Giovanni’s POV
After watching the video of Molly confronting Wesley's siblings, I was initially entertained, but as soon as Wesley appeared, I rushed to the scene.
Wesley was being resuscitated by unfamiliar individuals, and I soon realized that Molly could be intimidating. It was evident that she had Kiara right where she wanted her, and the fear in Kiara's eyes was palpable.
"Are you suggesting that I drugged you, Molly?" Kiara nervously inquired. I knew I had to record everything for Molly's benefit, so I began recording.
This evidence would be crucial in vindicating Molly. Molly remained silent in response to Kiara's question, but the mere mention of the butcher's name sent Kiara into a panic.
"Please, Molly, can you put down the knife?" Kiara pleaded as Molly neared the completion of slicing the remaining desserts.
"I'm just practicing how to slice you like this if you ever lie to me again," Molly calmly retorted, her expression defiant.
She was truly terrifying when she spoke and acted in such a manner. Kiara appeared lost in thought, delaying her response to Molly's question as the main course was served. While the rest of us began eating, Kiara claimed she had already eaten.
"I have to confess, Molly, that drink was spiked, but it wasn't meant for you," Kiara finally admitted, though I sensed she was still being evasive.
Respecting my promise to Molly not to intervene, I chose to observe their conversation without interference.
"Then who was it intended for?" Molly inquired, echoing my own thoughts. It seemed our time together was influencing her thinking.
"It doesn't matter. It's been three or four years, right?" Kiara deflected, but her words failed to capture anyone's attention, especially since they didn't address Molly's probing questions.
"So, you admit to spiking the drink?" Molly pressed directly, prompting Kiara to drop her pretense.
Confession seemed preferable to facing Molly's relentless scrutiny. I couldn't help but feel that Molly would have acted similarly if our roles were reversed.
"Why does it matter? You have Don Gio now," Kiara retorted defensively, but Molly remained composed, unfazed by Kiara's defensiveness. "You've won, so why not move on and let me wallow in my misery?"
"What misery? You and Wesley appear happy," Molly remarked, opting out of dessert as our main course waned. Kiara seemed on the verge of confessing, and I couldn't shake the feeling that her marital troubles might be linked to Marie.
Marie's eagerness to work for me and her willingness to go to great lengths to secure the position, even if it meant jeopardizing Kiara's marriage, hinted at a potential source of conflict.
“No, he's cheating with his new secretary," Kiara revealed, confirming my suspicion. "Look, karma is already dealing with me, so let bygones be bygones."
I wanted to ask more about the secretary she talked about since I hadn't heard from Marie for a while, but Molly seemed to be thinking like me.
"I don't believe Wesley would cheat on you. I mean, you are so hot and attractive," she smiled, almost as if she had not been spooky earlier.
"His secretary, Marie, is hotter. She controls everything and has access to confidential information. Can you imagine that?" Kiara picked up a glass of wine and drank it, showing her frustration.
Molly stared at me, I knew the question on her mind but this was not the time to talk about it.
However, she was confiding in the wrong person because I knew Molly was going to hit hard.
"How could she gain that power in less than a month if she wasn't servicing him? Molly, I'm sorry, okay," Kiara pleaded, with tears sliding down her cheeks. I couldn't tell if they were real or belonging to crocodiles.
"Okay, so just tell me one last thing. What happened to mom and dad?" Molly asked, piquing my interest, but Kiara was nervous this time.
"The accident was orchestrated by me and Wesley. It was the only way for you to get the company for us to take it from you. I'm sorry, Molly."
As much as Molly put on a tough front from earlier, I could see her facade fall. "You killed our parents?" Her voice was teary, but little did we know that another revelation was on its way.
"Your parents. Before I caused their accident, I overheard your father talking on the phone with his lawyer when I paid him a surprise visit.
He was willing everything to you because I was misbehaving and wasn't even their biological daughter," Kiara revealed, concluding. "He further instructed that you should take care of me like you always did."
Molly broke down, a tear rolled down her cheek, her voice a whisper. "You killed our parents. You are evil."
"You promised to let me go," Kiara said nervously, already on her feet. I wanted to end her right there and then, but I was under a vow to not interfere, regretting obeying.
"Of course. You can go," Molly said. I was very surprised, thinking she would stop Kiara, but she didn't.
"I can't believe you let her go." I couldn't hide the disappointment in my voice when the door closed, but that was when she made the request.
“Can you please arrange for her to have an accident?" I realized that things were not as they seemed, and Molly was not going to let everything go so easily. However, Nora's suggestion changed everything.
