Marco Valentino grabbed the door handle and pulled—only to find it locked from the outside. No matter how hard he yanked, it didn't give an inch.
"What the hell?"
He turned back, confusion plastered across his face.
"Maybe the handle's jammed. I'll call a nurse," Vivian Lowell said, reaching for the call button.
Then—bang—the door flew open.
There I stood, staring them down. Their faces froze in pure shock.
And that wasn't even the best part.
I'd made sure to invite her parents, aunts, uncles—hell, even some of my own cousins. The whole damn family was here.
And they'd heard everything.
My cousins were the first to move. They lunged at Marco like wild dogs, slamming him to the ground before laying into him with fists flying.
"You homewrecking piece of trash!"
"Got no shame? Talking like that in front of decent people?"
Even Vivian's relatives, red-faced with humiliation, jumped in, throwing punches of their own.
Vivian screamed, trying to claw her way between them, but the mob swallowed her whole.
Ten minutes later, the two of them sat crumpled on the floor—clothes torn, faces swollen, skin littered with bruises and scratches. A pathetic sight.
Exactly as planned.
I'd worried Vivian's parents might hold back, so I'd told my cousins to go in swinging. As long as nobody died, even the cops wouldn't care.
The law doesn't punish a mob.
Besides, catching cheaters red-handed? A little "excessive force" was practically expected.
Marco's eyes were swollen shut, his face clawed raw. Someone had even nailed him twice in the groin. He howled like a wounded animal, threatening to call the police.
Big mistake.
That just earned him another beating.
I smirked.
His injuries looked brutal, but legally? Not even close to serious.
Vivian's parents stood there, expressions darker than storm clouds, emotions twisted up inside.
I met their gaze, then flicked a glance at Vivian, still sprawled on the floor. "We're getting a divorce," I said coldly. "You walk away with nothing. Lily stays with me. End of story."
The second the word "divorce" left my lips, Vivian panicked.
"What? Ethan, have you lost your mind? I won't agree to this! Why should I get nothing? No way in hell!"
"Because you cheated," I snapped. "Because you're shameless. Because of every disgusting thing you've done."
Her father hesitated, then stepped forward. "Ethan, you've had your revenge. Vivian messed up, but she's still Lily's mother. Just… scold her, punish her—we won't stop you. But don't throw away the marriage."
I shook my head. "No forgiveness. Cheating isn't a 'mistake.' And honestly? She's too filthy for me to stomach."
Her mother scoffed. "Fine, divorce her then! My daughter's beautiful—she'll remarry in a heartbeat. But you split the assets. She deserves compensation!"
I almost laughed.
Instead of arguing, I sent them the evidence—screenshots of their texts, photos, videos. The kind that left no room for doubt.
The moment they saw it, their faces drained of color.
They'd thought it was just a simple affair, caught in the act.
But they never expected this much filth.
