The husbands of the ladies came over to plead with Stella, but Stella ignored them. They turned to Jordan afterwards, but Jordan sent them away with just a few words.
Jordan said, "You should feel lucky that my wife was the one who stepped in today. If it had been me, things would have gotten a lot uglier."
After thinking it over, everyone realized Jordan had a point. No one dared to say a word after that.
Jordan worried that Stella might be tired from standing for so long. Since she didn't need to do anything else now, he took her hand and said, "Let's go take a break over there. I've had some food prepared for you."
Stella didn't hesitate. She knew she probably wouldn't be able to eat much at this hour, given everything that had happened, but she was hungry.
Stella spotted some small cakes that looked both beautiful and delicious. Just as she reached for one, Jordan took it away from her, and she gave him an aggrieved look.
Jordan's face was stern. "The doctor said sweets aren't good for your spleen. The reason you're so thin isn't just that you eat little. Your spleen is not in good shape, either."
"Got it," Stella replied.
Jordan placed some non-sweet food next to her.
His assistant was left dumbfounded. He wondered, 'Is this really our CEO?
'Mr. Erwin has been the tough, cold-faced boss, never showing much warmth to anyone. Decisive, ruthless, and cold-blooded are his trademarks.
'Why does he turn into a total simp whenever he's around Stella?'
The scene was a total mess. The ladies' clothes were ripped, and they looked just as disheveled as Lillian had earlier.
Their husbands could only stand there and watch, completely helpless.
Stella watched the whole scene as if she were enjoying the show.
However, she didn't realize that this incident had made her famous overnight. Everyone could see that Stella was as terrifying as hell. They suddenly understood why she married Jordan. It was because those two were of the same kind.
After a long time, there was still no winner. Stella was getting fed up with it, so she told her assistant, "Tell them to stand up. Whoever slaps the most in five minutes gets to leave."
"Yes," her assistant replied.
The assistant was shocked by Stella's move. He thought things were already harsh enough, but she unexpectedly had a new trick.
The ladies stood up. After hearing Stella's words, they started slapping at each other crazily. Finally, when the five of them were thrown out with naked bodies, the farce came to an end.
Chandler walked up to Stella and let out a sigh.
He said, "I know you're young, and I know what you've been through. I do sympathize with you, and I get that you wanted to show everyone what you're made of today. But don't you think you went too far?"
Stella didn't have it. She replied, "Mr. Shaw, if you really understood what I did, you would know I was being pretty lenient with them today.
"Besides, I never messed with them, but they're the ones who came after me. You didn't say a thing to them, but you're scolding me.
"Let's be honest. You all look down on Jordan and me, don't you?
"How about we make a bet? I say you'll be out of that seat within three years, and my husband will be the one replacing you."
Chandler narrowed his eyes dangerously at first, and then burst out laughing. "Stella, it's good to have guts when you're young, but making enemies everywhere is not a wise move."
"Thanks for the warning, Mr. Shaw. We know exactly what we're doing," Stella replied.
