" there is really nothing to tell about Killian except the fact that he is doing me a favor because just like my brother I got up to no good and it has come to bite me in the ass." I said because I know my family and I know that we don't keep secrets from each other.
" you did what anybody in your position would have done and I'm proud of you." my nonno said but my dad was definitely not impressed.
" you're spoiling her." he said to him but the truth of the matter is that Dad spoils me more than anybody.
" and why not? I'm not sure if you've noticed yet but she's the only granddaughter that I have in the whole wide world." nonno said kissing my cheeks.
My brothers and l shared a side eye because Alexandra is there and no matter how much my family doesn't like to acknowledge her presence, she is still a part of our family and she will always be.
We all went and sat in the living room. I obviously sat on my dad is lap because no matter the age. I am still a daddy's girl.
" now that the introductions have happened, we still have to talk about the most important thing, which is the wedding and what is expected of us." I love my aunt but she just put me in the spot yet again.
" there's nothing expected of anybody. Killian and I would really appreciate something small and intimate." We haven't talked about what kind of wedding we want but I'm sure he doesn't want a big deal because he's just doing me a favor and I feel the exact same way.
" unfortunately that's not how things work around here Rosa." Elonzo said and I was already dreading whatever he was going to say.
" this wedding is also a union between two mafias so it is a big deal because every allies of us has to be there." I think it will take me quite a lot of time to understand this whole mafia thing but I'm in for it because I don't think I will be able to escape this life after marriage.
" does that mean they will be there." I asked because I'm pretty sure everybody knows who they are but my dad arrived my arms to comfort me.
I know everybody thinks that I'm fragile because I just murdered somebody but I don't know why it just doesn't bother me that much.
" they are not our allies any longer so they won't be in attendance but I think it would be a really nice thing if we extended the invitation just so they can see that they are no match against you anymore." he said.
Being around my brother, my uncles and my cousins just gives me strength and I know I can take on the whole world with them by my side.
" I do think you're making a mistake with wedding Rosa. I wanted you to marry for love because you deserve it more than anybody but now you will have to marrry for circumstances." my nonno said and I really don't want him to feel like I'm unhappy with this so I decided to share my feelings with everybody.
" I want lie and say that this wedding is strictly for protection because it's so much more. I know you don't approve of this but Killian lian and I were in a relationship before I left and I still feel the same way for him." l said.
everybody else was just looking at me with a bit of Disapproval but my aunt were just grinning from ear to ear and I love them for it.
" I didn't think you had it in you Rosa but I'm glad." Aunt Ara said earning a glare from my dad.
" I think you've honestly disappointed us a bit by saying that because we thought you knew that school was only school and not trying to find boys but you've always made us proud so we'll forgive you for this one." I really love my uncle's because they can never get angry at me and they always fold.
" I wish you would say the same about me Dad but I know if the table's way turned then I would be in hot oil." Xander said. my cousins and my brothers are under the impression but my uncle's and my dad loves me more and unfortunately they're right because I'm always forgiven and I always come first.
" stay out of trouble and you will be treated the exact same way." my nonno glared at them and they immediately behaved.
" I know you've met your father's new wife and as much as I like her for him, you always come first. if anything happens and I mean absolutely anything, please tell me and I will handle it." I don't think he was that crazy and courageous to talk in front of her but I think it was a way to show her what would happen if she were to mess with me.
" of course I'll talk to you. l made a mistake once but I've learned from my mistakes and I won't try to be a hero rather I will ask for help when I need it." l said.
I don't even know why my dad had to get married again but it is life and I have no right to make decisions for him.
" I do want to know about my mom though." nobody talks about her in this house anymore and I know she has done some pretty twisted things to us but she is still our mother.
" there's nothing to know about mom except the fact that she's alive and the next time I checked she found a really rich man to swindle." Elonzo said it's quite clear that he is still bitter towards her.
