"Just because you're a villain doesn't mean you aren't my brother!" Xisuma frowns.
Ex glares back at Xisuma.
"I didn't think I was your brother after you banned me from your town, Mr. President." Ex crosses his arms.
Xisuma frowns. "I banned you because you blew up Doc's machine!" he exclaims. "You were just being irresponsible! What happened to you?!" Xisuma mutters.
Ex scoffs. "Your stupid friends happened to me! That stupid town! Those stupid people!!!" Ex yells.
"Ex! Some of those people care for you a lot!" Xisuma says, trying to calm him down. "We want you there!" X tries to grab Ex by the shoulders but is yanked back. Ex turns to walk off angrily.
"EX!" X calls and follows. "Why do you always run away?" X asks when Ex finally stops walking. Ex glares at Xisuma, his lips pressed together tightly in frustration. "You should tell me what's wrong, or else we can't help you," X says softly. X takes a step towards Ex.
Ex flinches away and backs away, causing Xisuma to stop. X's eyes widen.
"Ok.. I'll hah...I'll just go." X says as he turns.
Ex looks at X as he walks away. Ex sighs and runs his fingers through his hair before he starts walking in the opposite direction. He had no idea why X wanted to help him so bad.
When X returns, he sees Wels at his house.
"Wels? What are you doing here?" X asks.
"Well, I have someone I want you to meet! This is my brother Hels." Wels smiles and steps aside.
"Yo." Hels says.
"Oh, hello, there! Is he going to be staying with you, Wels?" X smiles.
"Yes, he is! I missed my little brother. " Wels grins and hugs Hels.
Hels scoffs. "Were twins -"
"I'm still older by two minutes!" Wels interjects.
"Same difference!" Hels responds.
X laughs. "Don't get into too much trouble, you two -" X smiles and walks off.
"I'm gonna be in so much trouble!" Hels panics as he tries to put out the fire he caused when trying to cook ramen.
"Hels!?" Wels runs in, he see's Hels.
"Shit!" Hels yells as his sleeve gets caught on fire.
Wels runs to Hels, grabs him, and drags him out of the house. He immediately puts out Hels' sleeve.
"Wels..Oh god I'm such an idiot." Hels says. "I ruined your house!" Hels points out.
"That doesn't matter! What matters is that you ok!" Wels says as he calls False, the chief of the fire department.
After half an hour, the fire is out, and half of Wels' house is ruined.
"I'm..jeez I just get here, and I ruin everything." Hels looks down.
"It's okay, it will take time to fix it, but I can manage!" Wels smiles and ruffles his hair.
"Thanks, Wels.."
"Hey, I'm here for you. Always." Wels smiles and hugs Hels tightly. "You are my brother, after all." Wels smiles.
"Thank you, Wels," Hels says quietly. "And thanks for saving me from my own stupidity." He adds, hugging Wels tight too.
"No problem! It's what brothers do for each other!" Wels smiles.
Hels snorts slightly. "Of course, brothers save each other from ramen fires." Hels giggles. Wels joins in, and they both laugh, forgetting about anything else for once.
It's been a few months since the fire, and Hels hasn't tried to cook since.
Hels is walking down a path on the outskirts of town when he hears a voice.
"I've never seen you around here before." The voice says.
Hels stops in his tracks and looks around. "Huh? Who are you?"
"Who am I?" The voice laughs. "I'm Ex!" The voice says as they jump down from a tree.
"Oh- That wannabe villian," Hels says.
"Wannabe!? I am a villain!" Ex scoffs.
"Oh, you're a villain all right- just not a super one." Hels states.
"Whats the difference?" Ex crosses his arms.
"Presentation!!!" Hels grins and throws a smoke bomb at Ex. Ex gasps and covers his face as the smoke clears. He looks around to see that Hels is gone.
"Crap." Ex says.
Hels is running faster than he ever has. He has to get back to town before Ex chases after him. He can hear footsteps behind him, though, and he makes a sharp turn around a corner, and he bumps straight into Ex's chest.
Hels falls onto the ground in front of Ex and groans in pain.
Ex grins and kneels down. "Thought you could run, hm? That's hilari-" Ex gets cut off by getting punched in the face.
"Ack!" Ex groans as Hels gets up and sprints to town.
Hels makes it back. He breathes heavily as he enters Wels' house. He falls straight onto the couch.
"You good?" Wels smiles.
"Yup! Just dandy, " Hels answers sarcastically. He sits up suddenly.
"I bumped into someone - his name was Ex-" Hels says.
"What?! Oh no...Hels whatever you do. Stay away from Ex." Wels warns.
"Why?" Hels raises an eyebrow.
"He's evil- and a villain." Wels says.
"Not a very good one-" Hels grins.
"Shut up and listen to me! I know his past. And I hate him. He will hurt you, remember that." Wels says sternly.
"Ok, fine." Hels says with a nod.
Wels relaxes slightly. "Now go get some sleep."
"Yeah, ok." Hels nods. "Night Wels." Hels says as he goes to his room. He closes his bedroom door and plops down onto his bed.
A few weeks have gone by, and Hels is back on the path on the outskirts of town.
"Look who came back." Ex says with a smirk as he leans against a tree.
"I was curious about you." Hels admits.
Ex raises an eyebrow, surprised by this response. "Oh? Did you find something interesting about me?"
"I found out some people in town dislike you." Hels explains and shrugs. "They call you crazy."
Ex shakes his head. "Of course they do." Ex sighs.
"I have heard good things about you too, ya know," Hels says. "I heard that Keralis misses you."
"Keralis?" Ex repeats, looking confused.
"He moved back here last year, I think. I heard you two were close friends, " Hels says. "What did you do to make people dislike you?"
"Destroyed a stupid machine. It was useless anyway." Ex scoffs.
"Ya know - what I heard wa-" Hels gets cut off by Ex, slamming him against a tree.
"I don't care what you've heard!!!" Ex yells and pushes a knife against Hels' neck.
Hels blinks a few times, then grins.
"Are we gonna kiss?" Hels smirks smugly.
Ex's eyes widen, and Hels can tell that his cheeks go pink.
"Shut up! I literally have a knife to your throat!" Ex scoffs.
"That's kinda hot-" Hels whispers and winks.
Ex blushes. "Stop teasing me! I'm serious!" Ex says and pushes himself closer to Hels and pushes the knife a bit deeper.
Hels' smile grows wider. He wraps his arms around Ex's neck.
Ex freezes at his touch and stares wide-eyed at him.
"Go ahead, slit my throat. The last thing I'll see is that gorgeous face." Hels grins.
Hels watches as Ex pulls the knife away from his neck. He takes a deep breath and lets it out slowly.
"Scram!" Ex growls and pushes Hels.
Hels giggles and walks home.
This goes on for about a year, Ex and Hels meet on the trail and talk. They are more friendly with each other now.
Hels has Ex pinned against a tree with a grin on his face.
Ex glares at him. "What are you doing?" Ex raises an eyebrow.
"Looking at you." Hels giggles.
Ex blushes. "You stupid flirt." Ex mutters.
"I just want to kiss you Ex~" Hels giggles.
Ex goes quiet for a moment. "Do it then." Ex whispers and flips them, so he's pushing Hels into the tree.
Hels' grin widens as he leans up towards Ex's lips. Before they kiss, they get interrupted by an arrow being shot into the tree. Ex jumps slightly and looks behind him
"Leave my brother alone, Ex!" Wels yells angrily. X stands next to Wels.
"Well, well, well, look at what we have here.." Ex smirks. "A protective brother and a stupid one. Ex looks at Hels.
Hels looks embarrassed but not ashamed.
"Back away from him or I swear!" Wels shouts.
"Relax Wels, I have nothing bad going on with him. I'm very interested in Helsy right here~" Ex grins and rubs his thumb up, Hels'
"Get away from him, you sicko!" Wels exclaims as he grips his bow tightly.
"Is that any way to treat a friend? You're making it hard to keep my hands to myself." Ex smirks and grips Hels' waist.
"Ex, I swear." Wels growls.
"You swear what? That if I do anything to him, you'll kill me?" Ex laughs. "Hels, tell them what you wanted me to do before we got interrupted."
Hels blushes and grips Ex's shoulders. He pulls Ex close and kisses him. Ex stiffens slightly in shock, but quickly responds and kisses back passionately. X and Wels both blink at this, but don't say anything. Ex and Hels break apart slowly.
"Wow" Ex pants. "You didn't disappoint, Hels." He grins.
"Hels, what the hell!? I told you how dangerous Ex was, and you fell in love with him?!" Wels yells.
"Sorry, bro. Ex is just too irresistible~" Hels giggles.
X shakes his head and pinches the bridge of his nose.
"Just let them be, Wels. He isn't hurting anyone." X says.
"Fine. We were talking about this right when you get home, Hels." Wels states and walks back to town.
X smiles at Hels and Ex. "Congrats on the boyfriend, Ex." X grins and walks off to town.

Suddenly, Ex grabs Hels by his shirt collar and slams him up against a tree once again, he presses his lips against Hels's. Hels closes his eyes and returns the kiss. It quickly turns passionate, Ex groans quietly into Hels's mouth. His arms wrap around Hels's waist while Hels wraps his arms around Ex's neck and pulls him closer. Ex digs his nails into Hels' waist gently.
Their kiss is filled with passion and desire for each other. Ex's hands slide up and under Hels' shirt. Hels shivers as he feels goosebumps form on his skin. After a while, they pull away for air. Ex lays his forehead against Hels's, smiling and panting. Ex looks into Hels's eyes. They both stare into each other's eyes lovingly for a moment.
"Hels..." Ex trails off as he cups Hels's cheek, pulling him close for another kiss.
Hels gasps as his lips are roughly pressed against Ex's, his fingers tangling themselves in Ex's hair. As they both pull back for air, Ex softly starts kissing Hels' neck. Hels gasps at Ex's actions. He bites his lip. Hels runs his hands through Ex's hair as Ex gently nips and sucks at his exposed neck. Hels blushes as Ex stops. Ex rubs his finger over the mark he left and giggles.
*It's over*
"You're pretty." Ex says as he leans his head on Hels's shoulder.
"Thank you." Hels replies happily.
Ex picks up Hels and smiles.
"You're coming home with me." Ex declares and carries Hels to his house.
"You're so cute and gentle, Ex." Hels giggles.
"Hmm. I am glad you think so." Ex smirks.
Hels blushes brightly as Ex places him down on the couch. Ex plops on the couch, next to Hels.
Hels snuggles into Ex's side. Ex hugs Hels and pulls him into his lap. Hels curls into Ex's side and purrs as he rests his head against Ex's chest.
"Helsy~ You're so cute~"
Ex coos.
"Thanks, Ex." Hels giggles happily.
"We will take it slow and enjoy our time together." Ex decides as he brushes his hand along Hels' face.
Hels nods slowly, yawning.
Ex chuckles and kisses Hels' head. "Night, my cute little angel."
Hels nods sleepily and nuzzles Ex gently, closing his eyes. Hels falls asleep soon after.
Ex smiles softly and closes his eyes, and soon falls asleep, too.
Hels walks into Wels' house, ready to get yelled at. But, he didn't expect what actually happened.
"Hels!" Wels says as he runs and hugs Hels tightly. "Where were you?!"
"I stayed...at Ex's house.." Hels answers as he hugs Wels back.
Wels sighs. "I guess you must really like him." He comments.
"Of course I like him."
"But Ex is dangerous." Wels says worriedly.
"No, he's not. He's nice." Hels argues.
"Hels, please listen to me. Please be careful." Wels frowns.
Hels nods slowly. "I will, I promise. Ex wouldn't hurt me."
Wels sighs softly and nods. "As long as you're sure." Wels smiles.
Hels smiles back tiredly. "I love you, big brother Wels." Hels giggles mischievous.
"Love you too, little devil." Wels smiles and hugs him tighter.
Hels smiles and walks off into his room.
"If Hels loves him...I can't stop that. I'm happy for him, no matter what." Wels whispers to himself.
*Years later*
Wels grips Ex's tie and fixes it. "You should be glad I'm letting you propose to my brother." Wels
mumbles.
Ex chuckles nervously and fidgets slightly in his spot.
"Why won't you stop moving?" Wels asks, annoyed as he continues fixing Ex's tie.
"Sorry." Ex apologizes and stops fidgeting.
Wels finishes fixing Ex's tie and looks him up and down.
"Do you think he will say yes?" Ex mutters.
Wels rolls his eyes and smacks Ex upside the head.
"Stop being such a fool. Of course he will! I know he loves you!" Wels scolds Ex who is rubbing his head.
Ex sighs and smiles. "Thanks, Wels." He says softly.
"I know you like him more than you admit. Just make him happy, that's all." Wels gives him another smack before walking away.
"Ok, you can do this, Ex." Ex says to himself as he runs a hand through his hair. He walks to Hels' house and knocks.
Hels opens the door, and Ex's jaw drops.
Hels is wearing a deep red suit over a white turtleneck with puffy sleeves and nics black boots. He's also wearing light makeup and has small black studs. He looks amazing.
Hels looks at him and smiles.
"You look absolutely stunning." Ex whispers.
"Thank you, Ex." Hels mumbles shyly.
"Ready for our date?" Ex smiles and holds his hand out.
"Of course." Hels takes Ex's hand and intertwines their fingers.
They walk outside and towards a park.
"I can't believe you told me to get all dressed up to go to a park." Hels laughs.
Ex giggles. "I needed an excuse to see you in a fancy, sophisticated outfit." Ex wiggles his eyebrows.
"Oh, come on now." Hels laughs, blush forming across his cheeks.
Ex holds onto Hels' hand a bit tighter and pulls him towards a bench near a lake.
Hels sits down on the bench and looks out over the lake.
"Isn't it beautiful?" Ex asks and sits next to Hels.
Hels hums softly in response, staring out over the lake.
They sit there quietly for a few minutes.
"My mom used to take X and I here when we were kids." Ex says quietly, staring at the lake.
"She would bring us here and play with us in the water." Ex smiles sadly.
Hels reaches over and grabs Ex's hand and squeezes it.
"And she would tell us stories when we camped out here." Ex continues.
Hels nods lightly.
"She would even sing with us sometimes." Ex adds, looking at the lake fondly.
"I miss her so much." Ex murmurs.
Hels turns and stares at Ex curiously. He then gets an idea and pulls Ex closer.
"What are you doing?" Ex chuckles and stares at Hels confused.
"Nothing..." Hels mumbles innocently.
Hels leans in and kisses Ex's cheek gently.
"You know I love you, right?" Hels says with an adorable smile.
"I know..." Ex answers back softly, smiling fondly at Hels.
"Good because I don't ever want to lose you." Hels whispers.
"Never." Ex whispers, kissing Hels' cheek. "You know..." Ex stands up. "My parents got engaged here."
Hels looks at him questioningly. "Really?"
"Yeah..and it went something like this." Ex whispers as he gets down on one knee.
Hels' eyes widen. "Ex what ar-"
"Shh..Helsy. Would you do the honor of marrying me?" Ex giggles and opens the ring box.
Hels stares wide-eyed as the ring, and he starts to tear up. The ring is a simple rose gold band with three diamonds embedded on it.
"Please answer my question, Love." Ex pleads and looks at him.
Hels doesn't answer he just grabs Ex by his tie, pulls him upwards, and kisses him.
He pulls back and lets out a huge sob before pressing his lips against Ex's once more. He wraps his arms around Ex's neck, holding onto him as tight as possible. Ex wraps his arms around Hels's waist and pulls him closer. It goes on until Ex's lips start to ache from how much he was smiling. They part, staring at one another as Ex wipes off the tears on Hels' face.
"Of course I'll marry you, stupid." Hels mutters as he hugs Ex.
"I love you so much." Ex whispers and presses another kiss to Hels forehead.
"Love you too, my idiot." Hels responds and chuckles.
Hels pulls back and smiles lovingly at Ex.
"So, you gonna put your damn ring on or..?" Ex questions sheepishly.
Hels laughs slightly.
"Yes." Hels says as he slides the ring onto his finger.
"I love you, Hels. More than you know." Ex says as he stands up. He grabs Hels and lifts him up bridal style.
"Wha-" Hels gasps slightly as he wraps his arms around Ex. Hels quickly realizes what Ex is planning as Ex carries him bridal style towards the lake.
"Put me down, idiot!" Hels laughs.
"Not till we get to the water." Ex grins as he walks into the lake.
"Do not ruin my clothes by putting me in this water. Ex-!" Hels warns.
Ex grins and drops Hels into the lake.
Hels stands up straight and glares at Ex. "I'm gonna kill you -" Hels splashes water at Ex.
Ex laughs and splashes Hels back.
Hels jumps on Ex playfully.
"Get off me, you idiot!" Ex laughs as he tries to push Hels off.
Hels laughs loudly as he starts kissing Ex's face all over.
Ex laughs happily and pulls Hels closer now.
"Gosh, I love you." Ex whispers with a happy grin. Hels smiles and throws his arms over Ex's shoulders and kisses him.
Ex kisses back and gently plays with Hels' hair. He pulls away and smiles softly at Hels.
"You're so handsome.." Ex admits as he leans forward again and kisses him softly.
"You're stupid, handsome." Hels replies. "And I love you too," He says and hugs Ex.
They get out of the lake 30 minutes later and lay on the grass.
Hels lays his head on Ex's chest and smiles contentedly.
"This is nice." Hels mumbles softly and curls closer to Ex.
"Mhm." Ex agrees as he rubs his thumb along Hels's arm soothingly.
Hels snuggles closer to Ex.
"I love you, Helsy~" Ex coos sweetly.
"Hmm...love you too.." Hels replies quietly.
Ex runs his fingers through Hels' hair and kisses him.
They stare into each others eyes as they continue to kiss tenderly.
"Can I show you something?" Ex whispers in Hels's ear.
"Huh? Show me what?" Hels asks, curious to what Ex could have possibly meant.
"Come on." Ex smirks as he stands up.
Ex leads Hels into the forest and to a clearing. Surrounding it, there are many flowers.
"Dance with me, darling~" Ex grins and pulls Hels against him.
Hels giggles and wraps his arms around Ex. They gently sway back and forth, smiling at each other.
"It's so pretty." Hels murmurs as he looks down and admires the flowers.
"You're so pretty." Ex corrects.
Hels blushes and glances up at Ex, their faces only inches apart.
Suddenly, Hels closes his eyes and brings his mouth close to Ex's.
The two exchange a passionate kiss as Ex wraps his arms tightly around Hels' waist. Hels feels like time slows down as their lips move together slowly, trying to convey every feeling they have for each other.
The couple pulls apart and looks at each other lovingly.
"Want to know something?" Ex asks softly as he puts a strand of hair behind Hels's ears.
Hels tilts his head.
"I think that I fell in love with you the first day I laid eyes on you...." Ex confesses. "Your stupidly witty responses..and your sweet voice.." Ex blushes.
"Your laugh..its contagious." Ex whispers. "I never thought I could fall in love again, but I did." He adds.
Hels stares at him.
"You make me feel special and safe..you've become my everything, and nothing can change that. I love you." Ex finishes.
Hels wraps his arms around Ex and kisses him. Ex cups Hels' cheeks and pulls him closer.
"I love you too, idiot." Hels says softly against Ex's lips.
Ex pulls away and looks down, resting his forehead against Hels'.
The two stand there for a while and enjoy each other's presence.
"Ay!!! You two!!! Stop being cheesy!!!" Wels yells from across the park.
Hels chuckles and rolls his eyes.
The couple chuckle softly and turn around.
Wels is standing with X, who is clapping.
"Well done, you two!!" X cheers happily. "I'm so proud of little Exy!" X coos.
Ex turns red. "Xisuma!!!" Ex yells embarrassed.
"Let's just go home, Ex." Hels says with a small laugh.
Ex nods and picks up Hels.
Hels squeaks and wraps his arms around Ex as Ex runs home, Hels starts laughing as X and Wels chase them.
This has made my soul ache- because I chose the option to die alone 😔
