You had been exiled to the couch.
After spending the whole day with Peter and denying Nat any attention all day, she banished you the couch for the night, so you could think about what you'd done. You had deprived her of your affection and neglected her services and when you came to bed wanting cuddles, she wasn't having any of it. She grabbed a pillow and a spare blanket and chucked them at you, along with a pair of pyjamas and sent you on your way. You whined but you obeyed, not wanting to worsen your punishment by any means. She didn't even give you a goodnight kiss. What a bitch.
You trudged down the hallway, pillow and blanket in one hand, pyjamas in the other. You head hung low and you huffed at the thought of your girlfriends pettiness. Yes, you deserved it. She had made you breakfast that day, when she did the compounds shopping she made sure to pick up some extra bits just for you, she brought you water when you wanted it, but you barely even said a thank you, never mind a kiss or even a hug. You were too busy playing Minecraft with Peter. You were determined to beat the Enderdragon but it took a long time and you both kept dying.
Sometimes she came over and sat with you, to which you'd just ignore her. She'd ask if you wanted food and you wouldn't answer. She would even sit in your lap and try and tempt you to spend just 5 minutes giving her some sort of affection. Nothing. You didn't give her the time of day. You had told her that morning that you would be spending the day with Peter and she shrugged it off saying that she didn't need to spend the day with you; but she couldn't. She was clingier than she let off. Technically your pre-warning meant that she was not in the right mind to make you sleep on the couch because you told her that you were going to be on Minecraft all day, but that didn't stop her.
As you made your way down the halls you passed several people who all laughed at you sympathetically, knowing exactly what had happened and that you were to be sleeping on the couch tonight. It wasn't a rare occurrence in your relationship. Sharing a room meant that arguments and disputes normally ended this way.
(Walking past Steve)
"What did you do now Y/N?" He chuckled.
"Can it Rogers, I just played Minecraft."
"Suuurreeee"
(Walking past Wanda)
"Uh oh. That's the second time this month!" She giggled.
"Shut up Wanda, I don't wanna hear about it."
"Okay, grumpy pants."
(Walking past Tony)
"Let m-"
"Not a fucking word Tinman, I'm not in the mood."
He held his hands up in defence and moved on.
(Walking past Peter)
*He just bursts out laughing*
"Not funny, it's your fault."
"WHAT! Nuh uh. Shouldn't have neglected your girlfriend like that."
You just smirk and roll your eyes and carry on moving.
You finally made it to the couch and laid out your blanket and placed the pillow down. You began getting changed into the PJ's Nat had handed you. Ugh, they were your own clothes. You can't even remember the last time you wore your own clothes to bed, you always wore hers.
You settled down and got comfortable and finally drifted off to sleep. Back up in your room, Nat had started to feel guilty. Having you sleep on the couch affected her too. She was missing out on cuddles, something she had been deprived of all day. She didn't let herself give in, and she laid down and tried to get some sleep.
She woke up at around 1am, sad that she didn't have your warm body to cuddle up with and that's when she snapped. She was done being stubborn. In a huff, she got up and made her way down to the living room where you were situated on the couch. She lifted up the covers and crawled under, snuggling up to you so that you were face-to-face. You had started to talk in your sleep; aware of her presence in your dream. You were half way between reality and the dreamworld; half asleep, half awake.
"N-Natasha?"
"Hi, baby." she cooed quietly, kissing your soft lips gently.
"I knew you'd give up." You smirked, eyes still shut.
"Oh. Shut. Up." She said, pressing a kiss on your lips between each word.
"Tasha?"
"Mhm?" She was still littering kisses all over your cheeks and chin and in the corners of your mouth.
"I love you."
"I love you more." She said placing a much more lingering kiss on your lips.
"No I love you more." You giggled.
"Nuh uh. I love YOU more." She just couldn't stop covering you in kisses. You were too sweet when you were like this. You giggled at the tickling sensation.
"Goodnight my sweet girl." she cooed.
"Night Tasha."
"Na-night my love."
And with that, and the help of a few more pecks, the two of you drifted off to sleep in each other's arms.
