tear the cheque I gave you, remember? That makes our agreement null and void."
"Then write me another cheque." Jennie said audaciously.
Lisa reached for the checkbook and wrote an amount. "Here. I'm paying you twice the amount to get out of my life." she stated coldly after handing her the cheque.
Jennie felt like her heart got torn into small pieces but she stayed strong. She deserves a cold treatment, after all. She did a mistake so it's only right that she's making it up to him.
When Lisa couldn't take it any longer she stood up and was about to leave the office.
"Lisa..." Jennie called. The tall woman stops but didn't bother to turn and face her. "Yesterday you said that you love me, right?" she ask in a pained voice.
"Yes, that's right." Lisa agreed. "As a matter of fact, until now I still love you so damn much."
Jennie's heart skipped a beat because of what she said.
"...but I won't risk my heart with you again." Lisa quickly added to her dismay. After that she completely exited the room to leave.
"I'll wait for you at the house!" Jennie said in a loud voice hoping that Lisa heard her although she has no idea what she's going to do once she threw her out of the house.
The very moment Lisa arrived at their apartment Jennie welcome her with a hug and a peck on her lips.
"You really don't give up, do you?" Lisa coldly said. "Let go of me because my skin is itching from your touch."
Jennie felt embarrassed and moved away from her. Now she's really cruel.
The sun is about set when Lisa gets back inside their room after staying all night inside the library.
"Hon, are you going to sleep now?" Jennie called through the darkness of the room.
Lisa didn't respond instead she just stood up infront of her.
From the faint light coming from outside the house she saw Lisa's face with no expression at all. Unconsciously she left the room to go back to the library to work again. Jennie sighed. It's only the first day of her trying to make up with her but she feels like she wanted to give up already.
The morning came, Jennie went straight to the kitchen and prepared their breakfast before heading towards the library. She was surprised to see Lisa sleeping on a small couch inside. She must be so tired that she forgot to remove her socks and coat.
Jennie kneeled infront of Lisa and starts removing her socks. She was her slave now. The Thai jolted awake feeling a gentle massage on her foot.
Jennie smiled. "Are you awake?"
"Ain't it obvious?"
'Ouch.' says her heart.
"I-I made you breakfast." Jennie informed when she got back to her feet.
Lisa didn't even threw a glance at the food Jennie prepared. She left the room and acted like she didn't heard what she said and saw her.
After Lisa left the house, Jennie changed her clothes and wander around Galleria the whole day. She didn't want to stay inside their house alone while waiting for her especially now that she's not certain if she will come home or not.
Jennie suddenly remember Lisa. She can't even begin to explain how much she misses her. With the way Lisa show her affection to her... her hugs and kisses... her laughs and smiles. She sighed. She's really stupid.
With her still in that state of reminiscing and grieving when she was surprised to see Lisa while she was walking with a beautiful woman. Correction... the woman is not that beautiful compare to her. But the woman was sexy, has a fair white skin, wearing jewelries all over her body and she look like she came from a rich family.
"Lisa, Sweetheart, does it look good on me?" the woman ask while holding a pair of bikini. "What do you think?"
"Of course." Lisa replied with a smile. "Why don't you try on something sexier."
"You're really naughty, Lisa." says the woman and even lightly slap Lisa on the arm.
And suddenly Jennie stops from grieving and felt so annoyed. With her head held high she walk towards the exit, not forgetting to give the Thai a nasty glance as she passed by infront of her. The woman was facing the other way while picking a much daring bikini where there's almost nothing to cover her private parts so she didn't saw her.
Jennie quickly entered the private entrance to Lisa's apartment and waited for her to come. She will give the tall woman a chance to explain herself.
Jennie fell asleep while waiting for her. She only woke up by the sound of a slutty giggle coming from the living room. She hops down the bed and leap towards the door to peak through it and see who they are. She saw a scandalous scene... a woman was sitting on Lisa's lap! The woman was holding a glass of liquor on one of her hand and was enjoying herself having conversation with Lisa.
Even without seeing the woman's face she knew that it was the same woman Lisa was with on the Galleria. Like they were doing it on purpose.
"The night is still young, Sweetheart." says the woman teasingly. "Why don't I join you in bed?" She saw how the woman play with Lisa's lips with her free hand.
"Not now, Sweetheart." Lisa answer in a soft voice, then glance towards Jennie's direction. "We can do it some other time." She even peck the tip of the woman's nose just like she does to her every time.
Jennie couldn't stomach the scandalous scenes she was seeing so she slam the door close.
"What was that?" the woman ask with her annoying voice.
"Nothing." Lisa shook her head and glance at the closed door again. "Just don't mind it." A satisfied smile curved onto her lips.
"That bitch! Ah, jjajeungna!" Jennie said through gritted teeth and her hands crumpling the pillows, imagining it was Lisa's bangs. She had to stop herself from going out there and splash the two with boiling hot water.
Hours had passed and Lisa's still not entering their room. She couldn't bare the thoughts that the two are together inside the library or on another room. She can do and accept anything except Lisa having another woman.
She was changing her clothes getting ready to leave the house when Lisa enters the room.
"Oh? Where are you going?" Lisa was comfortably sipping from her cup of coffee while watching Jennie pack some of her things. "I thought you said you're going to finish the remaining days to our agreement."
"You already gave me money for taxi yesterday, remember?" Jennie was pertaining to the cheque Lisa gave her.
"Is the taxi you're going to ride made of gold?" The Thai joked with a formal voice.
"Dangyeonhaji." Jennie answered in a sarcastic tone.
"You should wait for Soo Ah-ssi to wake up so we could all eat midnight snack together."
Jennie's tears started dripping down her cheeks with what Lisa said, she immediately turn her back on the tall woman so she won't see it. Grabbing her bag she quietly left the room.
Even if it's already in the middle of the night Jennie still called Somi and was told to wait for her in a twenty four hours convenience store a few blocks away from the Galleria Department store. She told her that her older sister brought a woman in her apartment.
Few minutes after the call was ended she saw Somi's yellow Lamborghini outside the store. The girl probably drove in warp speed to get to her that fast.
"You can spend the night in my apartment." Somi said with a smile while driving. "You have to regroup your thoughts before you go to war."
And that's where Jennie did slept. She jumped out of the bed when she heard knocks from the door of the guestroom where she was staying. Though it's impossible she still thought that it was Lisa.
"Hi." Somi greeted her with a smile.
"Somi..." she smiled back at the younger Manoban weakly.
"Ah! You were expecting my sister to come and rescue you. Unfortunately, I didn't call and tell her that you are here."
"She won't be even bothered to come here." Jennie look down to her feet as tears started to build in her eyes. "She's with that girl since yesterday."
"Yeah. I saw her in Galleria this morning." Somi said which hurt her even more. "She's not that pretty, honestly speaking, you're far more beautiful than her."
"But they're always together." Jennie complain at Somi with teary eyes.
The young Manoban chuckle. "Hey, Sis..." she wipe the tear that fell on her cheeks. "Where's that feisty lady I used to know?"
"I'm losing her, Somi."
"Unnie, while my sister's heart keeps on beating it's still not too late." she was assuring her that she can still win her over. "That foolish sister of mine moved heaven and earth just to have you. She won't just let you go that easily."
"Good morning, Miss Jennie." says the voice behind Somi.
"Charlie!"
"Do you mind?" asks Somi.
"Of course not." she answered.
"So, sexy sundress or casual chic?" Charlie ask raising both his hands which are holding a few clothes.
"Hmm.." Jennie stated, and pointed at the floral low neckline sundress. "That one."
"Let's have a bet." says Somi as she rests her back on the wall beside the door and cross her hands on her chest. "It'll only take two to three days and Lisa Unnie won't be able to keep her hands and eyes off of you again."
"Let me cut the neckline a little deeper so it'll only take a day." Charlie said which made Somi laugh loudly.
"What are you doing here?" Lisa ask immediately after opening the door and saw Somi and Jennie that afternoon infront of her apartment unit. She looked at Jennie from head to toe and find it hard to swallow because she look so alluring with that sundress and wedge-heeled sandals.
"I invited her." Somi answered.
"I'm not talking to you." Lisa said angrily to her sister.
Lisa even wonder why this two were together.
"You can wait for Lisa upstairs." Somi told Jennie. "We're just going to talk about something."
Jennie did what she was told as she couldn't take Lisa glaring daggers at her.
"Why did you bring her here?" Lisa ask coldly after Jennie left the two of them.
"This is her home."
"Well, not anymore!" Lisa responded in a hard tone.
Somi shrugs her shoulders before turning to leave. "That's not my problem."
Lisa only quietly stares at her brother leaving.
"Oh, incase you were wondering," Somi said before exiting the unit. "she slept at my house last night and--"
"You fucking bitch!" Lisa yelled in anger. The door was slammed shut behind Somi.
Lisa quickly followed Jennie upstairs to confront her. She can't just let this thing pass. They will fight right this moment.
Outside the unit, Somi only shook her head while smiling.
It's Lisa's angry face which she first saw when she emerged from the door. Even from the distance she can already see the muscles from her fave moving.
"What did you do in my motherfucking sister's house?" Lisa spoke in a low tone but her fingers were almost digging on Jennie's upper arms.
"Why are you even mad when you're the one who neglect me!" Jennie chided.
"Why? Did I told you to leave?"
"Would you rather I stay here and watch you flirting with your woman? I may be a lot of things but I'm not a masochist!"
"And whose fault it is that we ended up like this?" Lisa said. "Aren't you the one to be blamed?"
"You didn't say anything that you knew about our parents relationship!" Jennie snapped.
"You knew about it too but you didn't say a word about it either."
"I'm just protecting you!" Jennie yelled.
"And I'm also protecting you!" Lisa yelled back.
Jennie was out of breath while Lisa trying to calm herself.
"You have feelings for me for a long time but you didn't said anything." Jennie brought up.
"You also love me but you didn't said a word about it." Lisa chided.
"It's not my fault that you're numb!" Jennie snarled at Lisa.
Both turn silent for a while. If they won't do that they will just keep on arguing.
"N-Nothing happen between you and Somi?" Lisa's voice was calmer now.
"You idiot! I'm not like you!"
Lisa smiled involuntarily. It was the very first time that someone called her that. She is a Harvard Business School graduate and a Young Entrepreneur of the Year awardee, for crying out loud.
"Lisa, Sweetheart, where are you?" a woman called sweetly from downstairs. She could already guess who it is.
Jennie pouted. "You're Sweetheart is looking for you.'' she was about to leave when she stops her by holding her arms.
"Jennie-yah, we are still talking-" whatever Lisa was about to say got cut off when she cried in pain. She stomp on the tall woman's foot real hard with the wedges she was wearing. To think that Lisa's only wearing those thin house slippers that she gave her.
"Hon..." Lisa calls her while holding her hurt toes.
"Goodbye." Jennie marches out of the room.
When she got down the stairs, the woman snapped her head towards Jennie and glared at her, she glared back at the snappy woman, both were staring and sizing each other up.
"Who are you?" Looks like the woman got insecure when she saw Jennie.
"Lisa, Honey, the massage therapist is here." she said loud enough for Lisa to hear.
Lisa heard it from upstairs couldn't help but to laugh.
