I spent all day at the shop and now while I lay in bed staring at the ceiling, I realized that it's hard without Arlo sleeping next to me while snoring in my ear. I just can't fall asleep.
I wanted to text Jake to see if I could come over and watch a movie, but I still haven't gotten his number. I'm just too scared to even ask for it.
I grabbed my phone searching around on Instagram wondering if I could even find his profile. But the thing with Jake was that it wasn't hard to miss on social media.
I followed him before I started to message him.
Are you up?
Yeah why are you up?
Can't sleep can I come over?
Yeah I'll meet you at the front door.

I took the blankets off of me before grabbing a pair of shoes and walking to Jake's door. Once I was even on the front steps Jake opened the front door smiling at me.
"So movie night?"
I nodded "Definitely movie night."
I followed him to the kitchen where we made popcorn and found some random candy before we went to the living room going on Netflix.
"Okay I'm going to be honest." He looked at me to make sure I was listening "I have this toxic thing where I fall asleep right when the movie starts."
I laughed "So do I. That's the whole point in watching a movie."
"Oh thank god." He wiped fake sweat off his forehead "Johnnie made me believe I was the only one."
I laughed before resting my head on his shoulder while pulling the blankets closer to us.
"Don't fall asleep on me now." He joked "This is a good movie."
I felt his arm wrap around my shoulder pulling me closer to him.
"I won't." I mumbled already feeling tired
"Your lying." He whispered close to my ear
"I haven't slept good in a long time. This feels nice."
I didn't hear him say anything else but I felt him kiss my forehead before he got comfortable himself. By then I was already in a deep sleep.
