                    (Lily’s POV)
I would never forget the sight of Lamia breaking away from my hand, and running with joy as she screamed, “Daddy!”
Time slowed. My world tilted.
Before I could fully process it, Zeus, my son also let go of Uncle Tobe’s hand and sprinted after his sister without hesitation. He trusted her instincts. He always did, and seeing her run to someone with that much joy had been enough for him.
And just like that, my nightmare came to life... The day my children met their father.
My legs trembled where I stood. My heart pounded so violently I thought it might burst through my chest.
It was him. It was Zion. The man who had haunted my dreams and memories, the man I had walked away from and didn't look back.
And now here he was with my children... as though here to rip apart the fragile peace I had tried to build in the past five years.
My breath hitched. I fought the tears that stung the back of my eyes. I couldn't cry here, not in front of all these people... Not in front of my children.
What was he even doing here? Had he been stalking me? Couldn’t he had just stay hidden like he had all these years? Why return only to shatter everything again?
Thank the Moon Goddess for Tobe and Dev. The moment they sensed what Lamia and Zeus did, they moved with blinding speed and snatched the children gently but firmly from Zion’s arms before handing them to me like precious cargo.
I clutched them close, their little bodies writhing in protest.
“No! Let us go! That’s Daddy!” Lamia cried, pushing at me, her tiny fists landing on my chest.
“Put us down! We want Daddy!” Zeus screamed, tears streaming down his cheeks, his nails scratching my arm as he fought to get free.
My children; my sweet, loving children were lashing out at me. They had never been violent with me before. Never.
The pain cut deeper than any wound.
Even as my heart bled with tears clouding my vision, I whispered, “Thank you,” to Dev and Tobe.
Zion’s eyes glowed from where he stood, his jaw clenched, his shoulders tight. I felt Ragnar before I saw him. His beast was furious.
I didn’t wait.
Tapping into my beasts' strength, I tightened my hold on the kids and dashed for the car with inhuman speed, yanking the door open and collapsing inside with them.
“Drive, Marc..." I was saying but stopped myself.
I was ready to bolt us away from this impending doom, but my mind screamed at me. Where were Dev and Tobe? What if something had happened to them? What if Zion had lost control and hurt them?
I swallowed hard. “Lock the doors, Marcus,” I said quietly. “We will wait..."
Menwhile, Lamia and Zeus sat, sobbing beside me.
“You’re mean!” Lamia cried.
“I don’t love Mommy anymore,” Zeus mumbled, curling against the far side of the seat.
My throat tightened. My heart cracked.
“Babies, please… please don’t say that,” I pleaded, reaching for them but they turned away, still captivated by the presence of the man who had stolen their hearts in seconds.
A knock on the car window startled me. It was Dev and Tobe.
I quickly unlocked the door and slipped out, cleaning my tears. “Marcus, lock the car again. Don’t let any of them out.”
“Yes ma’am.”
Tobe’s hand immediately gripped my shoulder. “Are you okay?”
I nodded, my voice thin. “Yes… thanks to you both. I don’t know what would’ve happened if you weren’t here.”
Dev’s brows were furrowed. “What the hell just happened, Lily? How did the kids know their father?"
I exhaled shakily. “Lamia… she had a dream about him. About all of us. She saw it some days ago and drew a picture... she said he was tall with blue eyes, and that all of us were very happy."
Dev rubbed his jaw. "But still, how was she able to get him accurately? and know who he was in person?
Tobe’s eyes narrowed as he looked at the car. “Exactly! It's not normal that a person, talk more a four-year old child get that accurate level of vision... it wasn't a coincidence."
A long silence stretched between us.
Dev's brows furrowed in thoughts, and suddenly he snapped his fingers in realization “Are you guys thinking what I'm thinking? Do you think… that she could have some traits from Aunt Lamia?"
My eyes widened.
“She’s named after her,” Tobe said carefully. “And Aunt Lamia was a powerful witch. Could it be a residue of her magic? Or… or maybe its from the Queen’s bloodline. You said Queen Eden sees visions too, right?”
Dev nodded slowly. “It’s possible... Either way, this is serious and worth looking into.”
I looked between them, my heart sinking deeper.
