Emily went on, "At last night's chamber of commerce, Stella hit Troy's aunt and her friends. She even forced Troy's aunt to divorce his uncle. You have no idea how wild she was. She was as arrogant as it gets."
Andrew knew there was a business event the night before. He had planned to go, but after what had happened, he didn't go there.
"How did she get there?" Andrew asked.
"You really don't know? While you were locked up those days, Stella seized the Hayes Group. Now, she is the real chairwoman and CEO," Emily said.
Andrew was so mad that the veins on his forehead were about to pop.
After thinking it over, he pointed at Fiona and said, "Look at the daughter you gave birth to. She has completely disgraced the Hayes family. She forced us into jail and pulled all these outrageous stunts. It's unheard of."
Fiona shot back angrily, "Did I have her all by myself? I gave birth to two kids at once, and Anna turned out fine. It's only Stella who's like this. What do you expect me to do? Do you think I wanted such a daughter?"
Anna quickly jumped in, "Dad, Mom, could there be any misunderstanding?"
Andrew snapped, "Impossible. Emily told us everything, and Max is in there. Isn't that proof enough?"
"This is ridiculous. You'd rather believe an outsider than me? You didn't want a daughter like me. Well, I don't want a family like you either," Stella shouted. Just then, she walked in from outside.
Andrew immediately stormed over to her and said, "How dare you show up here? Aren't you embarrassed? Look at what you did to Max.
"Our business with the Carver family was already over, but you had to stir things up even more. What the hell are you after?"
Andrew wanted to slap Stella, but when he caught the warning look Jordan shot him from behind Stella, he didn't dare make a move.
Stella shot him a glance. "Why should I feel embarrassed about coming? Didn't you have Lionel invite me here? I only came because we're still related by blood. If you don't want me here, then I'll leave."
Stella made a move to walk out.
Andrew pointed at her. "I didn't believe it when Emily said you've gotten arrogant, but now I see she was right. Look at what you've become. Stella, you've turned the Hayes family into a mess. Aren't you ashamed?"
Stella talked back, "You're the ones who should be ashamed of how badly you treat your own family.
"How about we make a bet? I'll only get better and better, but you'll get exactly what you deserve."
"What? You stole the company while we were locked up. Do you even have a conscience?" Andrew yelled.
Stella said, "No, I don't. Happy now? Don't you know why you ended up in jail? Even if you hadn't been in prison, Hayes Group would have been in my hands sooner or later.
"Don't bother sucking up to me. It's useless. You're not allowed to come back to the company. You're fired. I'll sort out your shares in the next few days, and from now on, Hayes Group has nothing to do with any of you."
"How dare you?" Andrew was pissed off.
Andrew still looked like he wanted to hit Stella, but Lionel quickly jumped in to block him.
Lionel said, "Mr. Hayes, please calm down. I brought Stella here because I hoped you could be reconciled. You're family. Can't you talk this through?"
