The Everlyn couple were pressed into chairs by bodyguards, their faces deathly pale.
Elliot stood before them, his eyes cold as ice.
"Where is Marina Everlyn?" He gritted his teeth, asking word by word.
Caroline's lips trembled as she struggled to speak: "That girl took the money and left! Thirty million, not a penny less! She's been difficult since childhood, and now her wings have grown strong—she doesn't even respect her parents..."
"Shut up!" Elliot slammed the table, his voice shaking the entire room. "It's not your place to judge my wife!"
Just then, his assistant hurried in, handing Elliot a stack of documents.
"Mr. Sinclair, I found everything."
Elliot opened the file, and with each page he read, his expression grew darker.
Marina had been abandoned to the countryside from birth. For over twenty years, her parents never visited her once, didn't even provide living expenses—she could only survive on her grandparents' meager savings.
At age five, Marina had a high fever of 40 degrees Celsius. Her grandmother called frantically for help all night, but Caroline hung up directly. The doctor said if they'd arrived ten minutes later, it could have been fatal...
Isabelle had lavish birthday parties every year, while Marina didn't even have a decent winter coat...
"Good. Very good." Elliot's voice was dangerously chilling. He violently threw the documents at the Everlyn couple's faces. "How can parents like you exist in this world?"
David winced as the papers hit his face, still making excuses: "We gave birth to her and raised her to this age—isn't that enough?"
"Raised her?" Elliot grabbed David by the collar. "Every piece of clothing she wore before eighteen was hand-me-downs from neighbors! What did you treat her as? A tool for marriage substitution?"
He suddenly released his grip and barked at the bodyguards: "Lock them in the basement and 'take care' of them. They can come out when they're ready to tell the truth."
"Elliot Sinclair! How dare you!" Caroline shrieked. "We are Marina's parents!"
Elliot laughed coldly: "Now you remember you're her parents?"
As the bodyguards roughly dragged them away, the study door suddenly burst open.
Isabelle rushed in, her face pale: "Elliot Sinclair! Have you lost your mind? Let my parents go!"
Elliot looked at her coldly: "Finally dropping the act? Isabelle."
Isabelle's body stiffened, then she screamed hysterically: "Yes! I'm Isabelle Everlyn! So what? That bitch never should have married you! She's just some country girl—why should she..."
"Slap!"
A harsh slap struck her face. Isabelle staggered backward, covering her cheek in disbelief.
"That slap was for your sister." Elliot's eyes were sinister. "You Everlyns are more disgusting than the last."
Isabelle suddenly burst into maniacal laughter: "Hahaha... Elliot Sinclair, what's with this act of deep love now? How did you treat her these three years? Made her sleep in the guest room, brought other women home, even threw her in an ice lake for Phoebe Evans!"
She narrowed her eyes maliciously: "Stop pretending, Elliot! You think you love my sister? She left and you didn't even notice—you don't know her at all!"
Elliot's breathing caught, his chest feeling like it had been struck by a sledgehammer.
"Where is she?" His voice was terrifyingly hoarse.
Isabelle wiped the blood from her mouth and smiled: "You'll never find her."
Elliot suddenly grabbed her throat, but when he saw her face gradually turning purple, he suddenly lost strength.
It was a face identical to Marina's.
"Get out." He turned away, his voice exhausted and cold. "Don't let me see you again."
Isabelle collapsed on the floor, gasping for air but still laughing: "You deserve this... Elliot Sinclair..."
Elliot didn't look back.
His phone suddenly vibrated—a text from an unknown number:
【Mr. Sinclair, found a clue. Miss Everlyn bought a ticket to Coastal Town, California two weeks ago.】
Elliot's pupils contracted sharply.
【Book me the earliest flight immediately.】
