Molly’s POV
Ever since reuniting with Gianni, my life has changed drastically. I never imagined a woman could have it all – wealth, strength, love, family, and fame. Everything seemed like a dream from my days of popularity.
Despite my busy schedule, working with professionals allowed me to spend more time with Gianni and Roger. They both started learning how to cook, and this morning, they surprised me with breakfast before I left the house to prepare for the day.
Everything was perfect, except for what I desired most – to become Gianni's wife. Even after the storm had passed, he hadn't proposed, nor had he mentioned anything about my family's company.
Knowing that everything important to me was equally important to him, I decided to give him time.
Upon arriving at the theatre's changing room, I decided to rehearse a few lines with my backup singers. I had a surprise song in mind dedicated to Roger, expressing my love for him.
He was my source of peace and joy, and I wanted him to know it every day. I knew Gianni might be jealous of the lyrics, but that was up to him.
"Molly, you have to see this," Nora interrupted our last-minute rehearsal. "Daniel said he's struggling to control the crowd."
I watched the footage on the CCTV, which Gianni had arranged for me to have access to. There were still four hours before the show, yet the venue was already packed.
People were fighting for the VIP seats reserved for family, friends, and special guests.
"Molly, I suggest we give them a double show," Daniel suggested abruptly. I was caught off guard and unprepared for that. Some of the songs required vigorous dances that could leave me exhausted.
"No, I'm not prepared for that. It's a three-day show, so let's stop selling tickets and have them come tomorrow," I suggested. Daniel shook his head.
“I'm sorry, but we can't do that. It looks like tomorrow would be even worse because people are traveling from other states and countries to come watch."
Confusion reigned that day. I knew I still had haters who were eager to see Molly fail, but there were also genuine fans who supported me from the moment I started to clear my name.
Back then, no one was willing to listen, and I realized that no one is an island. Having a good partner’s support was a blessing.
"Girls, I promise to take care of you and will triple your wages if you agree," I pleaded with the backup singers. Nora was excited.
"I'm in, we're all in."
"Yes, we're in," the three other girls murmured. Due to Gianni's warning, I wasn't allowed to wear anything revealing, but I knew he would be shocked when he sees me in this dress. I could barely recognize myself.
"Thank you, Molly. I'll make the announcement for the first part to start in thirty minutes and the second one at the usual time."
I was nervous because I had never drawn such a crowd before when I performed in the past, and I had to thank Roger for his marketing suggestions.
To this day, I still wonder what that boy was made of, but maybe he was a compensation for both Gianni and me for all we had been through.
"It's time," I announced to my team as we held hands and said a short prayer. As soon as my presence was announced, the crowd arrived at the stage, and my knees wobbled as nervousness overcame me.
The stage lights made me hot as I briefly addressed the audience, my eyes eagerly searching until they landed on Roger and Gianni, but there was someone else. Hank.
After Octavia turned him off, I hadn't seen him again and was surprised to see them together. The three of them were wearing T-shirts with my image and the words, 'We love Molly Campbell.'
Tears filled my eyes as I had never seen this T-shirt before, and it was the first time I saw Gianni in a T-shirt. His excitement gave him a teenage glow that warmed my heart, and in that moment, all my nervousness disappeared.
My eyes were fixed on them, perceiving them as my only audience. I had the greatest fun of my life, and throughout the costume changes, their image remained imprinted.
The first part was over, and fortunately, we had an hour break for those inside to come in and those inside to go out. The box office was busy, keeping me updated on how the profit kept multiplying.
On our social media accounts, the views were already in the millions until three people entered the changing room.
The girls were drooling, so Nora warned them, "That’s Molly’s man, girls, don’t look twice."
However, their gazes didn’t seem to be on Gianni but rather on Hank.
Remembering him asking Octavia out before, I decided to put in a word for him. "Well, Gianni’s friend is single. He’s called Hank."
Hank stared blankly at me with a blend of emotions in his eyes as the girls approached him, but I noticed Nora’s cheeks turning pink. I realized I should have introduced them directly instead of making it open for all the girls.
Before I could make the correction, they had already dragged him out of the changing room as Roger embraced me.
"Mom, you are amazing. Your voice is so powerful, and you have all your fans in tears." Tears welled up in my eyes at his words, and Gianni kissed me briefly on the lips.
"This turned out better than expected, but I hope you don’t overwork yourself. We can…"
"No, I can manage the two sessions for the three days," I assured him, and he didn’t push further. "I have a surprise for you, but I will wait until the last day."
I wanted him to tell me now, but there wasn’t much time, so I agreed. "Okay, I will wait." After kissing me again, he opened the door and froze. "What’s the matter?" I asked, feeling worried.
