After Leo came back, he still kept dragging his feet on signing the divorce papers.
Nina straight-up moved into the bedroom in his office suite.
When she got hungry, she'd eat his food.
When she got tired, she'd crash in his bed.
Every now and then she'd text me the latest gossip.
"The cops showed up at Hartwell Corp today. Can't believe someone as sharp as you got played like that. They arrested that homewrecker's cousin, but the little bitch got away."
"That Chanel dress? Totally Roxy testing how far she could push Leo."
Turns out when Leo first laid eyes on Roxy, he'd hinted to HR to hire her even though she was pretty mediocre across the board.
Roxy fell for Leo hard at first sight.
For the first six months, she was super careful, just doing her secretary job and keeping her head down.
She'd heard Leo was totally different at work versus at home.
At the office, he was this hardass who demanded perfection—screw up even a little and you'd fired.
But when she spilled coffee on important documents or mixed up PowerPoint presentations for meetings?
This supposedly ruthless CEO didn't chew her out at all—he was gentle about it, just told her to be more careful next time.
It wasn't until she met me, the actual Mrs.Hartwell, that she figured out why Leo was cutting her so much slack.
That's when she started gunning for me.
Later on, her asshole cousin Blaze racked up serious gambling debts and came to her for help.
Once he found out who Leo was, he talked her into using her looks to hook Leo and cash in.
Then they'd both be set for life.
Roxy thought Leo actually had feelings for her, so she used that Chanel dress to test the waters.
When Leo made an exception for her, she saw her shot.
The night of the gala, she used returning the dress as an excuse to get Leo away from me again.
But all Leo did was help her return it.
He even pre-ordered two pieces from next season's collection for me.
When Roxy's hopes got crushed, she knew she had to make Leo hate me more.
That's where the whole thing with Blaze "accidentally" bumping into me came from—him getting on his knees, cleaning my coat, begging for forgiveness.
Blaze was desperate to get money to pay off his gambling debts.
So at that hotel during the business trip, he and Roxy drugged Leo.
They were trying to force a situation where they'd have to get married.
But Leo fought through the drugs just enough to push her away.
That's when Blaze had to resort to making those fake photos and videos to piss me off.
Make me bow out on my own.
So when I threw those pictures in Leo's face, that's why Roxy reacted the way she did.
Good thing Leo didn't give up and got to the truth.
Blaze got arrested on multiple charges—illegal gambling, blackmail, theft, endangering someone's safety.
But they still haven't find Roxy.
Hearing all this, I couldn't help thinking—
If Leo had just kept his distance from other women like he used to, who could've played me like this?
