Everything has changed but I think our bond will last forever. I want lie and say that I expected things to go the way they did between us because I didn't even say goodbye to her but I'm glad she's not holding it against me because I was hurting.
" I know why you're looking at me like that but you don't have to explain anything to me because I get it." I understand when most people tell me that they get it because they think that they understand what I went through but it's different with Fallon because she's looking at me with the exact same pain that is reflecting in my eyes.
"What happened to you." despite everything that has gone by I can tell but she went through something traumatic and I want to support her and be there for her.
" one day when I'm ready I'll tell you all about it but for now I want to celebrate the fact that you're going to be my sister-in-law." I haven't met fallon's father but he raised an amazing son and an awesome daughter so he must be a good man despite his occupation.
" I have less than a week to plan the perfect wedding and I can only think of one person that I Want by my side on every moment of this planning and that person is none other than my maid of honor. YOU." my intention wasn't to make her cry because she was now bawling in front of me but I'm glad they're tears of joy.
" let's make the perfect wedding." she nodded and l smiled.
I spent almost half my day with Fallon and Elonzo was repetitively calling me but I ignored it his calls because this was really important to me.
I really don't want people to think that I got the job because I'm family and not because I'm capable of being a good lawyer but it doesn't change the fact that I'm Rosa Bella DeLuca.
I was a little scared of my brother giving me an earful about being late but as long as my dad is here then I don't have to fear anything and let's be honest I can bat my eyes and my brother will probably forget to scold me. Pecks of being the family princess.
I was utterly impressed by the building even before I could enter and it's just living proof that my family is monied.
you can smell the class just a entering because it's just amazing inside. I think I was most amazed by the fact that everybody seemed to know me the moment I entered. I don't know if they saw a picture of me or something but people were basically bowing like I was some real life princess.
" Mr De Luca's office upstairs ma'am." I didn't even ask the receptionist but that's what I got and I thanked her and went to the lift.
I even forgot to ask her which Mister De Luca she was talking about because I know a lot of them but she seemed genuinely scared of me and I didn't want to scare her any further.
the upstairs was beyond words and you can just tell that everybody who works here knows what they are doing and they are one of the best.
To my surprise the person in front of me was none of them than Alexa.
" Elonzo is not impressed with you even a bit." she said and I know she means well but I couldn't help but get a little cheeky.
" Elonzo is my brother and he can never get angry with me." I said to her honestly because as soon as I get inside that office my brother will forget that he is angry at me.
" I know and I'm sorry. let me lead you to his office." She said and l followed behind her.
When we stood in front of his office the only thing on my mind was doing the right thing with Alexa because I was really rude to her and it was unnecessary.
" I'm jealous that you got to spend all this time with them and I know it's not your fault and I'm just taking it out on you but please bear with me and I'm really sorry for the way l treated you." I said to her because I'm not the type of person who will go behind your back or plot behind you instead of telling you the truth because I really am jealous of her.
I'm jealous that she now knows them more than me. I'm jealous because she was their sister in my absence and that's time I can never get back but it is not her phone and she doesn't deserve the hostile treatment I give her.
" you're jealous of me." She asked. I think I took her by surprise because she's always been the jealous one but I admitted to her that I'm also jealous of her.
" I've always been jealous of the love that they give you. I spent my whole childhood with them but our relationship never got to the point that yours is in because they love you purely and I've never seen something like that in my life." she said and l hugged her.
" I'm sure they love you as well but if you spend more time jealous of me then you'll never see that love." I said to her because I know how she's been feeling ever since I got back and I don't want her to get to the point where she starts plotting against me because it will only go bad for her.
" I think this is one of them purest conversations that we've had in a really long time."she said and I agree.
Alexa will never go through what I went through but I think she will always be the person who understands me the most because it has always been about us and our Birth.
