.Evangeline.
"B, I don't know why I am so damn nervous when I am already freakin' married!" I tugged at the wedding dress I was wearing, "Don't you think it's too tight?" "Maybe because now you are getting married to the man you love..." she said as a matter of factly, standing behind me as the woman adjusted the dress.
I rolled my eyes, "He was always the man I loved..." I lightly touched the saleswoman's shoulder, "I don't think it's the right dress for me..." She gave me a polite smile, "I'll bring out a few more dresses, Mrs. Costello."
Bianca blew out a raspberry, "Nope, he was the man you admired, you had a teen girl crush on him. My cousin, Niko is a handsome man, I have seen how girls throw themselves at him; you were just one of them that's why you jumped into marriage with him without even understanding what it was. You first married him because you wanted him but now it's different. Now you are marrying him because you love him, you need him because he is the only man you want in your life. Now, you're nervous because you understand what marriage means, it's way more than just love. It's the man you want to spend the rest of your life with. It's companionship for life..."
I smiled and looked down at the ugly wedding dress I was trying on. The way she described a marriage was beautiful and scary at the same time. The day I got married to Nikolai before was all hazy in my mind, it happened all so fast, and it was all so weird that I didn't give it a second thought. All I wanted at the time was to never lose him. She's right, I craved him, I was extremely attracted to him but now it's different, now I love him with every fiber of my being.
The saleswomen brought out a few more dresses, we were standing in the store of New York City's most famous and exclusive wedding gown designer. Each of these dresses cost more than I could imagine and I still couldn't find the right one for me.
"I don't like them..." I told her sheepishly, she was still sweet to me as she nodded and went back to where she came from, I know by now she was annoyed by me.
We went over all the wedding dresses for another hour until I finally found what I was looking for and when my eyes fell on that perfect dress my heartbeat stopped just like it stops when I look at Nikolai.
Bachelorette party, I really didn't want one because I wasn't really a bachelorette but Bianca insisted.
She said she never got to throw me one and now was a perfect time, as my Matron of Honor-she was taking it quite seriously-she took care of everything. She made a list of my and Nikolai's likes and dislikes, she wanted all of it to be a perfect blend of both of us. As I read those lists, I realized Nikolai didn't have many likes while the list of dislikes was too long, the likes part only had one thing listed-Evangeline. A blush crept up my cheeks and I handed the list back to her.
I never took Nikolai as the guy who'd take interest in wedding preparation but apparently, he accompanied me to everything-the cake tasting, the dance rehearsal, and even took care of the seating charts and invitations.
I wanted a big wedding and the only thing he demanded is that I won't stand him up at the altar which I had no plan of doing.
The upbeat music was blasting through the speakers. All the girls of the Cosa Nostra were dancing around with strippers in the skimpiest outfits, I was also wearing a very scandalous outfit too.
Nikolai was busy, so, he never got the chance to see me today, I was relieved, or else he would have had a stroke-something about no one was allowed to see what belonged to him.
I moved my hips to the beat, my hand up in the air. A young stripper with phenomenal abs came to my front, he snaked his arm around my waist, pulling me closer.
"That's Nikolai Costello's wife!" Bianca shouted at him from over the music, the poor guy let go of me as if I had burned him and sauntered in the other direction.
The second he was out of sight, Bianca burst out laughing. "I love it when they run with their tails between their legs whenever they hear the name Nikolai Costello." "You're such a bitch, we were just dancing!" I playfully pushed her back.
"Need to make sure you're fine so, Nikolai won't kill me!"
Arm in arm, we went back to our booth. I downed the shots of tequila that were presented to us and felt a vibration coming from my bag. I unzipped out and fished out my cell phone.
My eyes bulged out of their sockets when I saw thirteen missed calls from Nikolai. Shit! I'm dead... I stood up with wobbly legs and went to a quieter corner of the club. I found a room and went inside, it was luckily empty so, I sat over the couch and called him back.
He picked up after a single ring, "Evangeline?"
"Hi, baby..." I giggled.
"Shit, I was fucking losing my shit! Where the fuck are you?"
"We are at a party... My bachelorette party"
"I know, where?"
I frowned, "I don't know..."
I heard a deep sigh in return. "Send me your location."
"Okay..." I pulled away the cell phone from my ear, sent him my location, and then turned back to the calls. "I just did."
"I'm coming to get you, alright, Love?"
I smiled. "I like the sound of that..."
"What?"
"The new name..."
"Love?"
"Yes..."
"I'll be there in a few minutes, alright?"
"Okay, just hurry... I miss you"
I could hear the faint sound of the car's engine coming to life in the background before he hung up. I sauntered back out and went straight to the dancefloor. I pushed my way through Bianca and the stripper and joined them.
We danced for I don't know how long but suddenly someone grabbed my arm and pulled me into them. I looked up and my eyes met with the furious eyes of my devilishly handsome husband.
He grabbed my face and attached his lips to my ear. "We are going home, now!"
I grinned up at him, "Yes, sir."
A hint of dark amusement lit up in his eyes. He looked behind me and nodded to his men, "Take care of everyone else..." saying that, he strode out pulling me with him.
God, his walk was so powerful. I wanted to fuck the way he walked...
We went out of the club and he made me sit in his car, fastening my seatbelt. He settled in the driving seat; I leaned over and kissed his cheek. "I love you..." I whispered against his skin. "And I love you," he replied, keeping his attention on the road.
"Take me..."
He smiled, "Let's go home first."
"Nope, can't wait any longer."
"Evangeline, I'm driving."
"Then stop driving."
He glanced at me, his eyes darkened as they slid down my body, the dress was too tight, too revealing, and the neckline looked like my boobs will pop out of it at any second, "Make me..."
I sucked his earlobe, "Fine..."
I clicked open my seatbelt and jumped into the backseat. Nikolai adjusted the rearview mirror, so he could get a better look at me while driving. The window was tinted, and no one could see anything from outside.
I hiked my dress up to my waist and slowly slid my underwear down to my legs. I took it off and tossed it over at him, it landed on his lap. He looked down at it and clamped his teeth down his lower lip as if he was restraining himself.
I spread my legs wide apart and slowly moved my finger over my clit. I saw his jaw visibly clenching. I forced two of my finger inside of me and moaned his name as I thrust them in and out. "Nik..." "Motherfucker!" he hissed under his breath.
He parked the car in a secluded area before he opened his car door and stepped out.
I frowned, did he just leave me here? Like this?
