                    Nora’s POV
Today seemed perfect until I ruined it. What was I thinking? The show exceeded my expectations, and my excitement was boundless.
Then he walked in, looking like he stepped out of a fashion magazine, wearing the same T-shirt as Don and Roger.
It was the first time a man had this effect on me since my painful breakup, when I swore off dating. I felt ashamed of my feelings and jealous when my colleagues flirted with him.
I wished I could take back my words and actions. Who was I to claim him as mine or kiss him? It was uncivil, and Molly and Don saw me. I should go back and apologize.
After calming down and preparing to apologize, the restroom door opened, and guess who walked in? "I saw what you did, and I can help you get that man," the shameless woman said. I stared at her.
"What are you doing here? Aren't you ashamed that you're no longer famous and don't belong here? Everyone is here because of Molly." Despite how Molly had treated her, she still had the audacity to show up.
"I'm just trying to help. There's a way to deal with guys like him, and I can show you," Kiara said. I scoffed but wondered what she wanted to I asked her,
“Is your help going to be for free?”
A smile stretched her lips. “Oh, just a small favor.”
“And that is that?” I pretended to play along.
“Help me embarrass Molly on stage. It could be a wardrobe malfunction or anything else.”
I laughed, tired of playing along. "Oh, you mean how you stole Molly's ex-husband? He's a fool to be with you, but you can't keep a real man." Her expression changed.
"So what? Watch me steal the man you're interested in," she said. I wanted to laugh. "He came to the changing room with Molly and Don, so they're obviously friends. Do you think any friend of Don's would want someone like you?" Her face dropped, and I smiled.
"Know your place, Kiara. Just because Molly was lenient with you last time doesn't mean she will be again if you cross her. I remember what she did to your so-called Wesley, and I'm still wondering why you two aren't together."
As I tried to compose myself after her words, I walked past her, making sure to brush against her shoulder.
If she had shown even a hint of stubbornness, I would have given her a good beating.
I had barely reached the corridor when I heard the MC announcing our presence once again, signaling the end of the guest artist's performance. Hurrying back, I overheard the guy Molly introduced as Hank talking to her.
“Molly, I appreciate your efforts to set me up, but I'm not interested in her. A woman making the first move is a turn-off for me. I hope you understand. Also, shouldn't you be on stage?”
Hank's words stung, and I realized they were directed at me. Thankfully, the girls were already on stage, so I managed to avoid Hank this time.
“Nora, are you okay?” Molly whispered as we waited for the spotlight. I forced a smile, masking the hurt I felt inside.
“Let's do this, Molly. It's your time to shine.”
As the lights came on and the show began, the crowd's cheers filled the room. I noticed how Don and Roger's voices commanded attention, and when I locked eyes with Hank, I felt a wave of heat wash over me. Quickly looking away, I focused on the performance.
After the show ended, I hurried to the dressing room where the crew was waiting. Following a brief meeting, we changed clothes, and without giving Molly a chance to stop me, I rushed out.
Finally, back in my hotel room, a sense of relief washed over me. I planned how to avoid Hank for the remaining three days of the event.
The second day passed without incident as I made sure to steer clear of Hank. He had made it clear that I was not his type, so I didn't see the point in apologizing. It would only seem like I was seeking his attention.
The second and third days went smoothly, but I was completely drained by the end. However, Don had a surprise in store for Molly.
After the show ended, with the crowd going wild for Molly, the atmosphere in the theater suddenly shifted. I saw Roger rushing to the stage with a placard in hand.
‘Molly, will you be my mother for life?’
The screens around us displayed the words on the placard, leaving Molly stunned. In the final performance, Molly wore an exaggerated black ballroom gown adorned with millions of crystals, giving her the appearance of a goddess. As backup singers, we wore princess gowns to fit the fairy tale theme of the song.
She looked regal, and Roger had changed into a black tuxedo, with the T-shirt he had won on the show visible underneath. The boy was adorable, with his golden T-shirt complementing Molly's dress. He, Don, and Hank wore different colored T-shirts over the three days.
Molly was visibly moved, tears glistening in her eyes. Roger smiled and knelt down on one knee as he reached the stage, looking more like a teenager than the little boy I had always known.
He was endearing. "I know you already agreed to be my mom, but I want to make it official," he said, causing the crowd to murmur in surprise.
"Who could say no to such a sweet kid?"
"Say yes, Molly. I wish I were you!" Fans in the audience screamed, urging Molly on. She took a few steps forward and embraced Roger as he knelt.
"Of course, you are my son. I will be your mother forever." The love between them was palpable as they embraced, while a deep, commanding voice spoke from a distance.
"What about me? Does this mean you accept me as your husband?" The theater fell silent as the spotlight illuminated Don Gio descending the stairs in a matching tuxedo with Roger.
"Who is that? He's so handsome," the girls giggled, and the audience buzzed with excitement.
"That's Don Dawson. I never thought I'd see him in person," a guy in the audience remarked, as the murmurs continued.
“I heard he’s the richest man alive but also dangerous.”
“Yes, and I’m surprised to see him in a black tuxedo. I heard he only wears white suit.”
However, Molly and Roger were transfixed, their eyes locked in a moment of pure joy.
Will you marry me, Molly?" Don elegantly went down on one knee, as he opened the case of an engagement ring. The size of the diamond was nothing I ever saw in my life but the atmosphere shifted as another voice interrupted Molly.
"Please, Molly, don't marry him. I still love you."
