Lily's POV
Yet again, for next three months everything was silent, we enjoyed each other company , his mother never bothered us, but I felt something fishy about that. Obviously, she had not liked me very much!! Or even a little at that, so it is an obvious thing that she will definitely do something.
"Hey, my flower!" Mallik came and kissed me on my lips, and I reciprocated as soon as his touched mine. His one hand roamed in my front, and second held my neck. After a few seconds or minutes, we broke the kiss. He smooched me three more times before finally letting go off me. I turned around to look at Advait, Mallik's best friend, who was looking at me with heated cheeks. He acts like he is watching something forbidden for his virgin eyes. He is the biggest playboy (bastard) I have seen in my life.
While, Mallik and me are each others first in everything, he had not saved himself, for his the one, I guess he won't find one. I won't say on his face though, as heartless I am, I won't be hurting Mallik's friends at least.
We walked from our meeting place --the library-- towards the class. Mallik had not left my hand for even once. His face marred with obvious worries. It was month end, and exams were over, I don't know why he was so worried.
"Mallik!" I said, his face turned to me. "What's wrong with you!" He looked away for a minute, and then right at me!
"I feel like something is going to happen Lily" He said. "Promise me! you won't leave me whatever may come our way!" I nodded my head with a reassuring smile. I pecked his lips once again, telling him not to worry.
What can probably go wrong, right?
Wrong!
Next moment, we were standing in the court, with his good-for-nothing, bitch, whore (sorry Mallik) mother and My father on the pedestal. My eyes watered, oh god no!
Mallik's mother, had brought one of the best lawyers to fight against, my father. She claimed to be an old friend of my mother, and courtroom gave her the permission to say whatever she wanted to say.
"Lets start the hearing!" The judge said.
Latik nodded at me with reassuring eyes. Mallik squeezed my hand and nodded at his lawyer. His lawyer was also helping Latik. Khan stood by us and was continuously looking at Jyoti --Mallik's mother-- with resentful gaze.
"So what is it you had to say Mrs Jyoti Raina" The judge asked. Jyoti went to the pedestal.
"Julie was my best friend, and we met in the college" Bloody liar "She had loved, Raghav with all her heart, but this man did not gave attention to her and she was depressed, and one day he came home and killed her" Jyoti said.
"She is lying!" My voice boomed in the otherwise silent room. My eyes were red, and my heart was bursting into fear, she had resources, she had power, what if she proved Papa guilty... NO NO
That can't happen!
Mallik pulled me hand, forcing me to sit down. I sat back, before judge can even say anything to me. I looked at dad, and tears fell from my eyes. Mallik wiped my tears and talked me into calming down. I did.... Not really!
"You have some questions lawyer" Judge asked Latik. Latik nodded in acknowledgement and asked for his permission.
"So! Mrs Raina" Latik said. "you are Late Miss. Julie's friend you say!" Jyoti nodded firmly, confident.
"Tell me about some of your experience with Miss. Julie" There was the first crack. She fumbled with her words.
"I... We went to goa, together, we have plain tickets" she said " I even have our photos together."
"No need miss, just tell me which college you went it!"
"We went to St Joseph college. we were best friends."
"Why do you keep pressing on the friend part, Miss, I did not even once asked you"
The second crack. She was loosing her patience. Latik was best known to agitate his rivals, talking them into confession. I hope it works.
"He is making my client nervous sir"
"Objection overruled"
"I.. I just miss her!" Jyoti said
"Oh really, well then, let me call my first witness to the case sir!" Jyoti snapped her eyes at latik, who smirked at her. Looking at her, we can tell she was not prepared for this. Worriedly, she looked at her lawyer, who looked down.
When the person entered inside, Jyoti eyes widened ten folds. I was curious if they can really pop out of the socket.
The man I did not knew came and stood.
"So Mr. Aggarwal introduce yourself please!" I looked at Mallik who blinked at me in assurance.
What's going on?
"I am Ronit Aggarwal!" The man introduced. "Jyoti's lover!" A gasp escaped my mouth, as I looked over to Mallik. What the hell?! "I have been in a relationship with her since we were in college!"
"Exactly which college Sir!" Latik counter questioned. Jyoti was cheating on Mallik's father!
"University of Mellbourne Australia!" He said. Jyoti looked at him aghast.
"He... he is lying!"
"Silence" the judge said.
"Tell from the start Mr Aggarwal"
"We were in the same college and She was my classmate, slowly we fell for each other and then I decided I wanted to marry her, but she told me to wait a few more, a few more, and I did, until she married someone else. She told me that she wants to continue our relationship despite my attempt to not to, but she talked me into it. For past twenty years, I loved her, even when she got widowed I supported her, somewhere happy that we can finally be together. But She said I needed to wait some more. I did. But a few weeks back she told me, that she need to force Mallik sign on the property papers of Mr Raina."
Everyone started talking in court but my eyes were fixed on Mallik. He did not looked affected at all.
The case had somehow gone from dad to Jyoti, in a few seconds only.
"You bastard how dare you!" Jyoti lunged towards Ronit, but the police caught her.
"Is there something more to confess Mr. Aggarwal!"
"Yes" He replied.
"Don't you dare Ronit" Jyoti shouted, but he seemed unaffected.
"Mallik, is not son of Jyoti, he is son of Mr Raina and Shubhi who died just after giving birth to Mallik."
Talks started again and Mallik still seemed unaffected. Jyoti was shouting profanities on Ronit and Dad was off the pedastal, to my relief. Jyoti tried to lunge at Mallik too, but he did not even merely react. Judge told Jyoti should be taken under custody, and asked Mallik to file a case against her. He nodded and did filed the case against her.
"Don't worry dad, We will get you out of here." I nodded at him suddenly more confident about this.
"You will, my Lily" He lovingly patted my hair, and kissed my forehead. "Take care of her until I am out, after that I can take care of her myself!" Mallik grinned at him.
"No one can take her away from me uncle, but you can live with us if you want." He said. I laughed in glee, feeling overwhelming emotions surfacing with the men I loved the most in the world in front of me!
I bid goodbye to Dad and Mallik and me went to our sacred place. We sat there for hours our bodies limp against each other. I did asked him if he was okay, he said he knew all of this. He knew Jyoti was not his real mother.
"Lily" I hummed.
"When Do I propose you to get married!" He asked and I turned to him, my heart beat speeding. I smiled at him and shrugged. "After dad comes out of the prison, anytime!" He grinned at me and kissed me hard on my mouth.
I looked at him.
"We are always going to be like this, aren't we? " He tucked a hair strand behind my ear, before nodding his head at me.
"Yes Lily, It will always be us, you me and our lots of kids" I laughed before joining our forehead.
"It'll always be us. Us against the world."
He said and I looked at him before whispering an I love you to him.
He kissed me again, touching me in forbidden places. We hugged tight for few minutes before he sighed. I closed my eyes against his chest and limped.
"Atleast I can be at peace for two years now!"
I heard him before slipping into my dreamland with my world beside me!!
