Morgan's face was filled with delight and excitement, while Dylan looked incredulous and slightly uneasy.
Olivia smiled and nodded at Morgan, "Yes, we conceived while we were traveling abroad."
Morgan was overjoyed, his energy and spirit instantly revitalized, making him look years younger.
He looked at Olivia's stomach, but he was puzzled. "You don't look pregnant. At four and a half months, you should be showing. I can't see any signs at all," he said.
"Are you just trying to cheer me up by lying to me?" Morgan asked.
Dylan's gaze also fell on Olivia's stomach.
The weather had turned colder, and she was wearing two layers of clothing. Although the clothes were a bit loose, they could tell that her lower abdomen wasn't protruding.
Dylan let out a quiet sigh of relief. 'It seems she's lying to make Grandpa happy,' he thought.
Olivia explained, "I'm not lying. I really am pregnant. The doctor said the fetus is positioned toward the back, so it won't show much at this early stage."
Dylan's emotions got the better of him, and he retorted heatedly, "How could you possibly be pregnant?
"Three days ago, you walked such a long distance without me, fell into a pit from a great height, and then struggled to climb out and pull two adults up. Even an adult would have physical issues after doing all that.
"If you were really pregnant, you would have miscarried after going through all that three days ago. I know you want to make Grandpa happy, but you can't lie about something like this."
He continued, "You might make Grandpa happy now by lying, but in a few months, when you can't produce a child and his hopes are dashed, it will hurt him even more."
Morgan sighed, and his eyes dimmed, "I know you mean well, but you can't deceive me like this. Don't do it again. This emotional roller coaster, with its highs and lows, is too much for my heart to handle."
Olivia said patiently, "I'm not lying. My health is good, and I was very careful to protect my stomach that day, which is why I didn't miscarry, although the fetus was slightly disturbed.
"I've been hospitalized for the past three days to preserve the pregnancy. Now that the babies are fine, I feel I could tell you, Mr. Wilson."
She added, "Mr. Wilson, if you don't believe me, you can have a doctor you trust examine me. You can trust your own people, right?"
Hope rekindled in Morgan's eyes, and he immediately called for a doctor to examine Olivia.
When the results came back, Morgan looked at the paper and was so excited that his eyes turned red.
"It's true. Dylie is going to have his children. My wish is going to come true," he said, wiping away the tears from the corners of his eyes.
He chided Olivia a little, "You've been pregnant for over four months. Why didn't you tell me sooner? If I hadn't called you here today, would you have waited until the babies were born to tell me?"
Olivia said sheepishly, "I was busy with two screenplays. I was afraid that if I told you too early, you wouldn't let me work. So I thought I'd wait until I was done.
"I actually wanted to tell you three days ago, but then the incident happened, and it got delayed until today."
Morgan said, "How much money can those screenplays of yours make? From now on, just focus on taking care of yourself and the babies. Don't worry about making a few extra bucks. As long as you safely deliver the children, the Wilson family will not let you down."
Morgan and Olivia chatted happily, enveloped in a joyful atmosphere, but Dylan stood there, petrified.
