Daniel Evans stirred, his hand searching the empty space beside him. His eyes stayed shut, lips moving slightly as if whispering in his sleep.
No! I had to get back before he noticed. If he reached out and found me gone—if he woke up and saw me with Nathan Roscente—everything would be ruined.
I fought desperately, shoving against Nathan's chest, my nails catching his cheek by accident.
His eyes flashed with fury. He grabbed my wrist, yanking me closer as he hissed through clenched teeth, "Try that again, and I'll wake Daniel up right now. Go ahead—test me."
Fear locked me in place. I shook my head wildly, my breath coming in shallow gasps.
The heat of him pressed against me through the thin fabric, searing into my skin. Against my will, my body responded—a traitorous whimper escaped my lips as tremors wracked me.
Nathan smirked, sensing my weakness. He seized my wrist and forced my hand down, making me touch him.
God, he was burning up. Instinct screamed at me to pull away, but his grip was unbreakable.
He guided my fingers along his length before prying them open and wrapping them around him.
Every nerve in my body ignited, reason dissolving into raw, primal need.
A shameful thought slithered through my mind—Why resist? I was a woman with desires. With Daniel passed out, maybe it was time to finally know what it felt like to be taken completely.
Nathan's gaze darkened with hunger as he leaned in, his voice rough. "Evelyn… you're dripping. You want this."
I bit my lip hard, refusing to admit it.
Daniel lay right there. My pulse hammered, each beat a risk of discovery. How could I even consider giving in?
My throat burned as I forced out the words, voice shaking. "Please… not here. Take me outside—anywhere but this room. I'll do whatever you want… just not with him right there."
My skin crawled as I stared at Daniel.
He slept peacefully, a faint smile on his lips. Lost in some sweet dream, completely unaware of his wife being violated just feet away.
I couldn't. Even if Nathan forced me, I wouldn't let it happen here. Never here.
Tears spilled over as I clutched at Nathan's shoulders, silently begging.
He glanced past me at Daniel, frustration twisting his expression. "That's what makes it fun. I want you here, right in front of him."
"I'll freeze up," I whispered hoarsely. "You won't enjoy it. Your car. The park. A hotel—anywhere else. I'll make it good for you. I promise."
Nathan hesitated, a slow smirk curling his lips. "Oh?"
Summoning every ounce of false courage, I rose onto my toes and brushed my lips against his. "Yes."
"Prove it," he growled. "Open your mouth. Kiss me like you mean it."
I obeyed, our tongues tangling as he crushed me against him. Fire raced through my veins, and I barely stifled another moan.
Then—a rustle from the bed.
My spine went rigid. I shoved Nathan away and spun toward Daniel.
