The air inside Dominic’s private war room was suffocating.
Screens displayed maps, security footage, and dossiers on every known associate of Alessandro.
Every face was marked with red circles. One by one, Dominic planned to erase them.
Luca stood beside him, silent, loyal. He had seen Dominic cold and violent before. But never like this. This was personal.
“He’s hiding behind old money in Europe,” Luca reported. “Swiss accounts. Private estates. A network we haven’t cracked.”
Dominic’s jaw clenched. “Then we dismantle it. Piece by piece. I don’t care how long it takes. I don’t care who we burn.”
Aria entered the room quietly. She had been watching Dominic spiral for days now.
“I’ve spoken to my father’s old contacts,” she said, her voice steady. “Some of them know where Alessandro’s family retreats are. Hidden estates, private compounds. Off-grid.”
Dominic’s head snapped toward her. “You should’ve told me sooner.”
“I didn’t want to open that door unless we had to,” she said softly. “Now we have to.”
He studied her carefully, eyes burning. “You still remember every detail, don’t you?”
“Yes,” she answered without shame. “Because I knew one day this past would come back to haunt us.”
Dominic stepped closer, towering over her, his hands gripping her shoulders tightly. Not violent, but not gentle either.
“I don’t want him haunting us, Aria. I want him erased.”
Her voice dropped to a whisper. “Then let’s finish this. No more shadows.”
The First Move
That night, Dominic’s soldiers moved.
Three of Alessandro’s old money launderers were captured. Two were executed instantly. The third was brought to Dominic alive.
The man knelt in the cold warehouse, trembling. Bloodied.
Dominic circled him slowly, like a panther ready to strike.
“You’ve worked for him for years,” Dominic said coldly. “You know where he is.”
“I—I can’t—he’ll kill me,” the man stammered.
Dominic crouched down, voice like poisoned silk. “You misunderstand. He won’t get the chance to kill you. Because I will end you first.”
The man broke instantly. “Spain! An estate outside Barcelona. High walls. Private security. He’s there!”
Dominic smiled darkly. “Thank you.”
He pulled his gun and fired without hesitation.
The man slumped forward, dead.
Later — The Penthouse
Aria watched him quietly as he poured a glass of whiskey. His hands were steady, but she could feel the storm raging inside him.
“You’re slipping deeper into this, Dominic.”
He turned, eyes burning. “I am doing what needs to be done.”
“At what cost?” she whispered.
He crossed the room in two strides, cupping her face, his touch both tender and terrifying.
“You are my cost. My prize. My obsession. And no man alive will ever take you from me.”
Aria’s breath caught. The line between love and madness blurred further every day.
But still — she craved him. She feared him. And she could never leave him.
