My entire body shook with revulsion as I shoved Felix Winston back with all my strength.
Stumbling to my feet, my dress—still unfastened—slid down my shoulders. I grabbed at the fabric in a panic, yanking it back up before I could expose myself further.
And then I saw them.
My fiancé, Quentin Lowell, had his arms wrapped around my best friend, Luna Evans, their lips locked in a deep, hungry kiss.
"Have you all lost your goddamn minds?" My voice cracked as I stared at the three of them, my stomach twisting in disgust.
Quentin barely pulled away from Luna, his mouth still hovering over hers as he smirked at me. "Evelyn Roscente, relax. What's the big deal? It's just a little s If I don't care, why should you?"
"You bastard!" The scream tore from my throat, raw and furious.
He actually had the nerve to laugh. "How am I the bad guy here? Everyone's into it. Don't pretend like you don't know how much fun it is to mix things up."
Luna giggled, running her fingers through Quentin's hair. "Oh, Evie, you really had no idea, did you? Quentin and I have been hooking up for months when you weren't around. And let me tell you—trying something new is so much hotter. You should give Felix a shot. Trust me, he's very good at what he does."
Felix licked his lips, his eyes raking over me like I was already his. "Look at you, Evelyn. All worked up. Why fight it? Just let go and enjoy yourself."
He took a step closer.
I scrambled back, my skin crawling at the thought of his hands on me.
"Stay the hell away from me!"
My glare burned into Quentin. "After everything I've done for you—letting you live off my money, feeding you, keeping you—this is how you repay me? You're pathetic."
Then I turned on Luna, my voice dripping with venom. "And you. I called you my best friend. I got you a job when you were broke. I let you crash in my apartment when you had nowhere else to go. And this is how you thank me? You're nothing but a backstabbing slut."
Luna's eyes turned icy. "Oh, please. Don't act all high and mighty, Evelyn. Remember freshman year? You screwed some random guy within the first month and begged me not to tell anyone. The whole dorm knew you were the biggest whore on campus. Or how about that time we shared a bed and you wouldn't shut up about how men shaped your perfect little tits?"
She smirked. "You don't get to call me a whore."
