This shit here was ratchet as hell Tex and Mo getting married in the courthouse and me and Banks were their witness. Dugga and Yvette showed up late and come to find out he had pop the question to his girl too. Now I've known Banks longer than these hoes knew their men and they all had rings before me, so yea I was feeling some type of way on the ride to the restaurant.
"You look mad or like something is bothering you since we left the courthouse". He asked me, this nigga knew exactly what the problem was.
"Nothing I'm fine" I replied dryly.
"You mad because they got ring on their fingers and you don't"?
I didn't respond and so he continued . "It's not our time yet bae . I love you that's for sure, but you don't even trust me. I want you to trust me and believe me when I say things before I get down on one knee. I also wanna be ready to be that great husband you need before I propose and even though I'm working on it I'm not there yet".
I sigh and said lowly "alright". He chuckled "Damn you real salty about this shit. Can you not be that way at dinner please". I just began to think back on that day when I first moved in with Banks and his mom.
Flashback
"I'm so glad to have you here Gucciana your momma will be home in no time". Me. Evelyn said as we walked up the steps to her small home. I was still terrified from the night before where my mom decided to kill one of her boyfriends for putting his hands on me. She was sober this time when it happened and decided for once to stick up for me.
"My son should be in here somewhere" she said unlocking her front door and we walked in.
"He's probably on that damn game again....KEEL" she called out.
She called him four more time before I heard "what ma I'm on the game".
"Come let me introduce you to our house guest".
He came into view and I knew the boy. He went to my school hung around the popular kids. "Oh shit your the girl who hides in the bathroom all the time"?
"Language sir"!
"Sorry ma" he said coming over and sitting on the couch across from me.
"What's your name"? He said sounding friendly. His mom spoke "Gucciana is her name".
"Weird name I'll call you Gucci though or Gucc is that fine"? He asked, with a smile.
I nod my head yes and he replied "what she don't speak ma"? He said laughing.
I was looking down the whole time, but when he said that i looked up and said to him "I nodded my head what more do you want"?
His mom chuckled "oh yea Keel you got your match now".
"Snappy you know how to play video games"?
"Yea" I said. He stood up come on then.
Going to his room he opened the door for me and I walked in the junky room.
"Um..." he said . I turned and looked at him as he was looking at me.
"Your room is junky" I said in a low tone.
"Wasn't expecting company sit you kinda healthy for a ten year old . Didn't know all that was under them boy clothes you wear".
I rolled my eyes "well your skinny for a ten year old how about that"? He laughed and said "here's the controller all that sassiness you got let's see if you can back it up in Mortal Combat".
"I guess now that your living with us I gotta watch out for you and shit. It's cool I don't care just don't be wanting to hang with me in school alright"?
"Fine".
Flash back over
"Bae! Girl you hear me talking to you"! I snapped out my thoughts "what"?
"We are here". I looked up and saw the restaurant sign "oh okay let's go".
