It's been four months since Grian had cheated on Scar. He hasn't seen Grian since, but he doesn't mind. Bdubs is currently rubbing comforting circles on Scar's back.
It's hard...so hard for Scar. He can't believe what Grian's done. He hates how selfish Grian had been. He can't forgive him. Bdubs places a soft comforting kiss onto Scar's shoulder. Scar can feel his face heat up. Bdubs has been here for Scar everytime Scar has had a breakdown. Bdubs makes Scar feel so warm inside with all his soft spoken praises or gentle touches. And Scar loves him.
Scar looks over at Bdubs. "Thank you for being such a good friend." He whispers.
Bdubs smiles fondly. "Of course Scar..anything for you."
"Can we order food...so we can eat together? I miss having someone to talk to." Scar asks.
"Of course! Anything to make you happy, Scar." Bdubs replies happily, giving Scar another hug.
Scar feels safe and content in Bdubs' arms. He loves how close they are. It makes Scar feel loved. Scar has never felt safer anywhere else than right in Bdubs' arms. He sighs contently as Bdubs continues running calming circles on his back.
A few hours later they order a large pizza and some fries. They are sitting on the couch watching Christmas movies while eating.
After watching two episodes of the new holiday season Bdubs leans against Scar's side. Scar wraps his arm around Bdubs and holds him close. It makes Scar's heart skip a beat as Bdubs giggles at the movie. Scar laughs along, enjoying listening to Bdubs laugh, and nuzzling into his hair.
After watching the rest of the movie Scar puts the tv on mute and closes the program before turning to Bdubs. "It's quite late Bdubs, you should stay for the night." Scar suggets.
"Are you sure?" Bdubs questions worriedly.
"Of course." Scar responds with a small smile. "I will put the leftovers away and get you come comfortable clothes to sleep in. Ok?" Scar asks.
"Ok Scar." Bdubs replies, a small smile spreading across his face.
Scar stands up and walks to the kitchen and puts the leftover food away.
After that, Scar goes into his room and picks out some sweatpants and tshirt for Bdubs. He then walks back to Bdubs and hands him the clothes. "They might be a bit big-" Scar chuckles. "but they'll fit you well enough." He adds.
"That sounds wonderful Scar....thank you for letting me stay." Bdubs says in awe before standing on his tip toes to give Scar a kiss on the cheek.
Scar's cheeks redden as he glances away. "Its not a problem Bdubs." Scar whispers softly.
Bdubs smiles and goes to the bathroom to change into the clothes Scar gave him. A moment later he comes out of the bathroom, the clothes are huge on him. Scar's face burns brighter red as he realises how cute he is.
"Thanks Scar, these are really comfy!" Bdubs comments. Scar notices how he keeps shifting his weight from one foot to another. Bdubs flops down on the couch and yawns.
"Good Night Scar." Bdubs yawns again. Scar looks at him for a second before smiling.
"Goodnight, Bdubs." He says in response and walks to his room.
In the middle of the night Scar wakes up to a warm pressure on his side. Opening his eyes, he sees a very sleepy looking Bdubs cuddled into his side.
"Bdubs?" Scar mumbles sleepily. He can hear Bdubs' soft snoring.
Shifting closer to Bdubs, Scar wraps his arm around Bdubs and holds him. Soon after he falls asleep again.
Bdubs wakes up and his whole face goes red immediately. He must have gotten up in the middle of the night and layed with Scar. It feels so weird having Scar's body pressed against his. He feels like he is on fire. It's almost too much, Scar is so warm. Bdubs knows he shouldn't feel like this, Scar just ended a long term relationship only a few months ago. But he can't stop thinking about how good it feels to be in Scar’s arms. Every inch of Bdubs wants to hold him like this forever. He lays his head on Scar's chest and smiles softly. "What am I doing?" He thinks to himself. "Am I falling for Scar?"
A few hours later Scar wakes up. Looking down at Bdubs, his lips slowly turn upwards. Bdubs locks eyes with Scar and smiles back at him. "Good morning Scar.." Bdubs says gently.
"Morning sunshine.." Scar replies.
Bdubs' face goes red as he hides his face in Scar's chest. His cheeks still burning hot, he takes deep breaths to try and keep his blush under control.
Scar gives him an amused expression. "Why are you blushing?" He teases.
"Haha, uhm...its nothing." Bdubs stutters quietly.
Scar raises his eyebrows, "are you sure? Do you not like my nickname for you?" Scar pouts playfully.
"N-No! I like t-the nickname...just wasn't expecting it" Bdubs blushes more.
"Ohhh...ok" Scar says teasingly. "You're adorable when your embarrassed~" He whispers sweetly in Bdubs' ear.
Bdubs turns beet red even darker and covers his face with his hands to hide his embarrassment. This only makes Scar laugh loudly at him. "Ahahaha!!"
"Sshh, Scar...stop..." Bdubs mumbles. He peeks his head through his fingers to see Scar grinning widely.
This only makes Scar chuckle more and hold Bdubs closer. "How about we go get hot cocoa today?" Scar suggets while giving Bdubs puppy eyes.
Bdubs looks up at him. His cheeks pink once more. "Umm..." Bdubs mutters shyly. "Ok. But first we should get showers." Bdubs chuckles.
"Ok. You can take a shower first." Scar smiles. Bdubs nods and heads towards the bathroom.
Scar lets out a soft breath as Bdubs leaves. He loves Bdubs so much, but he could never tell him. He couldn't risk ruining their friendship. No matter how badly he wanted to be with him. It was better this way anyways. Bdubs deserved someone who was better suited for him than Scar. Someone who wasn't a complete idiot, and Scar didn't want heartbreak again.
Soon enough Bdubs peaks his head out of the bathroom door. "Scar! Can you toss me some clothes, I forgot I didn't have any-" Bdubs laughs. Scar smiles and grabs a shirt and pants for Bdubs then tosses them to Bdubs.
Bdubs quickly changes into Scar's clothes and comes out of the bathroom wearing Scar's clothing. Scar blushes at Bdubs' small frame being engulfed by the clothes. The sight alone makes Scar melt. It's honestly really adorable seeing Bdubs wear his clothes. Bdubs notices Scar staring at him and blushes.
"Y-Your turn to take a shower." Bdubs blushes.
Scar nods in agreement as he grabs his clothes and a towel and walks into the bathroom. As he does, Bdubs flops on the bed and hides his crimson red face in a pillow. What is happening to him...? He can't stop thinking about how beautiful Scar is when he's blushing and smiling. How he loves every single feature Scar has to offer. How he would give anything to be able to kiss Scar, touch him, and spend time with him. He loves his smile, his voice, his laugh, and everything he does. Bdubs is absolutely infatuated with Scar.
After taking a quick shower, Scar walks into the bedroom. Bdubs chuckles. "Scar your hair is soaked! Did you not dry you hair?" Bdubs laughs.
"Sorry!" Scar smiles sheepishly.
"Here let me dry it for you." Bdubs offers.
"Alright." Scar agrees and lets Bdubs fix his hair for him. Afterward Scar sits on the bed and lets Bdubs brush out his damp hair. He carefully starts drying the waves and massages Scar's scalp lightly. Scar sighs contently as Bdubs runs his fingers through his hair lovingly.
"You know, I love brushing your hair." Bdubs admits.
"Really? Why don't you ever do it?" Scar questions as he closes his eyes.
"Well....well... I think I'm just embarrassed...about it" Bdubs blushes. "It's just so fluffy and soft.." Bdubs finishes.
"I wouldn't mind if you did.." Scar replies.
"Ok.." Bdubs responds shyly as he continues his task of brushing Scar's hair.
Scar's eyelids grow heavy and as his eyes fall closed, all he can think about is kissing Bdubs, hugging him, holding him tight. Bdubs is perfect for him. And now the thought of telling him about how he feels makes him want to cry. Tears fill his eyes and he fights to hold back his tears.
"Scar..?" Bdubs calls quietly. Scar looks back at Bdubs.
"Hmm..?" He hums in reply.
Bdubs looks at him with concern in his eyes. "You're crying." Bdubs whispers.
"I-I am?" Scar finally notices he is crying.
"Yeah.." Bdubs pulls him close and lets him sob on his shoulder.
They sat there for what felt like ages until Scar calmed down. Bdubs rubs circles on Scar's back gently. "Do you wanna talk about it?" Bdubs asks.
Scar pulls away and wipes off his tears. "I don't think...It would be a good idea.." Scar murmurs. "But thank you." He smiles softly and kisses Bdubs on the cheek.
"What for?" Bdubs asks.
"For being here for me..." Scar whispers. Bdubs smiles at him and places a hand on Scar's cheek.
"I'll always be here to help you no matter what. I promise." Bdubs whispers.
"Let's go get that hot chocolate." Scar smiles sweetly. Bdubs smiles back, but he is still worried, why was Scar crying?
They end up holding hands while walking to the cafe. Scar squeezes Bdubs' hand tightly and Bdubs feels happy.
Once they get to the cafe, Scar leads Bdubs to one of the empty tables and asks the waiter to bring them two hot chocolates. They order some pastries and start talking and laughing together.
"Thank you Bdubs...for being there for me during my b-" Scar freezes mid sentence. "G-Grian..." Scar tears up. Bdubs turns quickly and sees Grian and Mumbo together. Grian spots Scar and Bdubs and stares at them, Mumbo notices and looks too.
Bdubs turns his head to Scar.
"Scar..hey it's g-" Bdubs gets cut off by Scar’s lips on his. He melts instantly against Scar, wrapping his arms around him. Once Scar releases the kiss, he rests his forehead against Bdubs'. "I love you." He whispers between breaths.
Bdubs smiles brightly and kisses him right back.
As soon as Grian and Mumbo see that Grian steps back and stares more intensely. Mumbo pulls Grian out of the cafe awkwardly.
Scar continues to hold Bdubs close until he knows Grian and Mumbo are gone. He looks at Bdubs guiltily. "I'm sorry...I couldn't resist..." Scar apologizes quietly.
Bdubs smiles and cups Scar's face. "Don't worry..~ I love you too" Bdubs grins.
Scar grins back at him happily. He leans forward and captures Bdubs lips again. Their lips move in sync with each other. When they pull away from each other, they both stay close to each other resting their foreheads against each other.
"What does this make us..?" Scar asks softly.
Bdubs giggles. "Were boyfriends~" Bdubs smirks.
Scar chuckles. "I guess so~" Scar whispers happily and kisses Bdubs' head. Bdubs hugs Scar tightly. He smiles as he buries his head into Scar's neck. Scar smiles lovingly and wraps his arms around Bdubs, nuzzling his nose against his hair. Bdubs can hear Scar mumble something quietly. He doesn't catch it.
"What did you say?" Bdubs asks softly.
"I said...you're the most beautiful thing I've ever seen." Scar whispers and nuzzles his nose against Bdubs' hair again.
Bdubs giggles and pulls away slightly so he can look at him. "And I feel the same. You are beautiful Scar. Like the sun and moon combined and everything in between." He smiles softly. "But only one thing makes it better." He adds. Bdubs takes Scar's left hand and holds it in his own. He slowly intertwines their fingers. "Want to know what it is?" Bdubs smiles sweetly at Scar.
Scar nods and Bdubs smiles wider. He brings Scar's hand to his mouth and kisses each knuckle. "My heart." He says simply. Then he lifts Scar's right hand and kisses the underside of his index finger. "Mine." He kisses the inside of Scar's wrist and his hand. "All mine." He kisses all the way up Scar's forearm, leaving a trail of tiny kisses along the way. Finally, he stops and leans back looking deep into Scar's eyes. "Yours forever."
Scar blushes and can't seem to find words. Luckily, Bdubs speaks first. "I mean it Scar. My soul, heart, body, soul, heart, body...they all belong to you. Everything that I have is yours and I hope you never doubt that again because I know you could never doubt me."
Scar stares into Bdubs' eyes and can feel his tears returning. His eyes begin to water again. The tears begin falling freely. He lets out a small sob before pulling Bdubs in closer, and burying his face in Bdubs' chest, sobbing loudly.
"Shhhh....shhhh....it's ok Scar..." Bdubs comforts him. "I got you."
After a few minutes, Scar calms down. He wipes his tear stained face and sniffles loudly.
"Are you alright Scar?" Bdubs asks concerned.
Scar nods and grabs Bdubs' shirt and pulls him closer, kissing him.
Bdubs kisses back eagerly and smiles happily against Scar's lips.
"I love you." Scar whispers against Bdubs' lips.
"I love you too." Bdubs smiles.
"I can't believe you're mine..." Scar mutters as he rests his forehead against Bdubs'.
"Oh I definitely can believe it! I've been dreaming about it for years Scar! I love you even before you and Grian ever got together." Bdubs says softly.
"What? You should have told me.." Scar mumbles as he cups Bdubs' face. Bdubs sighs.
"I was scared, at that time we only met 3 years prior. I thought it was too soon.." Bdubs mumbles.
Scar pulls him closer once again, this time kissing him deeply. After several minutes pass and Bdubs is feeling dizzy from the amount of kisses Scar has given him. Scar finally breaks apart. “I love you. So much" He whispers breathlessly.
"I love you too, Scar...more than anything else in the world." Bdubs replies as they both look deep into each others eyes.
"So, how about we head back to your place, huh?" Bdubs asks.
Scar smiles. “Sounds perfect...” He agrees.
Bdubs pulls Scar to his feet, taking his right hand and linking their fingers together.
They walk outside the cafe with their drinks and pastries. As they walk out of the building, Bdubs looks over at Scar. They lock eyes and smile widely at each other.
They walk in comfortable silence to Scar's apartment. The walk is quiet and peaceful. Bdubs looks over and smiles, he then squeezes Scar's hand, smiling wider, and leans forward and plants a soft kiss on Scar’s cheek.
Scar smiles and looks over at Bdubs to reciprocate the gesture. He leans down and pecks Bdubs lightly on the cheek. Bdubs turns red and starts giggling uncontrollably.
He looks over at Scar with a big goofy grin. "I love you" He says with a smile.
Scar just chuckles softly and returns the smile. "I love you too". He says softly.
Bdubs hums happily and keeps walking, swinging their joined hands between them and grinning. They stop when they reach Scar's apartment door.
Scar puts his arm behind Bdubs back and pulls him close. "I lo-" Scar gets cut off by Bdubs' phone ringing.
"Give me a minute" Bdubs sighs as he walks off to answer his phone. Scar watches confused. He waits patiently though before he hears an adorable gasp come from Bdubs' direction. He smiles to himself and decides to wait outside, leaning against the wall next to his door. He closes his eyes and listens to Bdubs' conversation, he really doesn't want to interrupt. He hears soft giggles and sees Bdubs run up to him. "Scar! Scar!!!" Bdubs should excitedly. "I got the interior designer job I applied for!!" Bdubs shouts.
Scar laughs softly and opens his eyes. He smiles fondly at Bdubs and gives him a hug. "That's awesome Bdubs! I'm so proud of you!" Scar exclaims, grinning widely, happy for his lover. Bdubs smiles goofily at Scar. "Thank you Scar." Bdubs says cutely. He leans in and places another kiss on Scar's lips.
Scar pulls him close again and presses his forehead against Bdubs', "Forever, remember?" He says, whispering against Bdubs lips. Bdubs nods and they share another passionate kiss.
After a while, they reluctantly break apart and look at each other smiling. Bdubs glances down shyly at Scar's hands still wrapped around his waist and Scar raises an eyebrow playfully. Bdubs flushes bright pink but hides his face with his free hand.
"Lets get inside now~" Scar giggles teasingly as he pulls Bdubs inside.
