" I guess that hasn't changed." I said, looking at alexa's retreating figure.
" I don't even want to think about it, but I am super happy to have you home." Alex said, kissing my forehead.
" damn we have to call Leonardo he won't even believe it." Leone said, looking around for what l assume as his phone.
" I think we've been too happy to have an ask how you got here, and why didn't you tell us you were coming." Alex said as we sat down and l sighed.
" I thought I should just come and surprise you guys." l lied.
" it doesn't matter how big you grow, Rosabella. we can still tell if you're lying." Alex said.
"Who dropped you off, and why didn't you come with dad." Leone kept asking questions that l didn't want to answer.
" How about we have a proper conversation when I'm rested? l had a very long day, and I just want to sleep." I do want to sleep, and I also want to call Killian, l'm not sure if he's already on the plane, but I really do want to talk to him before he goes.
" Of course, we have a lot of time to catch up." Alex smiled warmly.
" I'll make you something to eat while you freshen up." Leone said, standing up.
" Let me walk you up." Alex said, linking our hands together, and we walked upstairs.
" If that is a dream, then I don't want to wake up."He said.
" I miss you too, Alex, and I hope you didn't get into any trouble while I was away." l joked, and he laughed.
" I'm your older brother, and I'm the one who's supposed to ask you that, but I know you wouldn't get it to any trouble." Oh, you have no idea, brother.
When he opened the door to my room, I gasped. It wasn't the exact ways that I left it, but it was just as beautiful.
" We decorated it so that it fits somebody your age, not a teenager." I literally wanted to bawl out. this is what love feels like, and this is what family is like, but I never got to experience all of this because of someone or the other.
" I love you." I missed them, and to be with them seems sureal.
"Okay, okay, now go freshen up and get some rest." He said, pulling away from me.
My room was painted cream, and it looked magnificent. They were a nice fashionable table and chair at the corner and in the middle a nice-looking bed with perfectly decorated pillows. The mirror against the wall was supported by a stand packed accessories on top.
I know I'm rich, and I should be used to seeing these things, but it's still comes as a shock.
the room wasn't the highlight because when I opened the walk-in closet, I was humbled.
I don't think there is a clothing brand that is missing, and it was packed.
I don't know when they did all of this, and I imagine it must have been very hard to do this for somebody who you don't know when she might come back.
I opened the bathroom next, and oh boy, talk about classy.
I decided to just take a shower because it's quicker, and I'm just a little overwhelmed.
When l went back inside the room, l found a plate on top of the table, and the smell had me salivating when l opened it.
Nonna wanted us to fit in back there to a point where I missed Italian food and just smelling this chicken parmesan felt like home.
I completely forgot about my phone in all the drama that I have been experiencing, which means that I will have to buy a phone and actually find Killian's number before I talk to him.
The softness of the bed and the feeling of just being in my own bed had me out within a few seconds when I got undercovers.
Just like every time when I close my eyes, all I could see was Chase. I saw my face when I drove that knife into him. The funny thing is that I didn't regret, nor did I think it twice before doing it.
I woke up with somebody holding my hands, and I squeezed their hand back. I opened my eyes, and it was my brother.
" Hey, beautiful." Brothers may be overprotective and overbearing, but you can never lose your confidence or self-esteem with them.
I know they say it because I'm their sister, but I could never believe anybody who says I'm ugly because they tell me how beautiful I am whenever they can.
" You don't look shabby yourself, Leo." I don't know where he was, but I knew he would run here as soon as he heard about my arrival.
" Are you okay." he asked, and I nodded.
" Do you still have nightmares." he looked super worried.
" No, I don't."
" You were screaming in your sleep, Bella, and I know when you're lying." He said and sighed.
" My past doesn't give me nightmares anymore. I've learned to accept it for what it is, but this time, my actions are catching up with me, not my past." I don't want him to feel guilty that whatever happened still haunts me.
" Care to elaborate." He said, and l shook my head.
" Dad will explain everything to you." I said, standing up, and he hugged me. All my brothers' hugs feel like home. they make everything better.
" Let me wash my face, and we can go downstairs." I can't wait to be with my whole family.
Leonardo and l walked into the living room hand in hand, and everyone turned to look at us.
My daddy and Elonzo had arrived, and we were a complete family except for 2 other boys that l didn't know.
"Meet your other brothers, Rosabella."
