Joey's expression changed instantly.

With that, Jordan stood up and swept his gaze across the room. He continued, "My wife didn't come here today as Mrs. Erwin, but as the CEO of Hayes Group.
"You all heard about what happened to the Hayes family. The rest of the family isn't up to the task. They can't handle the company. My wife came here today to build relationships with all of you.
"Unexpectedly, before she got a chance to say anything, she was bullied by this woman."
Jordan was backing Stella up all the way today. He continued, "Well, everyone here knows Troy, right? You know exactly what kind of bastard he is, probably even better than I do.

Stella kept her foot firmly pressed on Lillian's hand and let out a sigh. "What a pity. I haven't recovered from what I suffered, so I barely have any strength left at all."
