"l suppose l am the unlucky brother who has to deal with your craziness today " Alex said when he noticed me standing at the threshold of his room and l laughed.
"Liar liar, you're just honored that your room is being graced by royalty "l said sitting opposite him on his study desk.
"Well what can l do for her royal highness "he said reaching for me to ruffle my hair and l whined at his childishness.
"When last did you come see your sister" l said raising an eyebrow at him. After living together for two years it's just like we kinda drifted apart when we got back and just moved on.
"l've just been busy with college but we can hang out anytime you want " he said smiling genuinely at me and l couldn't help but melt at the look he gave.Alex is truly my hero out of all my brothers because he survived the worst with me and for that l will forever put him on a pedestal.
"l want to go to high school " l blurted out. By the look Ales gave me, he was genuinely surprised.
"l thought you were happy being homeschooled he said closing his book and turning his attention to me.
"Am tired of being afraid, l just want to be normal and live my life " l said and he held my hands.
"There's nothing wrong about not being normal or should l say being different and being normal is not in our cards Bella but whatever you do l'll support you" he said and l smiled at him.
"What do you mean by saying being normal is not in our cards" l ask tilting my head because am confused by what he said but he just shakes his head patting my cheek.
"So did dad agree" he asks even though he hasn't answered my question.
"He hasn't but if he is stubborn then l am his daughter " l say looking at him sternly and l see my brother shudder.
"You really are your father's daughter " he said looking at me while lost in his thoughts and l look at him in confusion.
"You have the same look in your eyes that he has when he wants something." He continued and l couldn't help but smile. Being compared to dad made me feel super special and like a belong.
"Enough about my exciting and adventurous life, tell me about yours because we haven't spoken in a while" l said and he just shrugged but l didn't let that deter me as l looked at him expectantly.
"There's nothing really, just college "he said and l frowned at his lack of elaboration.
"Don't look at me like that, am not avoiding talking to you but there's really nothing to tell" he said pinching my chin to make me smile but l felt like we were losing each other so l couldn't give him a smile back.
"You sure" l said looking at him sadly and he nodded smiling at me which in turn made me sigh in contempt-meant.
After Alex and l talked we went for dinner, dad even told the rest of my brothers that l was going to be going to school and it was really nice because Elena wasn't there to bother me. l even convinced Leone to let me sleep in his room so that we had a pajama party ,he was reluctantly but he finally relented.
My nerves were killing when l was getting ready for school moreover l was alone in my room so l couldn't help but fear that Elena could come anytime and do something to me since l hadn't spoken to dad about the whole baby thing but the truth is that life didn't know how to discuss such a thing with dad. l just didn't know where to start.
"First day jitters" Leone said bagging into my room without being invited and l smiled at him.
"l feel nauseous and sick "l explained to him and he placed his hand on my forehead.
"Your temperature feels fine Rosa so just breathe because today is your day and l have no doubt you're gonna smash it " he said reassuring me and l felt a little better while talking to him.
"What if no one likes me" l murmured while he was fixing my tie , he held me shoulders and l looked at him.
"You're gonna be great kiddo" he said but that didn't ease my worry for this day. Why did l want to do this.
"Just tell them you're my sister and the De-Luca princess and they'll swam all over you" he said giving me his characteristic smirk and l nodded slightly as he pulled me to the living room where everyone was gathered to see me off. Talk about dramatic.
"Look at my princess" dad said looking at me affectionately and l smiled walking over to give him a hug.
"Knock them dead little one" Elonzo said when l hugged him and l laughed.
After we had breakfast Elonzo and the twins left for work. Alex left for college and dad was dropping me at school.
"If you need anything just go to the office and have them call me" dad said as we stepped out of the car.
My heart was beating rapidly when l saw many school kids going in the school and dad squeezed my shoulder reassuringly and l smiled at him.
"Just breathe, l promise nothing and no one is going to hurt you "he said and wrapped his arms around me. Some parents who had come to drop their kids off were now staring at dad and l looked at him questioningly.
"Pecks of being the queen my little princess "he said pulling me towards the building l was dreading.
"Mr De-Luca "l middle aged man wearing a suit said smiling at my dad when we were at the door of an office written Principal. l noticed that he wasn't the only person in the office rather there were about 6 people. l looked down in fear but dad tugged my hand.
"Mr Moreno " dad said in a different tone than am used to hearing him use.
"l hope everything has been prepared for my daughter's presence " when dad spoke the people inside looked uncomfortable and it made me wonder because dad was extremely kind and soft hearted.
"Everything is in order sir- l mean Mr De-Luca" A woman who was probably in her early 30s said and dad nodded but with zero interest.
"Moreno l told you about my daughter's condition on the phone so make sure there are no mistakes " dad said and the one l assume to be Mr Moreno nodded vigorously like he was afraid of dad.
"We will take care of her Mr De-Luca" another man in the room said.
"Take care of yourself princess and if anyone bothers you then don't worry dad will take care of them" dad said crouching in front of me and l wrapped my arms around his neck.
"l will " l whispered.
"Don't be afraid of anybody rather they should be afraid of you" dad said rather loudly.
"Love you " l said when he pulled away.
