Sebastian and I spent all night and morning in the hotel and if we slept it was just for an hour or two. But we weren't the least bit tired or sleepy. Seb brought wine and for the first time I got drunk on expensive red wine. There was a lot of talk, sex, food and jumping around that night and then we slept in the next morning, cuddling and waking up next to each other. It was the absolute best thing in the entire world.
I spent the rest of the next day showing Sebastian around Campus, hitting every part I could remember and I liked. I don't know if his mind was blown but I needed him to love the campus and I didn't know why. We had lunch at the EatOut and he actually liked that part a lot. After that Ryder invited him to come visit her at Go— the animal shelter and clinic. Seb and I went over and it's until we were at the reception that I remembered that Diego worked here. My heart but then I reminded myself that I didn't do anything wrong and there's no reason I should avoid Diego or keep Sebastian from meeting him.
Right?
"So in case you ever want to buy a dog," Ryder was explaining to a very uninterested Sebastian. "You should hit me up. I'm working here because I want a fur coat, Paxton doesn't think it's sensible but like, how can it not be sensible?" Seb lowered down to Ryder's ear to whisper something that I don't here. Ryder latches onto his hand like she doesn't want him going anywhere. "I know you don't but that won't stop me from yapping about it."
"Unfortunately," he said, glaring at her and then turning to pout at me. I pout back, then smile and shrug. Ryder also wanted to spend little time with him, he was her friend afterall. Before I could say tik tok, they disappeared further into the clinic and I was left alone in the reception.
I brought out my phone and decided to go through the pictures on my phone that Seb and I took back at the hotel. We looked silly in some and super serious in some and so completely in love in others. I laughed to myself scrolling through.
"That shouldn't be a cat meme," I heard Diego's voice say and I look up from my phone to meet his glinting green eyes on me. "Because I can't look at anymore of those. I barely took succeeded in looking away from my phone the last time."
I chuckled, "a grown, big man into cat memes. Hm, not something you see everyday."
"Unfortunately," he smirks. "Like, why on earth won't you be into that." I laughed and slowly sobered up when our eyes met again. "Hey you, didn't know you were here."
"Hasn't been long since I've been," I said, then looked at my phone. The picture currently on the screen was one of me grinning at the camera and Sebastian lying on the bed. His face was completely blocked out but you could see his bare legs. I briefly turned the phone to him, "and no, not a cat meme. I'm not that into animals."
"Which is strange given that you look like a total cat person."
I gasp, touching my chest dramatically. "Are you trying to say I am a total lonely grandma alone in a house with nine cats?"
Diego advanced towards me, I was really tempted to back up but I didn't. "Are you trying to say only lonely grannies can have nine cats? Because we're gonna fight, cutie."
"I didn't," I broke into a giggle. "I didn't say that, calm down."
"I'm calm," he nudged his head to look at me. "Aren't you?"
My face burned and prickled, but not in a bad way and it took me a while to look away and get my words before looking back at him. "You just said you were going to fight me?" I didn't intend it to come out that way but then my eyes trailed around his upper body and when I looked back at him, I swear I something in the air. "Should I be calm?"
Diego didn't say anything and then he blinked and smirked. "Like I would ever—"
"—maybe if you toned down on being so you, she'd like you too," Seb's voice interrupted as he and Ryder walked back into the reception room.
"No, all females just hate me, including canine breeds," Ryder complained. "Do you think I just, like exuded anti lesbian aura or vibes? What am I doing wrong in their gay thing?"
"I dunno."
"Aren't you gay?"
Sebastian shrugged, "I only know about one person." At that they are fully out now and he looks at me with a grin. Then his eyes moved to Diego and back to me. "Flynn, a Chihuahua that your girlfriend's been trying to hit on, automatically loved me."
I blinked and took a step back, turning towards them instead. "Yeesh."
"Do you blame her?" Ryder said, gesturing to Sebastian with her hand from head to toe. "She's a bitch."
"Baby, please tell her not to hate on love," Sebastian said, eying Ryder with a look that made her laugh.
"Ry, don't hate on love."
"Baby?" Diego asked, raising a brow at me then at Sebastian. Sebastian raised a brow right back and he had a lightbulb moment, mouth opening as he looks at me understandingly and we share a nod.
"Yeah," I drawled. "Simba, this is my boyfriend, Sebastian. Seb, this is Diego, also known as Simba and he's kinda in charge of this place."
"Uh, that's like a big, overstatement," Diego said, then offered a smile to Sebastian. "Nice to meet you Sebastian, I've heard a lot."
"Same here, Simba," Sebastian said, smiling back at him. "In the 'same here' department. I haven't heard a lot about you."
Diego chuckles but then I don't see the smile he usually has in his eyes, "guess that's one way to say your boyfriend isn't as keen to me as he is to you."
"Of course."
Ryder and I exchanged a look and we both shrugged. I could something in the air but I was playing innocent and refusing to call it 'tension'. Why would there be tension? Seb was literally seeing Diego for the first time and it's not like he caught us holding hands or something.
"Okay," Ryder drawled when the two big guys in the room wouldn't stop looking at each other. Actually up close, they were the very same height, Diego just looked taller because he was a teeny bit buffier— if that makes any sense. "Since we've all met and hugged, should we hang out? I could call Nancy and crew."
"No," Sebastian said, smirking at Ry as he puts his arm around my shoulder. "I'm hanging out with Flynn alone, all day today." He turned to me, "Right?"
"Right," I agree, that was the plan afterall. I wasn't sharing him this one time I had him here. "So sorry Ry, as much as I love and want you around... It's just today." Sebastian turned to smirk at her in victory as if saying 'HA!'.
Ryder pouted, "aw come on, I miss Sebastian too and I so want everyone to see him."
"Ah yes, join the queue," Sebastian said and I smack his arm making him roll his eyes.
"You're so mean," Ry pouted with a smile.
"I know."
"Well, who am I to come in between you two lovers, am I right Diego?" Ry asked, making my eyes go wide as I turn to look at him.
He pretended he wasn't listening to us all along, completely lost in getting the white gloves off his hand. "Mmhm."
"Go on ahead, I'd have fun here with Diego and try winning my bitch over."
"Goodluck with that," Sebastian said, already walking us out the building.
"Love you Ry," I call, then to Diego who's still looking at his fingers by the way— "Bye Simba."
He doesn't use words and his response to me is a soft closed lipped smiled.
"Ry would be disappointed you didn't hang out more," I said, looking at Sebastian with utmost attention.
"I'd come back again and we'd spend more time together then. I know I'm going to miss you the moment we say goodbye again, I need this right now," he said linking our fingers together, it fit perfectly.
I smiled, my heart swelling with warmth. "Me too." We walked silently for about a minute before I couldn't take me curiosity anymore. "Are you upset?"
"About?"
"Me not telling about Simb- Diego?"
"Should I be?"
I looked down at my feet, I feel like he should be but then I didn't really do anything wrong. I shrugged, "I just feel you are."
"I am not."
"Not even a teeny bit?"
He stopped, turning and smirking at me. "You want me to be?"
I look into his blue grey eyes and I find myself saying rubbish. "I'd be a little upset if I find you are close friends with a guy you're not telling me about."
Sebastian sighs and closes the distance between us, cupping my face with his big hands. "When you told me you got into college and I knew I wasn't coming along, I knew what to expect. I once told you you'd be a heartbreaker because you're..." His eyes searched mine like he was looking for the appropriate word. "Gorgeous. In every way, Flynn. Now, if I get jealous because of your nickname basis friend, then I'd be punching through this institution at every guy who gives you a second glance." I smiled, and he gave me one too. "I might be, jealous, upset, whatever but I'm counting on the fact that you're mine and I'm yours and we're for each other. So no," Sebastian placed a kiss on my nose causing me to giggle. "I'm not upset because when I'm here, you're here and when you're not, you're with me."
"Always," I said, feeling like I was going to cry. I so didn't deserve a guy like Sebastian Crown.
"Always," he smiled and leans down to kiss me, whispering on my lips. "I love you."
"I love you," I whispered back. "And I don't deserve you."
"Mm," he kissed my cheek. "Right back at you."
I giggle like a maniac feeling sixteen all over again. We start walking and I go around to asking, "want me to tell you about Diego? He's a really cool friend."
"Whatever. Make your friends, I don't tell you about all the guys and girls, I share drinks with at the bar."
"What? You drink there?"
He nodded, "yup, people buy for me drinks all the time."
"What kind of people?"
Sebastian released my hand, turned to me and said, "Ha," before running off and leaving me dumbfounded.
"What kind of people, Seb?" I asked, laughing as I run after him. "Sebastian!"
Sebastian and I spend the rest of the day together, after going around the school which he got tired of pretty quick, we spent the remaining hours in the hotel. Not just on the bed but also in the jacuzzi— I got the best massage and bath from yours truly—, the swimming pool, the kitchen and running around chasing each other like kids in love, which we were. I spend another amazing night with him and in the morning, he was gone. No, he didn't leave a note, I followed him to the airport and had another heartbreaking experience of saying goodbye and I watched the plane for minute, crying a bit before going back to my dorm and curling myself up on my bed.
To say I missed him would be an understatement, Sebastian felt like a part of me. Like a literal part of my body, maybe an organ or something that happens to be magnetic. When he was here, I felt whole, complete, happy and satisfied. When he's beside me, I feel like I've made it all in life, like he's exactly what I need to live, like I can do anything and be anything and go anywhere. Nothing else really matters and it's just me and him. When he left, I felt like I was back to being incomplete and halved. Like I'm constantly being drawn back home. It hurts a bit and I'm left longing and wishing. I've known I love him since from the very beginning but everyday with him, I continue realizing that I love him. It keeps hitting me in the face and heart, painfully and wonderfully. I love him, I love him, I love him.
Sighing, I turned around, switching on my phone to look at the screen wallpaper. I can't wait until he's completely here with me without saying any goodbyes. I can't wait until he gets into college and we get to be together as we should be. I don't know what I'd do with myself if I have to survive another year apart. Distance sucked.
"I can't wait until you're here," I said to myself and my phone, touching his picture on my phone. "My Bubblegum Prince."
