He sneered, "Trying this trick? You really think being a member of the Hayes family makes you something special? Everyone here knows you've already been used up by that doctor. We wouldn't touch a woman like you at all!"
Anna's face turned pale. She and Monroe hadn't even gotten laid yet—that was all part of her game. She knew that if she wanted to keep Monroe under her thumb, she had to make him believe she wasn't that kind of girl.
She'd already planned it all out—before they got married, she'd find a way to get things fixed with surgery. The doctor was dead, anyway, so no one would ever find out about her past.
But the truth still got out. However, in Anna's world, she just couldn't believe there was a man out there who wasn't a total perv at heart.
She tried the same move again, but this time, the guy with the scissors didn't hesitate. He stabbed the sharp tip right into her scalp, making her scream out in agony.
But that wasn't even the worst of it. When it was time to eat, they'd give her food, but then immediately smash the bowl in front of her.
By the time it was the dead of night, when Anna was at her most exhausted, they pulled out needles and started jabbing them into her body.
It was only one day, but Anna had already passed out several times.
As she looked like she was about to die, one of the men finally said, "Mr. Erwin said we can't torture her to death. We have to keep her alive so Mrs. Erwin can deal with her personally when she wakes up."
"Pathetic. She couldn't even take all these, but she did these to someone else. If she isn't already half-dead, I've got plenty more tricks up my sleeve for her," another man sneered.
Then those men brutally kicked Anna while she lay helpless on the ground. Anna could vaguely hear the men talking, but their words were just a muddled mess in her ears.
The only thing running through her mind was, 'When is Monroe going to come save me? I really can't hold on any longer. I feel like I'm about to die.'
Jordan had stayed by Stella's side for a whole day and night, and Kevin was outside the whole time, seeing everything with his own eyes.
He'd heard that Jordan hadn't slept for a full day and night even before he got back, and now he'd pulled another all-nighter on top of that. Kevin never expected anyone could care this much.
He had to admit, Jordan really did love Stella. Kevin couldn't help but wonder, 'If it were me, could I do the same?'
Jordan's men showed up with a ton of photos of Anna. Looking at those photos, Kevin could see just how miserable Anna was.
If it weren't for the fact that they still hadn't found the evidence, Jordan definitely wouldn't have gone so easy on her.
Jordan's subordinate said, "We've tracked down Andrew Hayes. He's as sly as a fox, but even the craftiest fox can't escape a real hunter.
"Now, we've already thrown him together with Anna. Everything Mrs. Erwin suffered, we're going to make sure he gets a taste of it himself."
Jordan looked at the photos, but there wasn't a trace of satisfaction on his face. He said, "No. Anna's a woman. She couldn't handle it, so let's go easy on her for now.
"But Andrew's a man—he can take it. Make him suffer through it three times."
Kevin froze on the spot. He thought, 'Jordan really is as ruthless and full of tricks as everyone said.'
He couldn't help but feel relieved since he'd never gotten on Jordan's bad side. He couldn't even imagine what kind of hell he'd be in if he ever pissed Jordan off.
Just then, Stella, on the bed, suddenly moved. Kevin wanted to step forward, but then he saw that Jordan had already reached out and taken Stella's hand.
