Jungkook stumbled across the threshold and closed the door behind him. He took a deep breath and slumped on the floor in the hallway. He felt tired, and the thought of having to wake up early in the morning for school made him want to stay right there on the floor forever.
One minute longer in his presence and I would totally pass out...
He grabbed his books from the floor and dragged his tired body into his room. It was very late, he left his phone back in his room, when he was at Taehyung's apartment and now he found one missed call... From Yugyeom?
Oh Gyomie, I wish you were here now and save me from this... Strange things keep happening to me... The secrets Taehyung-hyung was talking about... could I possibly share mine with my best friend? Would he judge me? Probably... I judge myself too...
--Are you sleeping?-- he typed drowsily.
--You just woke me up T_T --
--Sorry, I thought it was something urgent, when you called so late.--
--Not at all. I just wanted to talk. Have you forgotten about me?--
--How could I? Kekeke. How is Busan?--
--Wow, so insensitive... you don't even care how I AM...--
--I know, that if you feel bad, you would let me know right away -_- --
--Cold hearted as always, I am hurt.--
Jungkook giggled, he was so tired that he didn't care about taking a shower or changing his clothes. He just slipped off his jeans and stretched on the bed wearing T-shirt and his underwear.
--You know I miss you, pabo.--
--I miss you too, Kook.--
--So what did you want to talk about?--
--I will talk to you in person, when I come. I already have a train ticket reserved.--
--Now I'm curious. You have to tell me.--
--I won't kekeke--
--You are annoying, you deserve to be woken up every time.--
--The same old evil Kook as I remember... How are you doing by the way?--
-I'm suffering.--
--Because of all the girls chasing after you?*wiggles eyebrow* --
--I will tell you in person :P --
--Who's annoying now...--
--I have to go, Gyeomie.-- Jungkook was in danger of his phone falling on his face.
--Ok. Don't die without me.--
-- *dies* --
--Good night ded Kook.--
--Night.--
With his eyes half closed he set an alarm for the morning and passed out splayed on his bed.
Waking up in the morning was cruel, Jungkook followed his daily morning routine. He had a bit of extra time, so he looked up a tutorial on how to tie a tie. He knew, that he will run into Taehyung, either in the elevator or at the bus stop and wanted to impress him with perfectly tied tie. Despite his effort, the knot still didn't look as nice as when Taehyung did it for him, he ran out of time, so he left it as it was.
The effort to look nice in front of his hyung was pointless. Taehyung either took a bus much earlier, or wasn't going to school that morning at all. Jungkook, bit disappointed took the bus alone.
During the day, he kept being distracted through the classes, it was hard for him to focus.
Will I be able to tell Yugyeom about everything? How would I even say it? Hey Yugyeom, listen I kinda like this person and he's actually a guy and yeah, I like him for real, you know... not just like, but like like... Oh God, he would probably ask me if I'm taking drugs or something... He was completely lost in his thoughts and got called up by teachers several times, which earned him few sniggers from classmates. Maybe if I tell Jimin... he doesn't know all the details about me... so maybe it wouldn't be that shocking... But I am so confused and unsure of my feelings... If only there could be a way to confirm everything... I guess kissing him would be one... The only person I've ever kissed was Yuki, it was nice and all, but I can't say I loved it that much... but... I did like her... that's not a reliable method... There's no use...
After the classes, as promised Jungkook waited for Jimin. I should ask Jimin-hyung, what his experience with girls or relationships is. He's older after all, he might know more about these things... Although he said he doesn't have female friends... that would mean... probably he's never had a girlfriend. I'm pretty sure there must've been a girl who fell for him at some point. He has those eyes... they are... very seductive? Girls must like it... and his lips... But what do I know... I shouldn't know anything about that, I'm a guy after all... Right at that point he saw Jimin approaching with a smile.
"There you are," he smiled widely, his eyes disappearing into thin lines. He waved goodbye to his friend, who Jungkook saw with him that one time.
"How are you, Jimin-hyung?"
"Much better, now that I can see you Jungkookie."
Jungkook couldn't help, but blush a little. He was nervous even in Jimin's presence after all.
"D...do you want to get a coffee first?"
"Sure."
They went to the cafe Jimin chose, he knew Seoul much better than Jungkook. The cafe was pretty packed, but there were no students in there, which Jungkook preferred. Jimin told him to go and find them a table while he went to order.
Jungkook found one free table in the corner, sat down stretching his muscular legs and leaned his back against the wall. He was hoping, that the coffee would wake him up, because he felt too tired and sleepy to go to the library and study hard.
Jimin returned, balancing the tray with coffee cups in one hand. "Aren't you going to praise me for my skills?"
"Does that require any skills?" Jungkook was good in pretty much everything and he wasn't that easily impressed.
"Is this how you should talk to your hyung? Jungkook-a, I bought you a coffee, you need to behave."
"Maybe you should loosen up instead, hyung," remembering what Jimin told him when they first met.
"Aish, I see how this is going to be. As soon as I show my caring side to you, you start to bully me."
"I know you won't get mad."
"Yah! How can you be so sure?"
"Because I'm cute," Jungkook out of nowhere attacked Jimin with aegyo. With puffed up cheeks he looked at Jimin with puppy eyes. He cringed internally, but it worked, Jimin smiled scrunching his nose and shook his head.
"Okay, you win."
Jungkook grinned satisfied and took one of the coffee cups. "Thank you Jimin-hyungnim for this heavenly drink of gods and blessing me with your company and with your incredible tray balancing skills, I am truly humbled in front of you. I am only..." Jimin punched him into his shoulder frustrated.
"What is with children these days," Jimin had enough of teasing.
"Am I a child?"
"Yeah, it seems like it."
"But you are the short one," Jungkook had to dodge a cushion flying at him.
"I'm two years older than you! I've eaten 2130 more grains of rice!!! And this is how you treat me?"
"I just thanked you. Why are you so mad?"
"I won't say anything, because you will bully me again," he took a sip of frothy coffee.
It left foam on his full upper lip, the same way it happened to Jungkook two days ago. Without thinking Jungkook reached out with his hand and wiped it from his lips with his thumb. Jimin was startled at first, but then smiled," is this you 'making it up to me', huh?"
"I just wanted to know, how you would react." He was saying truth. He didn't get embarrassed, like me. It's almost like he enjoyed it... It makes me think, that if I would share with him what's been bothering me lately, he wouldn't be weirded out...
Jimin sighed with frustration, but the corners of his mouth kept twitching. He took his phone and started typing trying to keep a poker face.
"Isn't it rude to be texting when you are here with me, hyung?"
Jimin kept silent and gave him a deadly stare, yet his lips where still twitching.
"Hyung, do you know you look like mochi?" Jungkook wasn't done teasing him.
Jimin started laughing covering his face with one hand,"I can't with you Jungkookie..."
"I made it up to you, I made you laugh."
"Okay, but for real, you are evil," Jimin said and put down his phone.
"Yeah, I've heard that before," Jungkook grinned. "Who is that on your wallpaper? Wait, isn't that student you're always with?" Jungkook pointed on Jimin's phone.
"Oh, this photo?"Jimin asked.
"I took it myself," he continued.
Isn't it a bit strange to have a wallpaper like that?
"Oh, so you're good friends."
"You could say so."
"From what I've seen he seems like a complete opposite of you."
"Don't they say opposites attract?" Jimin winked. "Finish your coffee and let's go."
The weather outside was very windy, messing up their hair as they walked. Jungkook noticed, that Jimin was of small build. He really was quite a bit shorter than him and when he was bracing the cold wind with his hands in front of his face, he noticed how tiny they are. Jimin just looked adorable to Jungkook and the word mochi suited him perfectly. He almost looked like, the wind would blow him away, so Jungkook wrapped his arm around his shoulder.
"Before we go to the library I need to go somewhere. I need to buy a toy for one kitten," Jimin shouted with his high pitched voice through the billowing wind.
What? That's so random...
"Okay, whatever," Jungkook shouted back, trying to block some of the wind with his body.
They got to Toy Ally and stopped by at one of the stores,"I know exactly, what I want to buy," Jimin said and walked through the jungle of toys.
"What do you think about this one?"
"Hmm, I don't know, hyung... But, shouldn't we go to a pet store instead?"
Jimin's giggle was the only answer.
"Omo, this is exactly what I was looking for."
"Wait, wouldn't it be too large for a kitten?"
"Oh, no, this kitten is pretty big. I'm getting this one."
Jimin went to pay for the Kumamon plushy and then they finally made their way to the library. Jungkook was actually glad, that he got to spend some time with Jimin. He could tell, that Jimin genuinely liked him and wasn't a fake friend. He put up with all his bullying. Finally in the quiet atmosphere of the library they dived into the studying.
Back home Jungkook was slowly eating his dinner, just lifting the chopsticks to his mouth seemed like too much effort. He felt energized by Jimin's company earlier, but his body was tired.
He had no homework to do, no studying to do, no messages or calls. It was too late to watch a movie, his eyes too strained to read a book or play games. He sat down on the floor. Thank you floor for always being there, ready to support my mental breakdowns... He snorted and sighed at how absurd his thoughts sometimes were.
I wonder what's he doing... I can totally imagine him being outside having a date with some gorgeous girl swooning over his looks... Holding his hand, touching his hair, face... making him laugh... kissing his lips... a perfect couple... He'll carry her in his arms, sing her lullabies, kiss her forehead...
It's no longer about the physical need for me anymore... I've stopped myself from doing than... it's... it's not right... there's something different. I guess this is what it feels like, when people are talking about soulmates... He looked up at the night sky. The full moon was still hanging above the the city.
Maybe he's at home, resting... at the apartment, which is so close... That's funny, because it would mean that he is just at an arms reach away from me, but unapproachable at the same time... Maybe he's looking at this moon right now in silence... or maybe... He was too scared to even think of it... Maybe he's thinking about me...
On Tuesday, Jungkook didn't meet Taehyung in the morning either. Right now all his efforts were to meet Taehyung, he felt silly thinking back how he was trying to avoid him first few weeks. Now it was a different story. He was praying, that he will bump into him in school. That did not happen, so he decided to wait after his classes were done, to see if Taehyung even was in school that day. He had no plans with Jimin, so he was determined to stay and wait even if it had to be for few hours. He didn't want to send him a message, he refused to admit how worried he was.
He chose a spot at the stairs near the entrance so he could monitor which students finish and go home. He put on headphones and listened to some music, to kill time.
I ask myself for hundredths time, why do I care? He wouldn't care if I missed school... Why am I always overreacting, when it comes to him?
"Hey you!" a deep voice echoed.
"Huh?"
Someone was standing on the stairs in front of him. He looked up and saw a familiar face looking down on him.
"Sorry? What did you say?"
"What are you doing? Waiting for someone?"
"Uh, well yeah kind of... but not really..."
"I'm a student council president and unless you have a good reason to be sitting on these stairs, I would suggest, that you stop doing that. And I meant that, right now."
"Oh God, I'm sorry... I didn't know... I wasn't... I... I'm new here... a transfer student," Jungkook was flustered and could see, that the student in front of him was not impressed by his stuttering.
"Ignorance of law excuses no one."
"I apologize," he bowed low. "I will remember to never sit here again."
To Jungkook's surprise, the students smirked. "Is that so?"
"Yes. I promise."
"Come with me."
Jungkook's heart dropped to his stomach, he started sweating profusely. What the fuck are these messed up rules in this school... Can't sit on stairs?! I can call Jimin-hyung, he could save me maybe, from this... this... president? God, I'm done for... Maybe Jimin-hyung is his friend because of obvious benefits...
He was expecting to go to the principal's office or something, but the student lead him outside. Great... a fist fight?
"P...president-nim... where are we going?" Jungkook kept stumbling behind the student.
"Are you hungry?"
"What? I... I don't understand..." Is he going to poison me?!
The student started laughing without making any sound. "How about lamb skewers?"
Jungkook was too scared to say anything or to run away, so he just mindlessly followed the student in this bizarre situation.
"Is... is this some kind of punishment?" He asked coyly.
"Do you dislike lamb that much?"
"I... I like lamb, but... Wait, president-nim, are we really going to a restaurant?"
"Where else do they serve lamb skewers?" The student kept his face emotionless.
"I'm not hungry," he was starving.
"The meal is on me. Still not hungry?"
Jungkook's shoulder dropped," maybe a little bit."
"My name is Min Yoongi, so stop with that president-nim. I don't give a shit."
"O.. okay," Jungkook was surprised by the language.
"So, Jungkook, how do you like the school?"
He knows my name? My freaking name? Does he know where I live? Will he come at night and murder me?
"Uhh, it is quite stressful. And, I don't like my classmates that much," he was too tired of pretending.
Yoongi scoffed," of course..." He stopped and turned to face Jungkook,"I hate everyone in school too," he laughed revealing his gummy smile. "What a surprise, right?"
Whoah! He's the coolest student council president ever, then...
"I'm from Daegu. I don't think I can ever get used to these stuck-up Seoul people."
"I'm from Busan."
"Oh, you don't have to say that, every body knows... But don't worry, I find myself to be a Busan satoori enthusiast."
Jungkook completely forgot about his mission to scout for Taehyung. He was pretty sure this must've been Jimin's work. Some kind of punishment, for his bullying.
Yoongi opened up the restaurant door and held it for him,"Busan princes first."
What the heck is that supposed to mean? Jungkook stopped questioning the situation. He was not running into any conclusions, totally lost.
They sat down at a table and Yoongi ordered for both of them.
"If you don't mind me asking, Yoongi-ssi, are you really a student council president?"
"Believe it or not, I am," he had almost drunk way of talking, which Jungkook found really interesting.
He found everything about him interesting. He seemed very manly, but when he laughed also very cute. The biggest surprise came, when Yoongi was trying to find something in his backpack and pulled out a large plushy toy and hugged it.
What a coincidence! Jimin got that one for the kitten yesterday...
"Why... why do you have a toy in your backpack, Yoongi-ssi?" Jungkook supressed his laughter at the weird object in his bag.
Yoongi shrugged and put it back. I can totally see Jimin-hyung hanging out with him...They both seem to like the same things... I have to admit though, he is cute... Why the hell do I find all the guys cute, here?
Their food came and Jungkook ate ravenously, he didn't care how he might look in front of the guy, he had just met. He wasn't earning any money and any time someone offered to buy food for him, he didn't need to be asked twice. All these guys paying for the meals and drinks for me? No girl would ever do this... Maybe I should broaden my horizons...
The conversation was easy going, they exchanged phone numbers, Yoongi seemed to be incredibly laid back guy, the opposite of what Jungkook was. He felt like there might be a change of gaining another friend... They ate everything, Yoongi cleared the bill and they were ready to leave. Yoongi went to the toilet and when he returned he sat back down again.
"Before we go, I can't forget. There is one thing you should know."
"Wh... what is it?"
Yoongi looked him coldly in the eye.
"Jimin is mine."

One minute longer in his presence and I would totally pass out...
He grabbed his books from the floor and dragged his tired body into his room. It was very late, he left his phone back in his room, when he was at Taehyung's apartment and now he found one missed call... From Yugyeom?

With his eyes half closed he set an alarm for the morning and passed out splayed on his bed.
Waking up in the morning was cruel, Jungkook followed his daily morning routine. He had a bit of extra time, so he looked up a tutorial on how to tie a tie. He knew, that he will run into Taehyung, either in the elevator or at the bus stop and wanted to impress him with perfectly tied tie. He really was quite a bit shorter than him and when he was bracing the cold wind with his hands in front of his face, he noticed how tiny they are.
