Mallik's POV
I hi-fied Advait, as I strolled towards the library, at this time of day I will find her there only. I grinned thinking about the last three months and how they had went.
Pure bliss!
Lily won't even say anything now when I will hold her hand or when I will behave all possessive when some boy will come up to her and flirt or even try to talk to her. I got all angry but she will never once loose her patience and snapped at me, as to why should I ask? She always explained patiently.
Six months of my life with her, and I was like happiest bastard alive, already!.
I got into the library, but it was all dark, I did not knew no one was here at this time. I looked around closely, and I saw a boy with glasses sitting there........... strange!
I went to him!
"Umm... what are you doing here alone!" he looked at me for a very awkward minute, before gesturing me to sit down. I sat, I don't even know why. Earlier, if he had met me, I would have flipped him off and went away, but after meeting my flower, I knew, I should not treat people that way.
"I was just.... researching!" He said, adjusting his thick glasses on his nose.
"About what?!" I asked, intrigued. I have never seen him on this campus. But then again, I have never seen anyone apart from my five male friends and Lily of course.
"About... Love!" He said. Now I was Interested. Maybe this will help me knowing about things I can do to impress my sweetheart.
"Okay! So can you give me some tips!" I asked.
"Obviously I would. I can tell only by looking at you, that you love this girl more than the life itself." He said, I smiled.
"that I do!" I told him.
"Hmm....So listen, this is very important." He said and I leaned in. "How long it had been since she came to your life."
"Its been....15 years or so! but we got separated and met together just six months back!" I told. He hummed again.
"So here is the rule of Love fairies. That is called 3,6,9 rule!" He said. I ignored the fairy bullshit part and focused on the main thing.
"3,6,9?!" I asked. I only knew about 69!

"Yes, see! you met her six months back, and did something happened after 3 months of your meeting?" He asked, I gulped, Its still scary, her loud crying wails still rung in my ears.
"Y...yes!" I said.
"So this is the thing, that's it! so something will happen, after six months, that means its around the time, and then after 3 more months. You getting me!" He said. I gulped. It means we are going to fight again!? Today! and after 9 months.
I did not knew I said it out loud.
"Its not like you will get into a fight, last time maybe it was a fight, but it will be an obstruction of some sort. It will try to blew you apart, but you have to maintain it!" he said.
"When will this end." I asked.
"After nine years." My eyes bulged!
"WHAT!" I shouted. So many fights.
"It means you will have problems at, third sixth and ninth month and then, at third year, sixth year and ninth year of your life together. After nine years it will stop, because according to the manual, until then you would've had approval of your love from the fairies of love, it means total of 6 obstacles, or fights." He explained. I sighed, at least its not every year. But what utter bullshit was I even listening to!
"What's your name?" I asked.
"Yash" he told me. I bid him good-bye and went away. I was afraid now. Its about the month end, it means something was going to happen now. I did not wanted to believe in that, but still I can't help but think about the things he said.
I took a can from the vending machine and walked dazed. I stood in front of Lily's department, still thinking, oblivious of my surrounding, sipping on my can. A girl --in traditional-- came and held my hand, what the fuck!?
how dare she!?
I swatted her hand away, and moved without looking up!
When will Lily come?
"what the hell do you think you're doing?" My gaze snapped up, as I took the double take of the person beside me. The can slipped from my hand and fell down. Is she my Lily?
Standing in kurti and pants, she literally looked like the fairy of love.
"I...I..." What the hell? I need to confess before she slips out of my hands like sand, but I can't get my words out. Just when I thought she could not be anymore beautiful, she pulled out this!
She looked so beautiful.
"I... can we go to our place, I really need to tell you something." Oh my god! I had to do some praising before, but I was too stunned to speak, I have never seen her in clothes like this. She looked at me concerned.
"Okay lets go!" That was it, I took her hand in mine, as I always did. And we went to my car, I hurriedly made her sit and we went to our place, the secret garden, which used to be mine, but now, its ours!
I paced around as she sat on the bench. I turned to her suddenly! I was so nervous right now.
Her eyes followed my movements.
"Lily, I..."
"Yes, tell me!" she encouraged. In last few months we have shared everything about our life to each other. I had told her about my loneliness, and she told me about my her abusive mother, her dad in jail, the trauma, the PTSD, Her living her life alone, paying herself for everything, she also told me she had generous landlords, who never asked for money. She lived there free, and then came to dorm for free, and free studying.
What she do not know was It was me behind all that! Not that I will ever tell her that.
I took a deep breathe! I closed my eyes and started rambling!
"Lily, I love you! I had been in love with you since I first saw you, I did not wanted to confess, because it might have ruined this budding friendship from your side and I would've left with nothing, I will not annoy you, I will wait for you to catch feelings for me and I will not force you in anything, we can wait for Papa to get out of prison if you want to before our wedding and I won't force you to have kids with me.....and..."
I was stopped by a soft pair of lips, stunned... I opened my eyes to look at no body but closed eyes of the woman I love. Too stunned we both did not moved our lips for a time being!
Then she broke the kiss and I trailed after her lips.
"Stop rambling, and who told you I need to catch feelings, I already feels for you, I love you too!" I sighed, and hugged her! I can't tell how overwhelming this is. I put my head in her neck and tears trailed down.
"Mallik" she said softly, I nodded my head, I was so happy, I can't tell in words.
"I can't tell you Lily, I have waited so long for you, so long!" I said, sharing every bit of pain from the last few years. She hugged me tight.
"I know Mallik I know" She said and kissed my hair. I picked her up, her toes must be hurting by now! I broke the hug.
"Can I?" I asked looking at her lips. Finally, fucking finally. She nodded. I took her lips in between mine and kissed the day light out of her.
We broke the kiss after a few second before we decided to leave. But she held my hand, and kissed me on my cheek.
"I love you!" she whispered with a sweet smile on her face. I looked at her mesmerized. Just when I thought she can't get any more beautiful. She blew my heart with that smile. Oh fuck!
"I love you more than you can ever imagine!" I said, putting my forehead on hers.
Take that! you fortune teller.
What can go wrong, right?

The very next moment we were standing in the office of that bullshit principal. I literally hate him, I already had missed so much of my time with lily, I did not wanted to anymore. But all those thoughts flew away, when I looked at the person coming in from the door. Can this even get worse?
And just then I realized never fucking ask that question to yourself again!!
"So, my son is quite studying I see!" Mother taunted me, and I supressed to roll my eyes. "Hmm.... So lets go through, what you've been up to for last few months." She said and picked up a file.
"So you were doing, nothing but following someone like a love sick puppy, were not you?!" I curled my hands, in order to not do or say anything repulsive. Lily, curled her hands around my curled ones, and I immediately loosened my hold and took her hand in mine.
"It's none of your concern, mother, since, I am giving you what you've always wanted, grades." Something flickered in her eyes, before she smiled evilly at me.
"That's where you are wrong son! I control your life, I control you! And you will do what I will say, you will marry, Ahana, daughter of my colleague really earlier than I planned to and you will leave this poor gold dig..."
"Don't!" My voice lowered, so much that my mom flinched. "Don't even look at her, or else I'll forget that you good-for-nothing woman is my mother and do something so horrendous that you will never be able to call me your son again. And about the marriage with whatever business partner, if you are so interested you get married to him, because I am interested in no one but Lily." I said, and in a minute my face turned to my side. My mother slapped me. Her crocodile tears sliding down her eyes.
"Whatever I did, I did it for you!" She rubbed her tears, gracefully, "And if you think you will get money of mine, after my death, that will never be yours, you gettin' me!" Suddenly I burst out into laughing, it was hollow, but I was out for vengeance right now. She thinks she can give derogatory remarks at my flower, and I'll let her go!!!
"Oh really, how delusional of you mother!" I mocked. She looked at me stunned, even though, I was never bothered by her presence, I have also never raised my voice on her. "You and I, we both knows, very well, that the company belongs to no one but me! it was named after me, and what you want on the papers are my signature, that I will never ever give you!" She looked at me with her jaw hung down "You thought you were the only one looking into my life, I was also."
Fear clouded her vision. Yeah! I knew about her very dirty secret, I just did not want to tell her! but she forced me to....
"I will ruin you both!" She looked at us with hint of resentment in her eyes.
"We will be waiting!" Lily said for the first time before she dragged me with her. I could not help but kiss her right there in front of everyone in the corridor.
