                    Don Black’s POV
Since meeting her in high school, I had marked her as mine, but Molly was stubborn. Even though all the girls wanted me, Molly didn't.
I thought things would change with time. I tried my best but never got over her.
That night, one of my men informed me that Giovanni was planning to propose to her during graduation, so how could I allow it?
Because of Molly, he hadn't visited his family, and his mother was angry. She hated any woman who distracted her son, and that was exactly what Giovanni's relationship with Molly was.
For me, it was an advantage, but even after Giovanni's disappearance due to all the chaos, Molly still refused to accept any man in her life, including me.
After graduation, I was undergoing intensive training to take over my family business, but I never forgot her. Her songs were therapy for me, and just when I was ready to make an appearance, the scandal happened, and she disappeared.
I searched everywhere, including her social media, but it was as if she never existed.
It was easy for me to forget every girl I got intimate with, but I never even got intimate with Molly, and yet, I wanted to marry her.
Maybe the more she proved hard to get, the greater my interest, but just when I heard that she resurfaced, Giovanni got there before me again and would never let anyone close to her.
He already knew I was involved in his accident, and I was determined not to let him know all the details, but as a bargaining chip to have Molly, I ended up revealing everything.
Even before then, Molly still didn't want me. The way she looked at Giovanni and how she smiled at him was something I never saw any man get from her.
Wesley was useless. I thought with him, I could have her, but it turned out I still had to make an appearance just so I could see Molly.
Giovanni might want to kill me, but I had the right bargaining chips before making myself available.
Even if I couldn't have her, I could trust Giovanni's mother to break them up for me, especially when he found it hard to answer my question.
"If it were someone else, you wouldn't have hesitated," I pointed out, trying to make Molly understand that Giovanni would not protect her if it involved his mother, but her gaze only remained on Giovanni.
How I wish she could just spare me a glance, even if it was a cold one. I love her, and why could she not just love me too?
"Blood is indeed thicker than water, and your mother still has eyes on Molly because of how she drives you crazy," I pointed out, trying to push him to the edge.
If he loved Molly, then he would have to break up with her to keep her safe. His mother even made mention of his son and his mother.
With them in his life, it confused me why he still did not want to let Molly go. The fact remained that her voice could fetch millions, if not billions, but Giovanni did not look like a man who cared about money.
"Everyone knows when you are in love, Don Gio. You can't hide it when it burns in your eyes," I taunted, trying to make him quench every bit of love he felt for Molly, but I couldn't tell if that was working.
"Perhaps it's time for you to go," he said seriously. I couldn't help the sarcastic laugh that emanated from me. Giovanni was powerful, and I knew he had a lot up his sleeves, but his late father kept something very important from him because we had to take him out early.
What Giovanni doesn't know is the fact that his mother was killing his father slowly, and the last bullet he received during the feud was just to prevent him from telling Giovanni those secrets.
Everything was orchestrated by his mother, but things went overboard, and innocent people died. We were still victorious because his father carried those secrets to his grave.
Giovanni did not accept the headship of the family early because wasted those times on Molly, but if not, then perhaps his father would not have died like a Thanksgiving turkey.
"You can't kill me, Don Gio," I challenged him, but his glare was as cold as ice. "Says who?" he glared at me. I laughed again.
These restrictions bothered me, and I hated to be tied up like this, but he had already taken down my men, so what more could I do?
"Has your mother told you about who the silent shareholders are?" The confusion in his eyes was interesting, but the black suit made him scarier.
He never wore a black suit ever since Molly disappeared, so could it be because of her?
"No. It isn't you," he replied, almost in a whisper, but his gaze remained dark. I explained it to him because I had the right cards.
"The Clouds have been partners with the Dawsons for centuries, and you know the allegiance between such families. We can't die by each other's hands, not even by authorizing another person to do it," I pointed out, but he looked determined.
"My mother did this, and she will pay, but you will not go free," he said seriously. I wondered what he was talking about.
Pulling out his gun, he shot me in the leg, and the pain seared through my body. "What the heck," I cried, my movements held back by the rope used to tie me.
Giovanni had gone mad, or should I say, a demon as they usually called him? Another shot was fired at my other leg, and I feared I wouldn't make it.
The pain was unbearable, and I didn't want to end up in a wheelchair. "Do you know what you are doing? You are calling for war with the Clouds," I reminded him, but only a smirk formed on his lips.
"I can't kill you, but that doesn't mean I can't paralyze you," he said, his smirk deepening. I regret messing with him. "Guess where the next shot will be directed," he asked menacingly. I felt my hopes dwindle and cried.
"Molly, please help me. All I did was love you."
