Adrian.
When Adrian had gotten home, he didn't want to dwell on the fact that he had discovered more than he should've, it was intriguing as it was dangerous, but he needed to learn more in order to evade and keep his siblings safe, and that's what he set out to do.
Learning of the mystical history of the place he called home was number one on his list but he decided to push it back and start scavenging for more protection spells which were stronger than the ones he was using, he needed to do it in order to keep those lurking in the shadows with evil away for his family, he had also taken in the words of Dr. Charlton, out there, mystics who had power would come for him and his family, therefore that was his motivation in doing what he was doing.
"Okay, bloodroot, mountain ash, oak wood, toadstool, red fern, raven claws, python venom, mistletoe, sun blessing." Adrian mumbled to himself but unknowingly he was relaying everything he was saying to Jonathan through the psychic link. "What in the netherworld are you doing in here." He asked through their link as he stood by the door, it was late afternoon and the twins were asleep which meant he was free to roam about, it stunned Adrian he was at home and in his range.
"What are you doing home?" Adrian questioned as he crushed the herbs in a bowl, he knew by Johnny's presence alone that he was fascinated by what he was doing. "I decided not to go out, you seemed worried when you left and thought it was best just to hang at home, plus I had another growth spurt and I'm not feeling too great." The boy replied and Adrian immediately turned around his mouth hung low. "You really had another growth spurt, when did it happen, and also how is the pain, last time it was nasty." Adrian spoke leaving his herbs and examining his brother.
"It doesn't hurt as much but it does, and I'm now 6'4." Johnny proudly stated but Adrian facepalmed. "Johnny this isn't something to be smug about, you just got two feet taller than yesterday, it's going to be noticeable, and it's not exactly normal to just randomly grow taller." Adrian mumbled as he began moving his hands on Jonathan's body, his palms released golden energy that pulsed into Johnny, the taller boy had a relieved smile when Adrian was finished. "Thank you." He sighed in between hugging his now even smaller brother.
"Are you going to make me feel even more inferior in height now." Adrian grumbled hating how his five foot seven body seemed to be crushed in the embrace of his brother. "Not at all shorty." Johnny teased and his brother glared at him. "I hate you." The shorter brother uttered which earned a laugh from Johnny. "I love you too big brother, oh by the way can you make muffins not just for the twins and us but two more people." The teen requested earning a confused stare from Adrian, he didn't want to speculate who was coming and immediately start blushing so he brushed it off but he knew.
"Fine I will make more." Adrian replied trying hard not to blush. "Aww look at you, all cute and uncomfortable." Johnny teased even more and Adrian groaned. "Johnny I will give you an aneurysm." He warned his little brother but it was no use and he could never be mad at Johnny, he always had the cutest puppy eyes that rivaled even the twins at the times and it always made him cave.
Adrian then remembered his spell in progress and also about Johnny's condition, it was getting worse, though there was a block in his primal nature he knew something was inside Johnny and his growth spurts weren't normal, his body was adjusting to something, he needed to do research and remove the block before it became problematic. Two of my kind. His mind immediately gave him the answer but could it be that his brother was one of them, it all didn't make sense, was their father a were, was their mother a witch or psychic like him, she never practiced the one who did was his grandma, did they have different fathers or was their father a were, maybe he was and Johnny had gotten this part of him fighting to be let free.
"Handsome brother to beautiful brother, hello you there." Johnny's voice boomed through the psychic link and when Adrian realized Johhny was still with him he smiled at his mischievous brother. "I know you didn't hear a thing, I was asking about what you were doing, the spell says it needs two witches to perform it, and dear brother there is only one you." Johnny explained with concern but Adrian was amused by his brother. "Johnny I am more than sufficient, it's not that big of a spell, I have perfect mana control." He reassured his brother but in his mind, he was hoping he was right because the spell would drain him.
He always appreciated Johnny's concern, even at times when it was a bit overwhelming and he was overbearing, Adrian knew that's who he was, he cared deeply for his family and also he ate like a wild wolf, that's why he had nicknamed him wolfy, for all his traits, he wondered how close he had been to the actual truth in that name. "Whose blood is that?" Johnny inquired pointing at two vials of blood, it made him uneasy the sight of blood, and Adrian knew it so he quickly took the blood and poured it in the bowl along with the herbs. "The twins and I need yours." Adrian smiled but it didn't make his brother feel any better he was still going to cut him.
Adrian took a knife near him and his brother flinched. "Hold still, or it will hurt more." Adrian warned but Johnny still squirmed, he cut across the boy's palm and guided his hand to the bowl, blood dripped into the bowl but as quickly as it came, it was gone, when the two boys looked at Johnny's wound they both gasped. "When did you start having rapid healing like that?" Adrian questioned as he examined Johnny's hand, there wasn't a trace of a wound, it furthered his suspicion on what Johnny was, he needed to do something. "No idea, I'm as surprised as you are." The boy replied and indeed he was telling the truth, he was surprised just like his brother, he didn't know what it was but he knew rapid healing wasn't normal as was having a whole psychic conversation with your brother.
"I need to finish this spell, but you do research first and then I can join you, start with the history of Greeneway bay, mystic founding and move on to the vampire order." Adrian instructed knowing his brother would be better at researching everything more so than he could, Johnny always had a keen eye for facts though he needed Adrian to shed light on explaining them more often than not. So as Johnny got to work Adrian dropped hair strands into the bowl mixed with blood and herbs, he added his own and the mixture sizzled. "I call upon the pillars of protection, beseech the power that flows within: Protego, esphos vartum entat ciespho mortem." Adrian cast his spell and each one of the individuals who had placed a part of themselves into the bowl felt a searing burning sensation but it subsided as it came.
The contents of the bowl had vanished leaving a totem in it's place, Adrian knew where to place it, so he immediately moved to the basement from the library, once he was there he removed the floorboards, dug into the concrete with his power until a large hole was there, carefully he wrapped the totem in a bubble and it moved further down into the ground as if gravity was pushing it, it bound the protection he had cast and as long as no one knew where it was the spell would stay intact. After he buried the totem Adrian moved the dirt and closed the hole perfectly, the ground became solid again and the floorboards were put in place.
He felt like a weight had been lifted from his shoulders when he had completed the spell, no one could harm his siblings not even in the slightest. "Adrian why are you burning me!" Johnny yelled in irritation but he rolled his eyes, the spell only burnt momentarily to any of those it was cast on, Johnny was just being a baby. "Stop whining, the twins felt that burn but they're still asleep." Adrian stated proudly and the boy scowled but he would get back at his brother and his plan was fast approaching.
"What did you find out?" Adrian asked his brother with a glint of expectation and Johnny chuckled. "Calm down, let me tell you everything." Johnny responded but the doorbell rang and he immediately stoop up to go get it, Adrian narrowed his eyes on his brother before he could say anything the presence of Jax filled his mind, the sneaky devil called Johnny had called him over. "Johnny I'm going to choke you!" Adrian screamed through the link as he walked out of the library again to see Jax with a sleeping Kent in his arms, his hair was tied in a man bun and it made him all the more attractive.
Adrian wistfully sighed looking at the perfection in front of him, that dashing smile. "Adrian you're drooling." Johnny exclaimed in his mind and immediately his cheeks flared and his composure was lost, Jax looking at Adrian couldn't help gawking at him, he was cute when he was flustered. "I'm not drooling." Adrian replied with a glare. "Yes, you were." His brother defended. "No I wasn't." The two went back and forth until Jax cleared his throat. "Are you two talking?" He asked and Adrian inwardly moaned to the sound, gosh he was borderline creepy now but unknowingly Jax was finding it hard not to kiss Adrian.
"Yes we were, it's a link between me and Johnny, I can place it if you want." Adrian explained and Jax seemed intrigued. "First I need to put this little guy down, then you can do your thing, I would like your voice in my head." Smoothly Jax replied and Jonathan was already inching to bursting with laughter at how ridiculous the two were being, it was obvious they were attracted to each other, a blind man could see it. "Okay, you can put them in the twin's room, Johnny can show you." Adrian offered knowing he needed to cool down before he embarrassed himself.
Jax winked at him and followed Johnny, the wink had him floating, literally, to the library, when Adrian got there he plopped down on the couch. "I need help." He mumbled with a sigh, deciding to start reading on the history of Greeneway Bay he took the book Johnny had. "Starting without me?" His younger brother teased as he now stood beside Jax. "Not at all, come sit down, I can read it aloud." He defended and the two men laughed. "He was teasing sweetness." Jax complimented and Adrian could barely look at him, his neck to ears were all red.
He really needed to stop doing this, but it was the price he was paying for not being able to handle compliments from people he liked. "Thank you." He replied in Jax's mind and the boy rubbed his head, the sensation was foreign but he got used to it. "Yeah, it's like getting hit by a door." Johnny comforted, he knew how at first it was overwhelming, but gradually you get used to it. "It will always work, as long as you're in range of psychic reach, you can share memories and thoughts." Adrian explained as he took the book from the table. "You amaze me everyday Ari." Jax whispered in his ear making him flush and himself very pleased.
"Okay enough with teasing sergeant blushed a lot, you had something to read." Johnny interjected and Adrian nods as he got comfortable beside Jax. "Greeneway Bay was founded by seven mystic races, the weres, the witches, the fae, the vampires, the banshees, the succubus/incubus, and the demons." Adrian narrated as he showed Jax and his brother an image of each mystic being. "Each of these races had a leading family, and each family had a head, he was the ruler of that particular race, over time a council was formed, each head of the families was a representative of his own kind, they were peaceful for a time until the demons began to accumulate more power and tried to put the other races under their thrall, seeing this the were patriarch led a battle against the demons, the witches and fae cast a spell that imprisoned them in a dimensional prison where they still accumulate power and one day hope to escape." Adrian narrated and a lot of this made sense.
The hooded figures were trying to draw power from the demons, but why would they need it, it was corrupt. "Wow, so that's the mystic history, it sounds like folklore." Jax commented but the look on Adrian's face had him regretting his words. "Its real isn't it?" Johnny questioned and Adrian nodded. "It's been hidden from the normal world, I saw it today when I went to see the chief, he's a vampire by the way." Adrian replied calmly as he moved the bestiary to the table from the shelf. "Almost every being in there is real." He added and the two men were at a loss of words.
"The were patriarch gained power over Greeneway Bay and it's circle of founding families." Adrian asserted and it all made him realize that there was more to his home than just a beautiful beach. "So you're telling me there is what, another world hidden from us in Greeneway Bay, that's totally insane but somehow I believe you." Jax confessed knowing he had seen things that weren't supposed to be real. "Would you believe me if I said at one time I remember turning into a monster with nine tails, I can feel it's rage at times." He mumbled through the link and immediately Adrian opened the bestiary. "You aren't a monster Jax, I can sense a second soul within you, and it's always made me wonder if you were a mystical being, I will keep researching but the closest I can think when it comes to nine tails it's kitsune." Adrian comforted and Jax snorted.
"That didn't make me feel better but at least I know I'm not crazy." He replied and the three laughed. "There is a lot I don't know, but this place is filled with knowledge that we need, and if you're willing to find out then I will help, I was about to look into what Johnny is, he just had another very noticeable growth spurt." Adrian replied as Johnny smugly showed off his now massive body but it still didn't rival Jax as the boy was nearly six foot six. "I think that would be great, but it can wait, I think we've already had too much information for the day." Jax argued and Adrian was compelled to agree.
All day he had to deal with what was going on around him that he forgot to live, so he nodded eagerly. "How about muffins, milkshakes and Ice tea." He offered and the two men nodded enthusiastically. "Great." Adrian asserted as they got off the couches and out of the library. Though he knew he couldn't avoid what was going on and also he knew he had to call his father and ask him if he knew anything about the mystic world or about his kids being mystics, today wasn't the day, he would do it when he had little stress.

Mystery.
"Shit, I can't find him, a powerful spell was cast over him, there is a witch he must know that's blocking us and protecting the little thing." A hooded figure sneered looking into a bowl of blood which reflected images of all Greeneway Bay. "No matter, it seems we might've have assumed wrong in that the fae child was alone when he had someone to protect him, it doesn't matter, we can always hunt more." A feminine voice whispered in the darkness, it's voice spewed evil in waves but those hooded in black reveled in that evil.
They nodded to it and turned to leave the place they had cleansed for their ritual. "Go now, and find the last child so we may feed!" The feminine voice yelled and all who were there vanished into the night.
