"Like la la la la," Sebastian said over the phone, telling me how the new owner of the bar he works at has been making the DJ play super boring songs that always succeeded in making him sleepy at the job.
I laughed, "okay, that doesn't sound like an exaggeration. I could use a song like that to fall asleep right now?"
"Want me to sing to you?" He offered and I could picture his face so well, if I was an artist, I'd draw it so he'd come to life. I could imagine him laying on the queen sized bed we have fallen asleep on several times, taking to me and looking at his ceiling. Just like I was doing now.
I shook my head even though he couldn't see that, "no, I can't fall asleep now. I have assignments."
"You'd do them this night?"
I looked at the tip, it was past midnight already. "Yup, I've slept enough."
"When are you due to submit it?"
I turned around, wishing that I could just end up with my head on his chest. "The lecturer didn't give a date, could be his next class. But I'd like to do some reading and I might as well just do it the same time, can't be too prepared."
I could feel his smile, "okay then."
"What?" I starting to smile too and I didn't even know why.
"Nothing, I just miss your nerdiness so much. I remember how much of a reading freak you are. Like how you were too afraid to sleep the day before SATs, you knew the whole books line by line and forced me to ask you questions until I fell asleep." He laughed, "In my mind, I was like, what the fuck have I gotten myself into."
I laughed too, looking over to Sim's sleeping body and covering my mouth. I was trying not to wake him up, "oh wow, tell me something I don't know."
"Okay, it nothing terrible, don't start." He sighed, "thinking back, I wouldn't have preferred that night to go any differently. You're one in a million."
I blushed turning around all giddy on the bed, it's always like I'm falling in with him all over again. Sometimes I can't even believe he's my boyfriend and has been my boyfriend for over a year. Sebastian Crown is a dream come true for me. "Stop making me blush, I feel like I'm heating up the room with my face and Sim could wake up anytime."
"I love you."
My heart stopped, I felt warm all over and if disappearance was a possible thing, I would have gotten the skill because of the amount of want I had for it. It would have been granted to me because I deserved it, nobody wanted it like I did at this moment. "I love you too." My voice came out small and I felt a tear roll down my face from one eye. I missed him so much, it was making me teary and this was just Thursday, barely one week in.
We stayed silent for seconds, hearing each other breath 200km away. I heard him turn on the bed. "Don't forget to tell Ryder hi for me."
"Will do," I sighed. "Make breakfast tomorrow okay and try talking to your owner before the business crashes on you both."
"Okay," he made a kiss sound, sending a kiss my way. "Goodnight Flynn."
"Goodnight Seb."
The line died and I buried my head into the pillow, screaming into it. Long distance relationship is so not easy, kudos to all that have done it before. I respect them. I stayed on the bed thinking about Sebastian for close to an hour before I finally got up to read. During the summer, I spent every day with him, only going to my parents house when they called for me. Mum would shout and shout and I stay home for three days before I disappeared to his place again. I wanted to get as much of him as possible before I go away.
I did but apparently it wasn't enough.

"I hope I didn't disturb you last night?" I asked Sim as he walked into the kitchen, freshly showered with nothing but his boxers and a shirt on.
He raised a confused brow before shaking his head. "No? I'm a really deep sleeper by the way, so far only an alarm, earthquake and my mum's slap can successfully wake me up." He teared open a sachet of coffee. "The alarm took some serious training and the earthquake has to be huge."
I laughed, "wow." I was relieved, last thing I want is to be a nuisance to my roommate and I couldn't stop the late night calls to Sebastian. It wasn't everyday though.
"No, it's not a laughing matter. My parents once took me to see the doctor because of it," he said pouring hot water from the teakettle into his cup.
My smile fell, "really?"
He looked up and grinned at me, "really but it was no big deal. I'm fine, just a deep sleeper."
I shook my head, "fuck you. I was already feeling like a douche."
"Sorry."
I shared the bacon and sausage I have been preparing into two plates for us both. "You should never hang out with Ryder. You'd turn worst."
"I think she's cool, she doesn't look like this whole college thing affects her at all. She's looks like the definition of chill," he told me, taking a seat by the counter like I did. Then he cringed, "great, talk about jumping into conclusions."
I laughed, "Ryder won't mind this conclusion trust me and you're right, she's pretty chill."
He took a bite, "unlike me, my nerves are all over the place. And I miss home too much for someone who claims he's grown."
"Me too," I confessed. "I'm afraid to mess up and I don't even know how I could. And I miss home too." More like someone. "And my boyfriend so much." I don't know when I added.
Sim shyly looked up at me and wiggled a brow. I burst out laughing, throwing him a bread piece. "Shut up."
"Sebastian right?" He asked laughing too as he got off his chair to pick the piece of bread that missed him and landed on the floor.
"Yes," I totally forgot he was a neat freak. I apologized with my eyes for the bread.
"He's a lucky guy." He just said and continued digging into his food.
I blushed, no I'm the lucky one.
Breakfast ended, Sim thanked me and got to washing the dishes while I got dressed for class. We ended up leaving the room at the same time and walking out together.
"You didn't sleep all through the night, right?" Was the first thing Ryder said to me as we met, linking our arms up. I nodded, "great, you look dead."
"Why thank you, Ry," I looked her over, "you however look wonderful."
"Thanks."

"You all are adults, I hope and I would hate to repeat myself," the lab lecturer said, trying to look at everyone's faces, even though she was short and round. "If you're not in a lab coat, disappear before I see you. Two lines please, gently walk into the lab, quietly, " she emphasized. "Each two persons walking to their table accordingly and not touching anything!"
They started with a boy versus girl line but somehow everyone got into a hurry quickly making the line before the lady gets angry and sends you away and so, it wasn't a girl boy thing anymore. Just quickly enter and be part of the line to save your ass. I joined the hurry, getting pushed a bit before I finally squeezed into a line, breathing out in relief. I surprisingly ended up beside a girl in the next line but she wasn't in a lab coat and before the woman could spot her, someone in front of her told her and she grumbled, walking away. The person behind her took a step forward taking her position beside me and I looked to see that it was pierced guy.
You've got to be kidding me...
I wouldn't say I've been avoiding him but there was this silent prayer not to bump into him again. I don't know what it is about him but he made me uncomfortable and it had nothing to do with his piercing but everything to do with how I said he wasn't my type and how it seemed like something higher was fighting to make him exactly that. He was just Sebastian's height if not an itch taller, he chewed gum and he happened to have this aloof I don't care attitude going on.
But he's straight and I Don't Care.
I haven't seen him since the EatOut and now here was, about to become my fucking seatmate. I looked up at him and he wasn't looking at me, just straight and head, subtly chewing on a gum. I mentally face palmed, this has to be some universe joke.
The lines started moving and our lady lecturer stood outside watching everybody as they walked in. Her assistant was inside the class, an equally small man, his big eyes silently following us around as we took our seats. Pierced guy and I walked in, going to the next free table that had all our lab equipments arranged on it. This was going to be fun, I concluded, I happened to love Chemistry so much and I wasn't going to let the same mistakes that happened in junior year happen again. This time it won't be a school detention, probably carrying the course over or suspension, none of which I wanted to ever experience.
Taking in a deep breath, I turned to pierced guy. "Hi, I'm Paxton." Every other person who were strangers were introducing themselves so it wasn't weird that I was to, it would be weird if I didn't.
He turned to me and extended a hand, I took it. "Diego."
I just heard his voice for the first time and honestly, I'm not disappointed. It was deep and rich, perfectly fitting the man in front of me. And his name, it fit too. "Diego?" My stupid mouth opened, the name sounds so well and I loved it. "Like the Lion, Diego?"
"Huh?" Diego asked, raising a perfect brow up.
I smiled, unable to stop myself. "That animation Ice Age, the lion Diego, the baby and mammoth."
"Okay..." He drawled, looking amused.
I quietly laughed, "I loved that animation and Diego the lion was my favorite. He was supposed to take the baby from the mammoth but at the end he fell in love with the baby and became friends with the mammoth. Turned on his pride and helped delivered the baby to his parents. Actually I don't even know if the baby was a boy or girl, I'm guessing boy. I cried when they finally separated, Diego the lion changed completely and even..." I trailed off, furiously blushing as I noticed that pierced guy was trying so hard not to laugh.
"I'm sorry, my mouth doesn't have a brake," I apologised unable to look at him, "and I've been comparing you to an animated lion, what an ass."
"I don't mind," Diego said smiling, "its cute."
I looked up at him, "I'm sorry still and don't think I'm childish because of this, okay? Your name just made me remember one of my favorite animations."
"It's okay, really Pax..."
"Paxton."
"Nice name, sounds classy," he complimented. "Not like a lion but," he shrugged and I smiled.
"Quiet please." The assistant said giving us a look and walking away.
We exchanged a look but other than that, we remained quiet and when it was time to work, we surprisingly worked well together. Diego knew a lot about what he was doing and I did too, dare I say it was perfect teamwork. After the work was done, we all ticked attendance and signed our signatures. Nobody was to sign or tick for another person and we had to have up to seventy five percent attendance before we qualify to write the semester exams.
Diego ticked his before me and when it was my turn, scrolled with my eyes to see his name, lucky that they were on the same page. Diego Royal... Was what I saw before I quickly signed and passed to the next person. Just as we came in, one by one, we walked out of the class, trying to make as little noise as possible.
"So, Diego Royal?" I couldn't help but ask as soon as we stepped out, he raised a brow and I confessed that I peeped at his name.
"Yeah, Diego Royal."
"Royal, like Royalty?" I asked amused, "are you secretly a King or Prince?"
"None," he laughed, "it's just Royal, don't know why. But if I were to be actual Royalty, I think I'd be a king."
I shook my head, "nope, can't see you with fur or a crown."
He smirked, "if you could, I bet it'll look great." He backed away, winking at me. "See you around Paxton Flynn."
I watched him go, stunned to silence. He had looked at my name too.

I laughed, "okay, that doesn't sound like an exaggeration. I could use a song like that to fall asleep right now?"
