ADONIS.
“Hi, Adonis.” A feminine voice reached me as I stepped out of my Jeep. I turned to see a dark-haired woman standing right in front of me, with a very flirty smile on her face. She looked familiar.
“Hey,” I responded, an eyebrow raised. Where have I seen her before?
She giggled, twirling her hair in her finger, lashes fluttering at me. “Don’t tell me you don’t remember me, gorgeous.” She walked closer, swaying her hips in her short, tight dress as she reached up to lightly trail her fingers down my jaw. “Maybe I have too many clothes on. Will you take them off me, and let’s see if you remember?” The smirk on her face and her choice of words triggered a kind of blurry memory.
Recognition sank.
We once fucked at some hotel, in Paris. It started when we both got stuck in an elevator, and I ended pulling her panties down and fucking her from behind. Then, when we got out, we both went into her room to fuck some more. It was great kinky sex, she let me live out some of my fetishes with her, and that’s probably why the memory of that night stayed.
But we never knew each other’s names. It was just a one-night stand, but somehow, she got my number and texted me a couple of X-rated stuff, inviting me to have more sex with her. When I never responded, she stopped.
“I remember,” I said, eyeing her down more carefully this time. It was obvious all she wanted was great sex from me, not clinginess and all the bullshit that comes with shit like relationships.
“It’s good you remember.” She laughed. “I wouldn’t forgive you if you didn’t, handsome. That was my first elevator sex, you know. And my very first kinky as hell sex. But you still don’t know my name, how rude. I sent it along with my sexy texts.”
“Celine?” I guessed flatly.
She gave me a dubious smile and moved her hand to my chest, feeling me up, her eyes gleaming with delight and arousal. “My name is Belle. And boy, you feel even better than last time, baby.” When her hand started to slide lower down my body, I caught her wrist and moved her hand away.
“Damn. Rough. I like it. My boyfriend isn’t half as good as you in bed.” She winked conspiratorially.
“Good to know,” I said dismissively and tried to walk around her but she stepped into my way, her heels screeching on the concrete. Over her head, I could see Cole and the rest of my team at the entrance of the bar, staring at Belle and me, chuckling among themselves. Those fuckers.
I looked down back at her, an eyebrow raised.
“Paris number two would be great, right? I will text you a hotel-”
“I’m not interested.” I cut her off.
She was persistent. “How about sex right now? I know a few spots-” Her words turned into a hitch in her throat when I stepped closer to her, looming over her small frame. I stared into her eyes, making sure she got the message, but she suddenly lowered her gaze, a light blush tinting her upper cheeks. I lifted her chin with my finger, forcing her to look at me. She did, but I could see the desire swimming in her eyes, with a small smile curving her red lips.
“Listen, Belle-”
“Dominant. Hm. You just made me so wet right now.” She whispered to me in a voice dripping with lust.
“-If you ever see me again, don’t come to me. Don’t text me.” Her smile wavered at my words. “We fucked good. But there won’t be any more fucking. Yes?”
Her eyes stared at me as she slowly realized she couldn’t get the sex she wanted. Then she swallowed, looking away blankly. “Yes.”
Satisfied by her answer, I stepped away from her and walked towards the entrance, feeling her stare on my back. When I got to the entrance, the fuckers were grinning at me, with expressions on their face that blatantly showed what was going through their minds right now.
Cole gave me his signature lewd grin. “Who’s that hot girl back there, bro?” He jerked a finger behind us. “She available or something?”
I gave him a dead stare. “Just some girl.”
“Some girl?” Jade spat, crossing her arms and arching an eyebrow at me. “If that’s how you act with all the women you meet, then you better not try that shit my way.” Her lips were curled in disgust as she eyed me down. I shifted my glare to her but forgot what she said immediately I noticed what she was wearing.
She was in some tiny black shorts, elastic-like the type Leilani wore around the house most of the time, her curves swaying seductively and giving men boners. Well, Jade could never make me hard, but that’s not the point. She had a black leather jacket on, the front wide open to show off the back-bra thing she wore underneath which showed off some cleavage. I raised an eyebrow.
That’s something we don’t see every day.
“What?” Jade spat when she noticed me taking in her appearance leisurely. Something nice had been done to her black hair and there was something like makeup around her eyes, making the green color more pronounced.
I met her gaze. “You look good, Jade.”
She blinked at the unexpected compliment. Yeah, I don’t fucking give compliments like that, but it’s Jade. And she went out of her way to look better than usual for today. It was premium teasing material.
“Thanks, I guess.” She huffed. “But don’t ever give me a compliment with that tone. I’m not one of your girls.”
I chuckled. Cole grinned his overly social, womanizing, flashy grin. “You know what, Adonis? I think Jade has a crush on you.”
Jade turned on him abruptly, looking like a pregnant volcano about to erupt but Tim's calm voice cut in. “Guys, I think we should head inside. Standing out in the open like this is giving me major anxiety.” I looked at him for the first time. I had barely even noticed him at all. He was in one of his huge hoodies that successfully alienated him from social interaction, but at least this time, he wore a different fucking color from black. Even though the switch was to a boring color. Some color that looked like brown.
Then I realized we were incomplete. “Where the fuck is Spence?” I snapped. Spence was also a member of the automotive engineering team I put together for my contract, and he was a genius, but he was also a fucking serious workaholic and had a fucking hard time having fun. Everything has to be serious with him. And he was the reason we were all fucking gathered here this evening.
It was his fucking birthday and Cole, that fucking stoned party animal, decided to force Spence out to do something different. Honestly, I did not give a flying fuck about nobody’s birthday, but even Tim showed up. Jade would never fucking let me have peace if I didn’t show up. So, I did. And now the fucking birthday boy was missing.
“Did that fucking piece of shit bail on us?” Cole cursed.
“Be rational. Spence gave us his word and he takes his word very seriously. The probability of him ditching us is approximately zero.” Tim spoke up. But I fucking stopped listening when I heard him say probability. I’ve had my fill of computers for the day. I definitely did not fucking need another human-computer beside me all fucking evening.
“Call him,” I told Jade. She did and turns out that the fucker was inside the fucking building the whole time.
We were seated around a bar lounge chair, a couple of shiny alcoholic drinks and champagne decked out in front of us. Spence was holding a filled glass in his hand, face as sour as a motherfucker. You would think he was here for a funeral.
I was leaned into my seat, my head resting on the leather, absently holding a drink, unbothered as fuck. Jade downed her drink in one go and shuddered, with Cole cheering her on.
“This does not cheer me up. I never understood the meaning of drinking away your life, anyway.” Spence suddenly bit out, placing the glass on the table with a careless thump. We looked at him. Well, everyone except me. I was more interested in staring broodingly into space.
“Why not?” Jade gasped.
“My ex-girlfriend is here.” He muttered solemnly. I heard his voice shake a little, and that caught my attention.
“Damn. Where is she? Is she sexy though?” Cole sounded excited, and I fucking wanted to smack his jaw slack.
“Over at that table. She has been staring in this direction for a while now.” Spence tried to sound hard and he picked his drink back up. I looked in the direction he motioned at, only to see Belle -or was it, Celine- curled up in the arms of a man that I assumed to be the boyfriend she was talking about. She was staring at our spot. But Spence was fucking wrong. She was not staring at him.
She was staring at me.
And I think the rest realized it too as they looked back at me.
“Why did you guys break up?” Jade asked him, her green eyes still on me. It really was a small world. Belle was not just some good fuck at Paris, she was the ex of one of my colleagues. And she wanted more sex from me.
Spence swallowed and shrugged carelessly. “She sleeps around. A freaking whore.”
“I like whores.” Cole quipped and then sent a wicked grin my way. “But no one likes them more than Adonis does. We saw her trying to get some fuck from him right outside the bar before we came in.”
My eyes darkened. Cole, that fucking big-mouthed motherfucker. He was obviously trying to stir shit up. “Shut the fuck up.”
“It was obvious she was forcing herself on him,” Jade said smoothly, sending Cole a brief glare. “Her current boyfriend has no fucking idea what his girlfriend's up to.”
Spence shrugged again. “That’s all in the past, guys. I’ve got great money goals unfolding right now and I’m swimming in cash. I don’t care anymore about any ex.” At the sound of that, they began to cheer and toast to more fucking money. I looked back at Belle's spot. She was gazing at me, patiently, like she had been waiting for me to meet her gaze all along. I held her gaze, warning in my eyes and she tried to hold her ground against me for a few impressive seconds, but she broke eye contact and turned to her boyfriend again.
“I have a gift for you, Spence,” Cole announced. “After this, we’re going to this new strip club I discovered. They have the freakiest women, in large numbers, and I’m gonna pay for everything fucking thing you do in there.”
Jade grinned. “Freaky women? That sounds great.”
At the mention of the strip club, I saw Tim hold his keys tighter, his face slowly going red, probably having flashbacks of his time with Cole at a strip club some time ago.
“I’ll pass on that. I’ve got to go after drinks.” He said from the shadows of his hoodie. There was silence for a drawn-out moment before laughter erupted from the mouths of those fuckers.
By the time we were leaving the bar, it was dark out and Tim had bailed, Cole was already drunk but still bursting with annoying partying energy and he had dragged Spence outside so they would go to the strip club. Jade and I were leisurely heading towards the exit, I was not in the mood to go to a strip club tonight but Jade was trying to convince me.
I was not fucking listening to her anyway, so it was easy for me to hear the sounds of a light scuffle coming from somewhere behind me. I glanced back, to see a man trying to touch a blonde sitting alone in the dim corner. She was struggling against his hand but he was smiling and using his own strength against her, by pinning her in place and trying to grope her breasts.
I recognized the blonde.
Brooke.
