                    Hank’s POV
Life's lessons were difficult to learn. Some jobs pay well but come with serious sacrifices. Do I regret it? Yes.
Throughout my life, I searched for Molly, unable to get over her. However, I came to realize that if it weren't for my job, I might have found her before she started dating Gio.
Life seemed to treat me unfairly, leading me to a job that I thought aligned with my soul. Initially, I felt fulfilled as it allowed me to seek revenge on those who had wronged me.
I was adamant about not letting any woman into my life, but when I met Molly, she reminded me of the girl who once made me smile. At that moment, I knew it was too late to nurture the seed she had planted in my heart, but I found solace in Gio making her happy.
Despite my initial reservations, I decided to open my heart. During the brief time I used to test Octavia, I found myself drawn to her. Unfortunately, she did not give me the opportunity to show her the happiness I could provide.
It was evident that she was still in love with Gio, and I suspected he was the reason she rejected me. Nevertheless, her change of heart and honesty made me wish her well.
I genuinely hope she finds a man who cherishes her. If we had ended up together, I would have insisted on having Roger as my own.
Roger brought me immense joy, and I wanted to be a father figure to him. It's a good thing Octavia turned me down, as things would have been different with her son considering Molly as his mother.
The past month has been challenging as I took on some high-profile jobs that were meant to be my last. The pay was substantial, and unbeknownst to Gio, my secret businesses are thriving. I run a security and karate training school.
While my expertise lies in karate, I recently delved into the stock market, expanding my income. Despite being a billionaire and retired assassin, I felt a void in my life.
I hadn't planned to be involved today, but when Marie couldn't reach Gio, she urgently contacted me.
"Hank, I need to reach Don. It's crucial," Marie said.
"Tell me," I prompted, hoping it wasn't another one of her schemes. "Don assigned me a secret task, and I'm without protection."
What task could Gio have given her? I vaguely recalled him hiring her for something in the past, but I was unaware of the urgency or specifics.
It was a mission involving Wesley, the troublesome individual. "Tell me more, Marie."
"I obtained everything he required, but Wesley caught wind of it and has me imprisoned in a basement. I concealed the documents, but without assistance, he may uncover them."
I now understand why she needed Gio, so I went to rescue her from the basement. Knowing that this was something Gio was doing for Molly, I wanted him to handle it himself.
Therefore, I took Marie to his house since no vehicle no thug would dare to venture there and then went to find Gio.
Finding him was easy as he already had a VIP pass, but when I arrived, they were all wearing T-shirts that I didn't have.
"Hank, I saved this for you. I knew you'd show up," Gio embraced me, while Roger hugged my leg.
"Yes, Uncle Hank, you made it."
Feeling somewhat embarrassed, I decided to be honest. "Honestly, I'm not here for the show." After explaining everything, he smiled.
"You said she's at my house?" Gio asked, and I could tell he was upset, but I confirmed, "Yes, It's safer there as Wesley would be looking for her. We don't intend to go there until the show is over anyway," he said. I sighed with relief before putting on the T-shirt.
The crowd blew my mind, and I felt proud of Molly. Her comeback was amazing, but did I see Wesley and Kiara?
"Do you know Wesley and Kiara are here too?" I asked Gio. He nodded. "I even asked for them to be treated special. I will need them here on the third day."
Knowing Gio, it was clear something was about to happen, and I was happy to be a part of it.
That was the advantage of being a CEO, and I understood why Gio suddenly had a lot of time on his hands the moment Molly appeared in his life.
He could delegate and be wherever he wanted to be, when he wanted.
One day, I want to have a sweet little wife and a son just like Roger. Molly's performance was stupendous, and when Gio insisted that we go see her after the first part, I didn't refuse.
What I didn't expect was Molly trying to hook me up with her backup singers. Though I didn't like them, I allowed them to drag me out to give Gio and his woman some privacy, but they were so flirtatious.
"You look like you live in the gym," one of the girls said, her fingers trailing my chest. Was that how things were done? Molly better find some other backup singers. These ones seem cheap.
“You're handsome too. I can give you my number," the second woman said flirtatiously. I widened my eyes. Women who throw themselves at me usually put me off, but the third woman wrote her number on my hand.
As she was doing so, the last woman emerged from the changing room. "You all should get the message. He's taken."
Without warning, she tiptoed and kissed me on the lips. "What the heck?" I heard a familiar voice say, and I quickly pushed her away.
"What are you doing?" Awkwardness reddened her face, and as soon as her eyes met Gio and Molly, she bolted towards the restroom.
