The guards hesitated, thinking, 'If we throw her out and the drug takes effect, she could be in real danger. But considering Ms. Hayes almost... Ms. Hayes had said to leave it up to fate.' They proceeded to throw Anna out.
Stella and Nola entered the company. Nola gave a signal to one of the security guards, who understood and followed Anna.
Anna desperately needed to find Monroe. She quickly grabbed her phone and called him.
Anna exclaimed, "Monroe, listen to me. Stella has gone too far. I went to reconcile with her today, but she drugged me.
"She claimed I was the one who drugged her while she was on a business trip. I would never do something like that. I feel really unwell right now. You need to come over, or I might end up with some other guy..."
"Wait for me. I'm on my way," Monroe replied, asking for her address and rushing out, skipping his meeting.
His assistant wanted to call out to him, but Monroe was moving too fast. The assistant watched him leave, feeling helpless and thinking, 'How many times has this happened this month?
'People are getting fed up. They're complaining to Arthur, saying that Monroe only cares about women and not the company. At this rate, the company is doomed.
'Initially, Arthur didn't say anything, but recently he came to me, asking me to keep an eye on Monroe. If this continues, I'm afraid Monroe...'
Stella had been in a meeting and had completely forgotten about Anna.
By the time she finished, it was already noon. Nola approached her and whispered, "Ms. Hayes, I have news about Anna."
That was when Stella remembered. "What happened to her?"
Nola replied, "When the drug took effect, she randomly grabbed a guy on the street and tried to... well, you know.
"He was so scared he called the police, but just then, Lionel happened to pass by. By the time Monroe arrived, Lionel had already been in the car with Anna several times."
Stella chuckled but felt a bit sentimental. "How did it have to be Lionel? What a lucky break for them. What about Monroe?"
Nola said, "Monroe is very upset, but he has accepted the reality. He knows it was you who drugged Anna, so he might hold you responsible.
"As for Lionel, he just beat up the guy and then left with Anna. What he does next, I'm not sure."
Stella responded, "It's fine. I had already anticipated this outcome before I did it."
Feeling hungry, Stella decided to take Nola out for a meal. By coincidence, she saw Andrew having dinner with a woman.
Andrew was sitting with his back to them, so he didn't notice Stella. But Stella recognized the woman—Andrew's old flame. Rumor had it that when Andrew first married Fiona, this woman had come back into his life, but Fiona won in the end.
Since then, no woman had managed to get close to Andrew; he had remained quite restrained. It seemed that after Fiona's actions, Andrew was no longer content.
Stella and Nola chose a table away from Andrew's line of sight and sat down to eat.
After their meal, Stella spotted Monroe.
Nola was worried about Stella and wanted to stay close. Stella asked her to stand aside but she kept an eye on her.
Monroe's eyes were filled with such anger that it felt as if it would drown Stella. He stared at her for a long time before saying, "Stella, no one should act like you do.
"Even if you have experienced darkness, taking revenge on innocent people—isn't that going too far?"
