Hank's POV
If it were up to me, Marie would never have been involved in the game, but I understood Gio's perspective. She was his full-time employee at that point, which meant certain rules applied to her.
"I told you I couldn't trust her, but you insisted she had changed," I confronted Gio. Molly looked distressed and concerned, and I could tell this wasn't the first time something like this had happened.
Even though I wasn't present at the time, Gio's statement before I left the club and Molly's reaction spoke volumes, requiring no further explanation.
"Will she be okay?" Molly asked anxiously. I was about to respond when she hurried over to me, taking Nora from the other side. "I'll take care of her."
I quickly declined. This girl had crossed a line with me, kissing me and then pretending not to know me.
It was time for her to explain the purpose of her game so we could determine who was playing it better. "No, Molly, I'll take care of her," I reassured her, but her worry persisted.
"But you don't even like her," she blurted out. I knew it was because of what I had said about Nora earlier. Before I could explain, she continued, "Hank, please let me take care of her. Gianni, please call a doctor."
Gio's gaze focused on the woman on the floor, and I realized how empty the club had become. Fear and panic had spread due to Gio's presence.
"Are you sure she's unconscious?" Gio inquired. Zak responded, "Let me check. I have a taser."
Marie suddenly opened her eyes. "No, no, no, not a taser," she protested as she got up, her cheek swollen and red from the slap. No one wanted to experience the shock of a taser, but Marie's behavior disgusted me.
"It's just a sedative and aphrodisiac. She'll sleep it off," she admitted. I glared at her, ready to oppose her when Gio intervened.
"Enough, Hank. Let me handle this," he insisted.
Marie was no longer part of the Dawson's group, so nothing prevented Gio from treating her like any other criminal. I later discovered that his payments to her for spying on Wesley came from his personal account.
Only his employees were immune from death, no matter the offense. "Don, please, I was just jealous, but I beg you, I'll be good," Marie pleaded.
"Gio, let me handle her," I implored, but Gio refused. "Go take care of Nora with Molly. I will handle this."
Molly's presence would ruin my moment with Nora, so I insisted, "I can take care of Nora alone, but as for this woman, I want to see what happens."
Gio looked disappointed. "Marie, I thought you had changed. I was ready to give you back your former position, but sadly, someone like you can never change."
He glanced at the men on the floor who were recovering from the beatings. "You guys want a foursome? She's all yours."
No wonder everyone left the club the moment they saw Gio get involved in this mess. He was ruthless.
The men were happy, but Marie had a terrified look in her eyes. "Don, please, you can't do this. I'm on my period."
I knew she was lying, but Gio did not seem to care as he told the men, "Isn't it better? No lubricant needed."
"Yes, yes, we don't care about blood," they nodded fearfully. One of them revealed, "She already took our money."
Marie pretended to faint again, but one of the men carried her, and she began wiggling. "Wait, I will give you back your money."
"Guys, I will double the money for you," Gio said. Marie's expression turned ashen, but as soon as they were out of view, Gio's gaze darkened as he instructed Zak.
"Follow them. As soon as it's done, declare all of them missing."
"Marie too?" Zak asked reluctantly. Gio replied coldly, "Did I stutter?"
The punishment was better than I imagined, so I thanked him and took Nora home. Yes, not to a hotel, but to my home. Aside from Roger and Gio, she was the only person who had that access.
Dropping her on the sofa, I went to make her some special tea, but she was up before I returned. "It's hot," she murmured as she removed her stilettos.
Her hand reached for the hem of her short dress, about to pull it up when I dropped the tea on the table and rushed to her.
"Don't do that."
As soon as I got close to her, her hands trailed my chest. “So hard, I want you,” she said seductively, I removed my belt and used it to tie her hands before carrying her upstairs and securing her legs with a necktie.
"Let me go. Hey, you look hot," she said temptingly. She was indeed alluring, but all I wanted was for her to recover so I could ask why she had been avoiding me.
"Do you know who you are talking to?" I asked, making sure she wasn't mistaking me for someone else.
"Hank? Yes," she replied smoothly, attempting to untie herself. As an assassin, I had my ways.
"Drink this tea. It will make you feel better," I urged, feeding it to her gently. She made no resistance due to her condition.
After some time, she stopped struggling and drifted back to sleep. I took a quick shower before lying down beside her and falling asleep as well.
It had been a long day and an even longer night, and we were both exhausted. Later, I heard her voice filled with confusion.
"Where am I? Have I been kidnapped?"
As she regained her senses, I removed the belt and necktie. She looked at me even more confused. "What am I doing here? Where is Molly?"
