Since the attack last night, I wasn't planning to let Olivia out of my sight  anymore. Whoever attacked her was going to strike again when she's left vulnerable which I couldn't let it to happen. Her attacker has skills but she wasn't that excellent and for a killer, she was out of focus and easily distracted and I was thankful for it since it bought me time to save Olivia in time.
I admit, I got distracted last night when Sara called me. Yes, I gave her my number since I was getting worried that someone might hurt her for getting involved with me. Although few people knew my identity, I couldn't just let my guard down. For the past few days, we had gotten close which I didn't intend to but as time passed, I felt comfortable with her. When I gave her my number, I instructed her to only call me if she was in danger or if there was an emergency, which earned me a curious look from her. With a silent reply to her curiosity, she just let it slip and smiled. So when I was on my duty last night, looking out for Olivia, I was surprised when she called. Thinking that it was an emergency, I immediately answered it and found myself controlling my anger when she told she just called me because she wanted someone to talk to.
The call distracted me last night which almost costed Olivia's life. That was why I didn't leave her house until morning to make sure she was safe and it seemed like I couldn't get some sleep when I saw her came out of her house. I couldn't tell if she remembered everything that happened last night but maybe she didn't since she just went out like no one had attempted to kill her last night.
I was currently tailing her while she was maneuvering her car through the highway. Although I felt like a zombie, I didn't mind it as long as I could still protect Olivia. Yeah, I needed sleep, a long dreamless sleep which I was planning to do before she decided to come out of her house and God knows where she was planning to go. Why can't she just stay at her house! She parked her car at at the parking lot and got out.
Unbelievable!
After what happened last night, she still had the audacity to go shopping. Maybe it was all just a bad dream for her. After parking my ducati, I followed her but keeping a distance so she wouldn't notice me. She met with her friend Elle inside and together, they started shopping. Ugh, girls and their riches!
It took them forever to even choose a single clothing and it was killing me to continue following them when I was barely keeping myself awake so I decided to look for a coffee shop. I knew it was risky to leave her even if she was with Elle and we were inside the mall but what was more risky was if I wouldn't be able to protect her because I was freaking sleepy. Luckily, it didn't take long for me to find a coffee shop where I immeediately bought one cup and drank it without second thought.
I went back after to where I had left the two girls and fortunately they hadn't left the shop while I was away. The rest of the afternoon was spent shopping, I mean following the girls while they were shopping. In my entire spy life, I had never experienced being so bored while on mission. Frankly, I thought of leaving the two but my conscience wouldn't let me if something bad would befall to them.
Olivia and Elle parted ways before they came out the mall. Olivia sashayed her way to her car, bringing few shopping bags while I also walked over to my bike. It didn't take long before we were on the highway again and in no time we reached her house. Well, I reached her house first as I drove past her when we were getting near so that I could check at her house before she could come in just to make sure. When I was sure that it was safe, I sneaked out just in time her car rolled in front.
When I was sure that she was settled inside, I walked across the street and reached my temporary house. It was a huge house that had been vacant for almost five years and people were too afraid to buy this house since rumor has that this was haunted. Imagine the coincidence! This made my job easier. Once I got into my bedroom, I instantly flopped down on my bed hoping to sleep even for a while until the party. The security alarms for this house and Olivia's had been activated so it lessened my worry of intruders. Clearing my head, I closed my eyes and soon after I drifted to sleep.

Feeling the side of the bed moved, I instantly grabbed my gun under the pillow and pointed it to my side, ready to pull the trigger. I let out the breath I was holding when I saw the stray dog that Olivia had found, laying down on his belly.
"I almost shot you little pup," I said, rubbing his head. He was wagging his tail while sticking his tongue out. "What should I call you? Hmmm...how about Oreo? You like it?" as if he understood, he barked and playfully licked my face. "Good. Now come on Oreo, I want some Oreo cookies." Glancing at the clock on the nightstand which read 06:24 pm, I got off the bed, Oreo running behind, I went downstairs.
After eating some Oreos and feeding Oreo, I jogged back upstairs and changed for the party. Although I wasn't invited, I had no choice but to go since Olivia would surely be there for it was her boyfriend's birthday. I decided to wear a black fit crop top and black tight jeans and of course my black hoodie jacket. I intentionally wore all black so that I could easily blend in the night. When I was done checking myself at the mirror, I walked to the window and watched at Olivia's, luckily she hasn't gone yet.
Like earlier, I tailed her car until she reached her destination. I wasn't sure if this was Brad's house as I only saw his apartment but I was still glad that he decided to have his party here. If it was on his apartment, I would be having a hard time sneaking in and out. People were already buzzing and drinking outside the house when we arrived. I parked my bike near a tree across the street and out of plain sight. Looking around, I surveyed the area and noticed that this place was too quiet for my liking, except the party, and there were just few houses in the neighborhood. After a thirty minutes of surveying the front and back of the house, I went back to my place, near my bike and watched from afar.
I wonder what's Olivia doing inside.
Opening my jacket, I let my toned abs put on display and pulled down my hood before walking towards the party. Some students glanced at me as I went inside but I didn't mind as long as Olivia or Brad wouldn't see me then I was good. Once inside, I easily spotted the two making out on the couch. I didn't know why but everytime I saw them making out, it grossed me out. I just didn't like watching Olivia kissing Brad.
Not wanting to look at them for long, I turned to look for some drinks but stopped midway when a red plastic cup blocked my view. I looked past the cup and saw a blonde girl held out the beer to me which I gladly took seconds after. I remembered her from our cheerleading squad, as I recalled, her name was Stephanie but everyone called her Steph.
"So how do you find this party?" she asked after I gulped a mouthful of my beer.
"Lame!"
"Huh, didn't expect that. So how was your first week in school?"
"Lame!"
She chuckled, "Come on, is there anything you can say aside from lame?" I shook my head and sipped at my beer. "I can tell that you're bored, what can I do to entertain you?" she whispered flirtatiously.
"Nothing."
"Awww, I know you have something in mind. Tell me."
I sighed, "Like I said, there's no-" Before I could finish, her lips crashed into mine. Her tongue slipped into my mouth as I was still daze from what she did. I let go of the cup and pushed her slowly. She parted, leaving me breathless from her kiss.
"God, you taste so good," she complimented.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" I asked angrily.
"I wanted to do that since I first saw you."
"You're drunk, you should go home."
She cupped my face with her hands, "Will you come home with me?"
I held her hands and brought them down, "Never, so stop this and go home before you get wasted." I saw movements on my peripheral vision which made me turned to look at Olivia's direction. I saw her looking at my direction also, narrowing her eyes as if to get a clear view. Acting out of instinct, my hands immediately cupped Steph's face and crashed my lips into hers. I shifted to the side so that Steph's back was obstructing Olivia from seeing me.
Although I felt a pang of guilt using Steph just so I wouldn't get caught. I was like giving her false hope which wasn't my intention. She deepened the kiss and after a moment, her tongue slipped to my mouth just like earlier. As much as I wanted to push her, I couldn't to keep the act. But deepened kiss didn't last long when someone broke us apart. I looked up to see who it was and realized that it was Olivia, a surprised look was written on her face. Before she could react, I slipped past Steph's hold and immediately jogged away from them. I heard Olivia called from behind but I didn't look back.
"Opps, excuse me. Sorry..." shoving past people on the way, I made it outside and pulled my hood back on then zipped my jacket up. I ran across the street and reached my bike within seconds. Blending in with the darkness and hiding behind a tree, I watched Olivia from afar while she crossed the street, probably looking for me. I was confused as to why she would chase me this far, it wasn't like she had something to do with me.
"Shit!" she hissed as she raked her hair. I stood still as she was looking near to where I was hiding. If I made a slightest move right now, she would definitely discover me.
"Hey Liv come on," Brad shouted from across.
"Yeah," she responded. "Oh Samantha, how did you just disappeared?" she said before walking away. I let out the breath I didn't know I was holding when she was out of earshot. Why was she looking for me?
She looked at my direction for one last time before crossing. I watched her walked back but my attention shifted from her walking figure to her right when I heard a speeding car zooming and swerving towards her. Without second thought, I found myself running to her in the middle of the street and immediately pulled her body towards me before the car bumped into us. I felt like the air escaped my lungs at the sudden impact and then we both rolled against the pavement. Pain erupted throughout the side of my body where the car hit me as soon as I stopped rolling. Luckily, I got to Olivia just seconds before and shielded her with my body. Fortunately, the car wasn't going too fast or else I would totally be dead and Olivia would be hurt worse. I thought it was just another attempt but I was wrong when the driver went out of the car, looking shock to see us.
Looking up at Olivia who was laying a little distant from me, I slowly lifted myself up, groaning in pain from my side and the dizziness I felt. I might had fractured my ribs from the impact. Olivia coughed and groaned as she tried to move which relieved me for a bit. Not wanting the people to see me, I forced myself to stand up and made my way to my bike, limping. Shouts and several crunching boots approached our way but I wasn't that worried because I was almost out of sight. Although some of them saw me, I doubted that they would come after me.
Leaning on the tree, I watched them as they helped Olivia on her feet. She looked fine, just few scratches and bruises as far as I could make out, although by the looks of it, she was a little shaken. Minutes after, an ambulance arrived and carried Olivia away to the hospital. As soon as the ambulance drove away, I carefully moved to my bike and put on my helmet. I wanted to follow the ambulance but I decided not to because my body wouldn't let me to have a long ride and also, I was positive that no harm would come to her as long as Brad was with her. I would just secretly visit her tomorrow, but for now, I needed a long dreamless sleep and hopefully a painless one.
