The next day Jennie was awaken with the aroma of cooked meat. It was already nine o'clock in the morning, she had a good night sleep. She lazily got up from the bed and headed to the kitchen.
"Good morning," Lisa greeted her with a smile. She was only wearing her cropped bra top on her upper body and her pants were wet from the rainwater. She looked like a drenched Greek statue. A smile formed on Jennie's lips when she thought that she had already owned Lisa's body a couple of times.
"You look gorgeous," Jennie said dreamily.
"I do?" Lisa ask while wiping her wet hair using a small towel. Her other hand was holding a spatula while cooking. "No woman has ever told me that before."
"Because they're scared that they will lose you once you learned that they like so much." Jennie teased.
Lisa laugh and nods her head. "You have a point."
Moments later Lisa started putting the plates down infront of Jennie tteokgalbi, fried eggs, cabbage kimchi, zucchini pancakes, a bowl of rice and a red rose along with her spoon and chopsticks.
"Tteokgalbi and eggs for breakfast."
Jennie smiled. "I could get used to this."
"Eat," Lisa said while scooping some rice and putting it on her bowl.
"Where did you get all this?" Jennie was pertaining to the tteokgalbi bacon and eggs which she never saw yesterday.
"Somewhere over the rainbow," Lisa replied with a smile.
After eating, Lisa stood up and took Jennie's hand. "Come here." she says and lead her towards the balcony. "I want to show you something."
"Amazing!" was the only word Jennie could utter when she saw the full view of Gyeongpo lake in front of them.
The rain kept pouring hard on that side. Regardless of how much the rain is pouring you can still see the beauty of the lake and the cherry blossoms surrounding it.
"How can something so beautiful be so dangerous?" Lisa meaningfully ask while staring at the peaceful lake.
Jennie smiled. "I think you just answered your own question."
Silence.
"Jennie-ssi.."
"Hmm?"
"It's not too late to start a new life--"
"Lisa-ssi, can we talk about something else." Jennie interrupts in whatever she was about to say next.
Lisa sighed. "Okay."
It already stops raining and the refreshing sunlight was slowly starting to appear. The two of them were both cuddling while lying on a hammock in the garden.
Feeling contented, Lisa filled her lungs with fresh air. "Whenever the weather is like this I always feel like I don't wanna go back to Seoul."
A small smile appeared on Jennie's lips. That's what she was just about to say to Lisa. And the fact that there's only a few hours left before they part ways.
Lisa's phone rang so she excused herself to take it. "Hello, Sujin-ah?" she greeted happily. "Why, thank you, Sweetheart..."
Jennie slowly got up from the hammock and went back inside the house. Looks like she'll be on the phone longer than expected. Lisa is not yet married but she forgot to ask the woman if she's in a relationship or not. What does it have to with her, right? It's none of her business.
In the midst of her being alone, Jennie decided to give her aunt a call using her phone. She was raised by her late mother along with her aunt alone. Her mother died three years ago. The only suspect that they could blame was of a heartbreak.
"Jennie-yah, where are you?" says her aunt on the other line. "Sora says a beautiful lady came to fetch you two days ago."
With years of experience her auntie Gahee speak and her gestures were of a perfectly demure woman. It's one of the things she taught her while she was growing up.
"I'm in good hands, Auntie." She responded. "I'm with a business woman here in Gangwon-do. She's the older sister of that girl who fetch me last night."
"Omo! Omo!" she exclaimed in glee. "I hope she paid you well for your first night."
Her face twisted into a grimace. "S-she did."
"What's she like, my dear?" Gahee asked. "Is she pretty? Is she romantic? Is she married?"
"Lisa-ssi is filthy rich." she simply replied. "That's all you need to know."
"Lisa..." Gahee muttered like she was savoring each and every letter of that name. "I'm sure she has a famous last name?"
"I don't care about her last name. I'm only interested in her money." Jennie was sure that those words were what her auntie wants to hear from her even though it's against her will.
"All right, dear, but always remember the rule. Never fall in love with your client and don't you ever--"
"I know what to do, Auntie. I'll have her wrapped around my fingers." she interrupts to stop the older woman from her long speech. "Not the other way around."
"Oh, very good my dear Jennie-yah!" she exclaimed in joy. "I'm so proud--"
"Auntie, let's just talk some other time. I'm sure Lisa-ssi is looking for me already." she was starting to regret for giving the older woman a call. "Goodbye, Auntie."
Jennie immediately pressed the end call button along with the newly formed important decision she was about to make. She's not going back to the life that her aunt Gahee wants for her.
Lisa was right. It's not too late to start a new life. She sighed. The money that her younger sister used to pay for her must be enough to start anew.
On the other side, Lisa gritted her teeth from what she heard. She was standing on a corner where Jennie couldn't see her. She did not expect to hear all those words from the woman she almost worshipped awhile ago.
Jennie was an excellent liar to fool the likes of her. To think that she's good to judge someone's personality. Her brain quickly starts to make a plan.
Lisa was sitting quietly in front of the dining table with a bottle of scotch in front of her. Without knowing the reason why Jennie saw how the woman's expression suddenly changed and big doe eyes eyes turned into slits when she caught a sight of her.
"I'm glad you finally decided to honor with your presence." Lisa said, sarcasm dripping like acid in her tone, before gulping the liquor in her rocks glass.
"I-I just gave my aunt a call to let her know that I'm okay."
Lisa grimaced. "Did you also tell her that you're with a very rich woman too?"
Jennie knitted her brows. "Lisa-ssi..."
The Thai took another gulp of her liquor before speaking. "I'll be honest with you, Jennie-ssi. I want you exclusively mine for a month." her tone is cold as ice. "Let's make it two, three or exactly for a 100 days while I'm still into you." She was staring at Jennie while her finger was playing at the rim of the rocks glass. "How much?"
"What do you mean?" Jennie ask in confusion. Til now she still couldn't understand the sudden change in her demeanor
"Simple." Lisa shrugs. "How much for your kisses, for you hugs-- for you love?"
"I can sell all that except for my love!" Jennie retorts back. Somehow she knew she had to fight back.
"Knowing you, even that has a price."
"You don't know me, Lisa-ssi."
"Yeah, I noticed." Lisa said with a grim look on her face.
"Take your itch somewhere else, Lisa-ssi." Jennie stated in a voice as cold as ice. "There are lots of women out there who would do all that without expecting anything in return."
Lisa stood up and went to her. "You don't understand." she shook her head. "I want YOU. So you better take this chance while I'm still crazy over you."
"You're a monster!" Jennie yelled at the tall woman. "You're just after my body!"
"And you're just after my money!" Lisa yelled back. "We're even."
"Funny." Jennie sarcastically stated. "I never thought about your damned money while we were making love!"
Lisa let out a cynical laugh. "We had sex, Jennie! Carnal and raunchy sex! Don't sugarcoat it by adding the word 'love' into the equation."
Jennie's hand flew and slap Lisa across her face before she ran back inside the room. The door almost lost all of it's hinges when she closes it with so much force. In the kitchen Lisa was left dumbfounded while caressing her swollen cheek.
Jennie lied down the bed and let go of the resentment surging inside her. It didn't took long before the door slowly opens. She heard footsteps coming towards her. Lisa stops a few feet away from her.
"Sleep. We're heading back to Seoul tomorrow morning."
"I'm not going with you." Jennie replied in a cold tone.
"Let's talk about that tomorrow." Lisa says before leaving the room.
A small part of Jennie was hoping for her to come back inside the room and talk to her. She knew they needed to talk. But she never came back.
The next day, Jennie woke up really early for her to get ready on her way back to Seoul. It's gonna be a long trip back to the capital. She wore the same clothes which she had been washing to wear again. It feels like she went into a war with no weapons at all.
Lisa, on the other hand, was like a goddamn supermodel with just her jeans, red sleeveless top and black Gentle Monster sunglasses.
Jennie was about to go down the concrete stairs before reaching the road to where Lisa was waiting beside a black sedan Volvo . It felt like she would've roll down the stairs if she didn't steady herself when she saw Lisa removed her shades. The woman was watching her every move.
"My offer still stands." Lisa started when she got near her. "Hop in."
"Go away, Lisa-ssi." she said, annoyed. "I might charge you for talking to me."
Lisa crosser her arms over her chest. "How much would you charge me for this conversation?"
"One million for every word!" Jennie snarled at her. "So you better leave me alone! I hate you so--"
Lisa cuts her off as she slammed her lips on Jennie's, claiming her mouth in a violent kiss. Like she was punishing her after she made a huge mistake.
"Yah!" she protests while pushing Lisa away. With that she suddenly let go of her. Was it pain that Jennie saw in Lisa's eyes? She's not sure though.
A lazy smile slowly curved on the Thai's lips. "Good luck finding a cab then." She steps inside her car and looked at Jennie. "I'm just here incase you changed your mind." she continued before she rolled the window up.
Jennie was forcing herself to ignore the car. She felt uncomfortable thinking that Lisa was staring at her inside that car. What more is that the car was heavily tinted that she couldn't even see the silhouette of that woman.
She started to walk with no direction. It's much better than to gawk and just wait all day beside Lisa's car. It didn't even surprise her when the car's engine went on and was tailing after her. She could only imagine the woman's evil grin inside her head.
Her feet were starting to hurt after walking for about thirty minutes, but still no luck of seeing another car passed by the road. Only the Volvo that was her following her closely is the only car she could see. After losing hope, she stops and quickly knocks on the car's window. Lisa opens the door on the passenger's side and let her in.
"Is that a yes?" Lisa ask after she settled in.
"I'm just going to let you use my body in exchange of your money, right?" Jennie said mockingly. "That's easy."
Lisa didn't know whether she should be happy or to be angry with what she heard. "That's what I like about you, Jennie, you and I having something in common. We're both slick when it comes to money."
"I know." Jennie answers back in a bitchy way. "But I'm more cunning than you."
Lisa's mouth twisted in a contemptuous sneer. "You obviously don't have any idea who you're talking to." she steps on the accelerator to gain speed on their way back to the city.
The time was passing by so slowly while they are on their way back to the Seoul so Jennie decided to sleep. She was only awaken when she felt a pair of eyes watching her sleep.
Jennie opens her eyes and find Lisa staring at her. They stared at each other for a while before the Thai decided to break it. "I stopped for some gas."
Jennie looked outside the car. They are in a big gas station. Her gaze followed the attendant who went to Lisa's side and gave her a credit card receipt to sign. She quickly read what's on the small piece of paper before signing on it. The attendant gave Lisa back her credit card and ID.
"I'm sure you're already hungry. There's a restaurant on the other side of the road. We should eat first." Lisa says before sitting back down infront of the steering wheel. "Let's go."
They were in the act of getting inside the building when Lisa's phone started ringing. She told Jennie to go in first since she has to take the call.
Some of the people who were already inside gazes at Jennie as she was walking towards an empty table she saw. She was already used by the attention the sons of Adam was giving to her so she just ignored the admiration in their eyes that were penetrating through her thin clothes. She even paid no attention to the whispering of the male teenagers on the counter.
"Hi, Miss." says a handsome guy who suddenly just showed up seconds after she sat down. "Is this seat taken?"
"Yes, it is." said a dangerous voice behind her. She looked and saw the hard expression on Lisa's face.
"Uh, I'm sorry about that." says the guy with an awkward expression as he got embarrassed. "I just thought you needed company."
The guy put a small paper infront of Jennie. His eyes never left her face. "Call me." he says before giving her a wink.
The guy was probably rich as well but even her didn't like the way he just ignored Lisa's presence rudely. Her thoughts got cut off when she suddenly pulled off the chair and dragged outside.
"Are you really that desperate that even here you are looking for another customer?" Lisa looked so mad.
"What?" Jennie said indignantly.
"Oh, c'mon, Jennie!" Lisa said and gestures both of his hands. "You know what I mean."
"Obviously I don't."
"Stop playing innocent with me, you little whore!" Lisa's voice boomed to her ears.
Silence surrounded the two of them.
"Just what did I do wrong, Lisa-ssi?" Jennie ask which put the tall woman mind right back on track.
Lisa stilled. Jennie actually didn't do anything wrong. It wasn't her fault that those bastards inside the restaurant finds her beautiful. She saw everything through the glass windows outside the building while she was on the phone so she knew Jennie did not seduced that guy who gave her a calling card.
"I can't stand this anymore!" Jennie grab her bag which was inside Lisa's car and started to walk away from the woman's direction. "If you can't respect me it's much better if we part ways."
"Oh, this is great!" Lisa commented and throws her hands up in the air. "Are you going to make me run after you again?"
Jennie stops and face her. "I never asked you to run after me!"
"But I'm still chasing after you, damn it!" Lisa voice though controlled, promised violence. "Don't make me look like a fool, Jennie."
Silence.
"It's getting late." Lisa said after a while with a cold tone. "Let's go home."
After almost half an hour on the road, the car stops infront of a very huge mall. The woman walks in with fast pace while holding her hand.
Lisa talked to a man who looked distinctly businesslike and gave him her car keys. The other staffs in there rushing in to form a line to greet them. It made her wonder about the woman she's with. She must be a damn big customer in this place to deserve that kind of respect.
They went straight towards a secluded entrance near the information desk. They used it as a way to go to an apartment complex building which is just behind it. Both structures were located at the heart of the metropolis.
After a while they reached a parking lot which she think is only exclusive for the beautiful woman who's holding her hand. Jennie is starting to have suspicion.
She saw four luxury cars were in there... a white Range Rover, silver Genesis G90, black Audi A8 and a red Alfa Romeo Stelvio. She got surprised when she saw the black car they were riding awhile ago went in.
The car fits perfectly into the empty space just as her thoughts fit like a puzzle. Lisa owns all of this! She was stunned. She knew that this woman is rich, but not this rich.
"This is where I live." Lisa simply said.
She was speechless when they went inside a luxurious pad after riding a private elevator which is just beside the parking lot. The room was a combination of steel, silver and blue, with a few random touches of white.
From the door they went in, a flat screen TV was placed infront of a huge sofa. Beside it was a mini bar which is full of different expensive brands of wines and liquors. The pad is too huge for a single person to live in, but she felt so uninvited.
With her hand still in Lisa's, they climb up a stairs made of metal to the second floor. She left her for a moment and went back to give her a cheque containing the amount of her whole being.
Oh ,right. Jennie remembered. Lisa just bought her awhile ago. "That should be enough." She says.
She look at the cheque and almost fall to her knees with the amount written in there. "Enough to last me two lifetimes." Jennie said sarcastically.
Lisa shrugged her shoulders. "I'm a good customer."
Jennie sneered at her. "Where's my room?"
"Ours?" Lisa said while opening one of the doors. "This one."
Jennie sighed. "You should start now so you can have as many as you want." she mocked while staring at the bed.
Silence.
Lisa pulled one of her credit cards in her wallet and handed it to her.
"What is this?" Jennie ask with furrowed eyebrows.
"Your allowance." Lisa answered coldly.
"What will I do with this?"
"Buy a yacht if you want." Lisa replied in annoyance before turning her back on her.
'Huh? Did this woman forgot that her identification is needed for a credit card transaction? As if I'll be able to use this.' "I thought--"
"I lost my appetite." Lisa responded with a hint of anger. The walls almost crack when she closes the door with a lot of force. Did she just walk out on her? How rude!
Jennie was expecting that Lisa will have her in bed that night, but the sun is already rising but she never went back inside that room. She was ceaselessly looking at the door, hoping that she would thought to spend the night beside her.
Lisa never did.
