"Doccccc!!!" Grian calls out as he is on his way to annoy Doc. When he doesn't hear a snarky response or even a sigh, Grian gets worried. Doc always responds right away. So when Grian walked to Doc's room and opened the door, the last thing he expected to see was Doc shaking and coughing roughly. He was definitely sick. Grian walked over to Doc and placed his hand against Doc's forehead, he's burning up.
"Woah! Let me grab you some medicine from the store. Stay right here!" Grian says as he walks out of Doc's house quickly to go to the store for some medicine.
As soon as he gets back, he sees that Doc is worse than before. He rushes over places the tea he got Doc down and opens the medicine, he pours it in the small plastic cup before tapping Doc's shoulder.
"Open wide." Grian tells Doc. Doc does, so Grian carefully pours the medicine into Doc's mouth carefully.
"I got you your favorite tea, green tea, of course. So if you want to drink some of that, you can, or you can just rest until I get you a warm towel." Grian says as he goes to Doc's bathroom.
Doc grabs the tea, his hands shaking as he sips the tea.
When Grian comes into the room, Doc has already finished the tea. Grian smiles and walks over to Doc and lays a wet and warm towel on Doc's forehead.
"Now get some rest. I'll check on you in 4 hours." Grian says as he turns off the lights. Doc hums a response and closes his eyes tiredly. As Doc falls asleep, Grian walks over quietly and kisses his forehead.
"Rest well, Doc.." Grian whispers as he leaves the room.
A few hours later, Doc wakes up.
"Ngh.." Doc groans unhappily as he opens his eyes. He sees a table next to his bed with a plate of food and a cup of tea on it. He looks up slightly more and sees...Grian. He has that playful but kind smirk on his face. Doc loves it.
"Oh, finally! I thought you were hibernating!" Grian grins as he walks over and places a cup of medicine down. "Eat up then drink some medicine. You have a high fever." Grian says.
Doc nods and starts eating the eggs Grian made him. After a while, he stops and asks, "Why did you do this?" Doc asks as he stares at Grian's... beautiful blue eyes.
"Because you're my friend Doc. This is what friends who care about each other do." Grian answers as he sits on the edge of Doc's bed.
Doc's gaze softens as he slides his hand to grab Grian's. "Grian, I'm not sure if you knew this or not but...You mean the world to me." Doc mutters shyly as he hides his eyes behind his free hand.
Grian squeezes Doc’s hand softly. "Aw~ I know Doc. You mean the world to me, too." Grian tells Doc gently and gives him a big smile. The look makes Doc weak in the knees.
Doc lets his head fall forward as a blush appears on his cheeks and ears. His heart flutters. "Now finish eating. You need your energy." Grian chuckles lightly as he gets up.
"W-Wait!" Doc mutters as he grabs Grian's hand tighter. "Stay with me..?" Doc stammers nervously as he looks up at Grian.
Grian blushes as Doc pulls him onto his lap. Their foreheads brush, and they both close their eyes, enjoying the closeness. "Of course, Doc..." Grian mumbles.
Doc wraps his arms around Grian protectively. Doc rests his chin against Grian's head. Both guys are in silence as Doc continues to eat. Grian can feel the warmth of Doc's body against him, and it brings a gentle feeling to him. A happy one.
"Hey, Doc.." Grian murmurs softly after a long while.
"Yeah..?" Doc murmurs softly as he drinks the medicine.
"I love you." Grian blurts out without thinking.
Doc freezes at those words. His breath hitches, and he slowly leans back, breaking their embrace. "Huh?" he asks, confused and stunned.
"I love you," Grian repeats softly as he reaches up to brush Doc's cheek with his thumb. It's then that Doc notices how close together they are.
His heart skips a beat. "Y.. you what?" Doc asks quietly. Grian chuckles a bit sadly as he takes his hand from Doc's cheek.
"I said I love you, Doc." Grian repeats once again.
Doc's gaze softens into a pure, loving look. His breathing speeds up. "I..love yo -"Doc starts before he is interrupted by Grian kissing him very gently, almost like Grian is afraid. Doc kisses back eagerly, and his heart feels full. Grian pulls back to smile at Doc. Doc smiles back and caresses Grian's cheek lovingly. Doc pulls Grian closer, and Grian happily leans into Doc's hand. They kiss softly for a couple of minutes. Grian sighs in content.
They pull apart and look at each other again. Grian leans in again and kisses Doc passionately, their lips meeting in slow motion. Doc hums contentedly at the kiss, smiling when he feels Grian grin into the kiss. Grian moves back slightly, but he still holds Doc's face gently. Doc hums happily at the touch. Grian smiles into the kiss, his heart fluttering softly as Doc pulls him closer again. Doc kisses Grian deeply again. Grian lets out a soft hum before pulling away and resting his forehead against Doc's. He closes his eyes in content. "I love you, Doc..." he whispers softly. Doc chuckles.
"And I love you, Grian." Doc tells Grian lovingly.
Doc pulls Grian closer and lays down with Grian in his arms.
"Get some rest, too." Doc whispers. Grian chuckles and buries his head in Doc's chest.
"Mhm." Grian replies. Grian yawns before drifting off into sleep. Doc smiles fondly and presses a kiss on Grian's hair. Doc smiles and falls asleep while holding Grian close.
When they wake up, Grian feels horrible. Doc got Grian sick, and he apologized a lot.
Grian is just giggling at his apologies.
"Oh shut up~" Grian giggles and kisses Doc. "It's okay, Doc~. I don't blame you for my sickness."
Doc smiles fondly and pulls Grian onto his lap and hugs him tightly as he runs his fingers through Grian's hair. "You're so precious, Grian. I don't think I deserve someone as beautiful and smart like you, Grian." He says as he tucks his head into Grian's neck.
Grian blushes lightly.
Doc smiles softly before saying, "I'm lucky to be with you~" Doc says as he kisses Grian's neck softly.
Grian chuckles softly and wraps an arm around Doc's waist. Doc kisses Grian's neck gently again as he nuzzles his nose against Grian's neck, letting out a quiet purr.
Grian can't help but blush at Doc's actions. God, he's so adorable. "I love you, Doc." Grian says, and he feels his heart swell in happiness.
Doc smiles, "I love you too, Grian."
"Borrrrinnnggg," a little kid says.
"Hey! That's no way to talk about your parents' love story, Greg." Grian sticks his tongue out at his son playfully.
Doc walks over, carrying plates of food and scoffs. "Stop scolding him, love." Doc smiles as he places the plates on the dining table.
Grian sighs and slips right into Doc's arms. He kisses Doc's cheek and smiles.
Doc gives Grian a grin and a peck on his lips.
"Eww! I'll lose my appetite if you keep doing that-" Greg complains.
"Sorry, bud." Doc chuckles as he lets Grian go, sitting down at the table.
"So Dad, you said you'd tell me a better story than Papa did! It won't be hard, " Greg squints at Grian. Grian gasps as he sits down* "I'm hurt, how could you, my stories are always the best," Grian says playfully.
Doc sighs. "Yes. I'll tell a better one."
"Doc, my love~" Grian says as he runs and jumps into Doc's arms. Doc laughs and hugs Grian tightly. They have been together for 4 years, it's their anniversary today, and Doc has something special planned.
Doc kisses Grian sweetly and looks into his deep blue eyes. "Happy anniversary, G." Doc says sweetly as he plants a sweet kiss on Grian's lips.
Grian giggles and wraps his arms around Doc as he nuzzles his nose against Doc's. "Happy anniversary, love~" Grian replies. "I have a gift for you~" Grian shows Doc a bag. Doc sets Grian down and takes the bag. He opens it and gasps softly. it's a heart locket with a pendant of Doc's favorite gemstone. "How did you..." Doc whispers in awe and surprise.
Grian chuckles as he puts the necklace on Doc.
Doc gazes at Grian lovingly.
Grian leans in and kisses him tenderly. Doc pulls Grian closer and kisses back softly.
After a few minutes, they break apart and hold each other closely.
"Let's go for our date now, yeah? I want to show you something~" Doc smiles as he holds Grian's hand in his own, intertwining their fingers.
"Okay..." Grian replies as he gives Doc a small smile. Doc grins and pulls Grian to the forest.
When they reach the forest, Doc pulls Grian into a secluded area of it. The forest is peaceful and quiet. The moon reflects in the lake. The trees rustle gently as the breeze passes by them.
"What's wrong, Doc?" Grian asks, worried. Doc's nervousness is getting to him already.
"Nothing's wrong love, I just wanted us to be alone here tonight." Doc says calmly. He stares intently into Grian's eyes. "Because...I need to ask you something." Doc whispers.
"Hm?" Grian hums softly.
"...Will you marry me?" Doc mutters as he gets on one knee.
Grian's eyes widen, and he looks shocked. But soon, his cheeks flush as tears start to form in his eyes. Grian launches himself onto Doc as he sobs. Doc embraces Grian as he cries into his chest, burying his face into his shirt. Doc strokes Grian's head.
"Yes! Yes! Yes!" Grian cries. Grian pulls away and kisses Doc. He throws his arms around Doc's neck as Doc grips his waist.
Doc kisses back, his heart swelling with happiness. When they part, Grian grins widely.
"Yes~ yes! I said yes." Grian chuckles happily as he rests his forehead on Doc's. "Of course I'll marry you!" Grian exclaims cheerily.
Grian then pulls Doc in for another kiss. He pulls back slightly. "I guess this means I get to call you my fiancé now right~?" Grian teases and wiggles his eyebrows.
The smile on Doc's grin grows impossibly wider. "Of course you can~," He murmurs as he tilts Grian's chin up and brings him into another kiss.
"I love you, Doc~" Grian whispers against his lips.
"I love you too, G." Doc replies
"Aww," Grian grins after Doc finishes the story.
"Ewww!!!" Greg interjects. "I don't wanna hear your sappy love stories!" Greg sticks his tongue out.
Doc rolls his eyes fondly as Grian laughs, giving Greg a playful shove.
"Well, since you don't wanna hear our stories-" Grian starts cleaning up the plates. "You can go to your room," Grian finishes. Greg groans and walks out of the kitchen.
Doc smiles and stands up. He walks behind Grian, who is washing the dishes. He wraps his arms around Grian's waist from behind.
"I love you, honey~" Doc mumbles against Grian's ear. Grian lets out a soft giggle and smiles.
"I love you too, dear.." Grian whispers as he turns around, wrapping his arms around Doc, pressing a gentle kiss to Doc's lips.
Doc smirks and pushes Grian into the sink. He smirks mischievously before placing another chaste kiss to Grian's lips.
Grian blinks once before smiling brightly, causing Doc to giggle in response.
He grabs Doc's hand and pulls him into the living room. He turns on music and wraps his arms around Doc.
As the music plays, Doc slowly spins Grian, making him laugh softly. Grian laughs until Doc lifts him up into the air and starts spinning.
They laugh loudly as the music blasts. The sun starts setting outside, and Grian smiles at Doc.
They finally come to a stop and sit next to each other, smiling softly, holding hands. "We really do fit together perfectly~" Grian says softly.
Doc nods. "I love you."
