I stood on the porch, glaring the whole time as I watched Scarlett and Sara talking in a distance. When Sara unexpectedly showed up, my mood instantly turned sour just by seeing her face. Why did she have to follow Scarlett anyway? Did something happen between them while I wasn't around? And now that she knew everything, it just gave her more reason to keep coming on Scarlett.
When Sara touched Scarlett's arm, I gritted my teeth to keep me from hissing. I wasn't liking how close they were in the first place, I wanted to break them apart, but it wasn't like I could walk up there. I knew looking at them would get me all worked up but I couldn't just take my eyes off of Scarlett while Sara was around.
Well, it looked like I was getting possessive over Scarlett again.
I straightened my bearing when I heard someone cleared their throat then dad appeared beside me, "You're glaring the whole time, do you perhaps dislike that new girl?"
I clicked my tongue, "Dislike is an understatement,"
"Why? Did she do something to you?"
Well she's always flirting with my bodyguard and it irritates me!
"Not really," I answered with a brief smile.
"Hmmm okay. Well, can I ask you something?"
I rolled my eyes as I chuckled, "Dad, you were already asking me."
He laughed lightly while bobbing his head, "Right. Anyway, I was about to ask you if...you're into girls?" My eyes opened wide as I was clearly caught off guard by the question. Until now I hadn't told my parents about that as I wasn't sure how they would react that if I told them I was into girls also.
I forced a chuckle, although it sounded a little awkward, and shrugged, "O-Of course not dad! I only like dicks, gosh! Why would you ask me that?"
"Oh I'm sorry. I assumed you were as I noticed how you look at Scarlett..." Was I that obvious? "...But even if you do like girls, that's not a problem for me. I just want you to be happy and if that makes you happy then I'm all for it."
"Really?"
He chuckled lightly, "Yeah really, really."
My smile grew wide, "If that is so then I admit...I like vaginas too." His eyes grew wide with his mouth hung open.
"But y-you just said you only like...you know."
I chuckled, "Dicks? Yeah I said that but that was before you said you're okay with me liking girls. So thanks for being open-minded dad." I hugged him tightly, pressing my cheek to his chest while I giggled. Knowing that dad was so cool about me being a bi brought me so much joy and relief.
I felt his arms wrapped around me, giving me a comforting feeling. "So do you like Scarlett?"
Ugh, those days without Scarlett was like hell, it was boring and lonely. But during those times, I realized what I was doing was wrong. It didn't feel right to push her away just because I felt frightened around her. I became too paranoid and I needed to stop it before it would be too late.
Looking up to dad with a smile, I spoke, "Yes...I like her so much."
He gave me a lopsided grin, "Then make her yours before someone could snatch her."
"Oh I'm planning to do that. But what about mom?"
"You don't need to worry about your mom. Like me, she also wants you to be happy." I sighed in relief and clung to dad even more. He had no idea how he made me happy, I even forgot the anger and jealousy I felt earlier. Gosh, this was just great.
"Oh dad you're the best."
"And you're the best bitch of a daughter I never had."
I lightly slapped his arm and glared at him, "Hey, that was rude!" He laughed and pulled me back into his arms. Ahh God knew how much I loved this human.

"As of now we don't have any leads about the organization but I'll let you know Felix if there's any developments..." Scarlett said as I heard her faint voice downstairs while talking to my parents. I was currently on my bedroom, technically Scarlett's room, standing in front of the mirror, checking myself up before going downstairs.
As soon as I was done, I waltzed out of the room and excitedly went downstairs where everyone was talking in the living room.
"Yes you can count on that Felix. Um, we should get going now," Scarlett said, turning to Sara standing beside her.
My brows arched as i glared at her, "And you're gonna leave me again Scarlett?" They all turned their heads on my direction while I crossed my arms over my chest, looking at Scarlett with a raised brow. I couldn't believe she didn't ask me if I wanted to go with her or not, it was like she wasn't interested to talk to me, she didn't even spare me a glance after her talk with Sara. I wasn't sure if she was trying to ignore me purposely or just that she wasn't interested in me now. But whatever it was, it was enough to ruin my mood.
She looked at me, confused, "Um, what do you mean?"
I huffed in annoyance as I shook my head, "You can't leave me here again Scarlett. I wanna come with you." She looked surprised and turned her attention to my parents who were smiling at her. Yup, my parents knew I would like to go with Scarlett.
Mom cleared her throat and spoke, "I'm afraid we have to leave our stubborn daughter again in your capable hands Scarlett dear, we have to take care of some urgent business overseas so Felix and I are gonna leave tonight."
It took a moment for her to register what my mom said. "Well then, I would gladly take care of your daughter Mr. and Mrs. Cox." Scarlett looked back at me and a faint smile crept on her lips. I mirrored her expression and walked to hug my parents tight thinking that it would be days or weeks to see them again and as much as I wanted to spend more time with them, I understood that they had some things to take care of. I was okay with it though as I missed being with Scarlett.
After I bid goodbye, we headed out and strode to our vehicles in silence. I kept my excitement within knowing that I would be riding with Scarlett since Sara had her car.
"Be careful okay? We'll be right behind you," Scarlett said to Sara, touching her arm at the same time. I rolled my eyes at the sight and looked away as I didn't want to see them acting all touchy. I had never seen Scarlett so concerned about that girl before and it made me more suspicious that something happened between them. I wouldn't be surprised if they had sex while I was away. Just thinking about it made me cringe.
"Can we move along now?" I spoke sounding annoyed. They briefly glanced on my way before they turned to each other and after a moment, Sara finally walked to her car. Scarlett turned to me with a frown and I raised my brow in response. Shaking her head, she grabbed the helmet from her bike and handed it to me. But before I could take it, she pulled it back to her and looked at me with a serious expression.
"Are you sure you wanna come with me?" she asked hesitantly. Was she joking right now? Didn't she want me to come with her?
"Of course I am," I answered a little loud. She studied me for a while, narrowing her eyes as she looked at me, it was as if her eyes were searching something.
"Are you still afraid of me?"
So it was still bugging her.
I took a deep breath, shaking my head, "No... I realized I was wrong to be afraid of you when all you do was to protect me...I'm sorry for acting that way." She stayed quiet and her expression didn't change as she continued to stare at me. I let out a breath when I felt like she wasn't planning to acknowledge my apology.
And here I thought she would atleast say something, now I was looking like crap for apologizing.
"Okay then..." I mumbled and walked past her, but I didn't manage to take another step when she held my wrist. I faced her and saw her smiling wide before pulling me into a hug. I was confused at the sudden action that was why it took a moment for me to hug her back. Inhaling her scent and feeling her familiar warmth were enough to send my mind into haywire. How could I let my paranoia got the best of me? Now I felt pathetic just thinking about it.
"You're no fun as usual," she mumbled, chukling.
"I thought you were  just gonna stare me down. You know how hard it is for me to say sorry."
"Well, I'm just glad to have you back." She let me go and handed me the helmet which I gladly accepted and got on the bike after her. I wrapped my arms around her torso just like I always did, feeling a smile crept to my lips. I had no idea how much I was missing simple things like this until now and it was hitting me like a euphoria.
I felt her hand touched mine, "Hold on tight, don't let go."
"Never."

Getting off the bike, I began stretching as my body was sore from sitting for two hours and followed Scarlett inside. As soon as I stepped in, Oreo came running to my direction and I lifted him up, nuzzling his soft fur.
"Oh I miss you buddy. Where have you been all this time?" He barked, waggling his tail at the same time. Rubbing his head, I walked to the couch and sat down, opposite Sara who remained silent, refusing to make eye contact. I heard several footsteps descending the stairs and I looked up, seeing Scarlett with Violet. As soon as Violet and I met gazes, she instantly rolled her eye.
"Welcome back," Violet said sarcastically.
"No hug for me?" I goaded as I smirked.
"I only hug those I like."
"For once, we can agree to that." I noticed Scarlett shook her head before flopping down beside me. Feeling thirsty, I handed Oreo to her and got up, heading to fridge to look for some juice.
"What happened to you?" I asked when I saw Violet clutched her side when she sat.
"None of your business," she retorted.
"I'll tell you what happened later Olivia." Scarlett spoke. I smiled to her back before chugging down the lemon juice.
"You can tell us Sam- I mean Scarlett." Sara butted in. Great! Now she wants to be included.
*
"And where have you two been?" Coach Brooks hollered in an angry tone while he strode in our direction and by the looks of it, he wasn't that happy to see Scarlett and me.
"Now what?" I whispered to Scarlett who just shrugged nonchalantly. I mustered a fake smile when Coach Brook reached us, looking at us with narrowed eyes.
"Coach Brooks, you seem...fine." Scarlett's sarcastic made me roll my eyes. I knew she was trying to anger the coach and it was a nice idea, but as I looked the coach, he seemed ready to murder us, so I doubted pissing him more would end good for us. But then again, I didn't care.
I cleared my throat, "Mr. Coach... I don't think it's any of your business to know why we were absent."
He scoffed, "Let me make it clear to you Ms. Cox and Ms. Flynn. Even if you two are the captains, I'm still your coach and you should-"
"Yeah I know. So?" I butted in causing him to groan. "Look, I know you're our coach and you want us to respect you, I get it but coach, when did you see me showing respect to someone here, hells I don't even respect the principal and you're no different. All I'm saying is..." I trailed off when I saw his nostrils were now flaring, "...just no worries coach, we got this. No need for reprimands. Okay? Cool!" I added then smiled before walking past him, Scarlett trailing behind.
"Okay everyone, let's start! Get to your positions!" I yelled, getting everyone's attention. I heard few groans and clicks of tongues but thankfully they obeyed and went to their designated positions, except for one girl who was doing something that ticked me off. She was flirting with Scarlett. I walked up to them and cleared my throat causing the girl to turn around.
"Oh! Are we starting?" she asked. Now that I saw her face, I recognized her as the one who kissed Scarlett at Brad's birthday party.
"Stella right?"
"Oh it's Stephanie but you can call me Steph."
I plastered a fake smile as I rested my hands on my hips, "Well Ste-fucking-phanie, if you're done flirting with my co-captain, I suggest you get to your place now before I drag you there," I warned through gritted teeth. She immediately walked away and I looked at Scarlett who was shaking her head with a smile. I beckoned her to go to her position which she obliged with a salute. And as everything was settled, we started the practice.
The practice ended sooner than expected since we only added few steps to complete our routine. I was glad that we were done with our routine so all we would be doing starting tomorrow would be polishing the steps.
While we were changing back in our locker room, Scarlett received a text from Violet saying we meet her up in the parking lot. After we got changed, we headed immediately to the meeting place and found Violet and Sara waiting for us.
"Great! Now she's coming with us," I said as soon as they were on earshot.
"What's wrong with you Olivia? I'm here to help," Sara answered.
I rolled my eyes, "As if you're much of a help."
"Okay that's enough. Violet? Why do you want to meet up here?" Scarlett butted in, looking at Violet curiously.
She grinned, "Well...we're going to have fun tonight."
*
"Is this your kind of fun?" I asked impatiently.
"Yeah Violet, this is kind of boring." Sara spoke up beside me. For once I agreed with her.
"What are we even doing outside Elle's house? We've been sitting here for an hour and a half, my butt's killing me already. Scarlett say something." I added.
She sighed, "Just...let's just wait for another hour okay?" Well I didn't think I could last for another hour sitting beside Sara in the backseat of her car. Thankfully I didn't have to wait for another minute when a familiar car pulled up in front the house. Brad got out immediately and sat on the hood, probably waiting for Elle. A minute after, she emerged through the door and ran to kiss Brad.
"Are you seeing this?" Scarlett asked. I knew she was referring to me and all I could do was nod as I was surprised myself. Did they start seeing each other after I broke up with him? Or were they already hooking up behind my back? And if the latter was the case, I didn't know if I could face both of them without smashing their faces. One thing I didn't like the most was being cheated on.
As soon as they drove off, Violet turned to us from the driver's seat, "Okay, here's the plan. Sara and I are gonna get inside the house while you two are going to follow them..."
"Wait, what? You want me to follow my ex-boyfriend and ex-friend on their date? Are you kidding me?"
Violet glared at me, "What, you want to come with me inside the house?"
I shook my head, "Fine. Now get out of the car."
"Gladly," Sara mumbled before getting out of the car, together with Violet. Scarlett transfered to the driver's seat while I took her place in the passenger seat and without much ado, she started the engine and drove off.
It didn't take long for us to find Brad's car and after thirty minutes of tailing them, they pulled up in front of a fancy restaurant while we stopped across the building. Since the building has glass walls, we didn't have to get out of the car as we could clearly see them from our position.
Since we would be here for a while, I thought it would be nice to start a conversation. Taking a deep breath, I turned to her and spoke, "Can I ask you something?"
"Sure," she answered without looking my way.
"Did something happen between you and Sara?" If I hadn't gotten her attention earlier, now I finally had it when she immediately turned to me.
"Why would you ask that?"
"Well I feel like there's something going on between the two of you."
"N-Nothing. There's nothing going on between us."
"The fact the you stammered means there's something you're not telling me." I mustered a serious expression while eyeing her to let her know that I wasn't playing around.
"Honestly, there's nothing going on between us. We just kissed a few times, that's it, nothing more." I sighed. Even if it was a kiss, it still pricked my heart and the fact that it was for a few times, she must liked kissing her.
"Do you...like her?" She pursed her lips to a tight line and when she opened her mouth, no words came out. She averted her gaze, her one hand gripping the wheel tightly turning her knuckles white on the process.
"I don't...know," she mumbled weakly, looking down. Wow, now I was hurt, knowing that she was confused at her feelings for Sara. I would feel relieved if she had said a straight no for an answer but damn, she was now confused. Taking deep breaths, I tried to process it all, the kiss and her feelings for Sara, but it was a little too much to handle.
"Scarlett?" She didn't say a word but she turned to look at me. I took a deep breath and clenched my jaw briefly before speaking, "What if...What if I told you I like you, what would you do?"
She let out a deep breath, "W-What?"
"I like you Scarlett. I like you so much."
"Wow...I, I just-"
"You don't have to answer me right now. I'm not pressuring you darling, I'm just saying. So don't go around attracting other girls because you already have two girls liking you, well three, if you consider Violet." I said jokingly, earning a chuckle from her. Honestly, I wasn't about to lighten the mood but seeing how stressed she looked, I knew I had to give in and diffuse the situation.
"Okay boss, I'll try to tone down my charm," she replied teasingly.
The heavy atmosphere around us earlier turned to light after those little remarks and somehow we were able to get through an hour of waiting until Brad and Elle went out of the restaurant. We followed Brad's car once again as they headed to the opposite direction where we came from. Brad pulled up his car in front of a jewelry store and Elle got out and after giving him flying kisses, the car drove off leaving her alone.
I turned to look at Scarlett who seemed confused at what we saw. It was weird but okay, maybe Elle knew someone who was working at the store or maybe she had something pick up. But then, shouldn't she let Brad wait for her? But maybe their date ended early?
As we waited anxiously for about five minutes, a black sedan car pulled up in front of Elle. A woman got out of the car immediately pulling Elle into a hug. Before they went in, the woman look around and when she looked in our direction, I immediately recognized her. I couldn't recognize her earlier as her hair was pulled in a bun and it was on a darker shade but when I saw her face, there was no doubt she was the one who almost killed Scarlett.
Scarlett and I looked at each other and spoke at the same time.
"Red."
