                    Nora’s POV
Molly's presence warmed my heart, as she was the first person I expected to see when I woke up. It showed that she cared about me to come check if everything was okay.
If she hadn't, I would have felt betrayed. I was also happy that Molly's presence would make it easy for me to leave, as I had a feeling Hank might not allow me to leave freely.
Sometimes, his actions caused fear to surge within me, and I couldn't stay for long without knowing what he does and where he gets his immense wealth.
It served me right for impulsively kissing a man I had a crush on just because other girls wanted him too.
"Gianni, I will go talk with Nora," Molly said. Hank smiled at me, but all I felt was a shiver. There was a darkness to him that I couldn't quite pinpoint, especially when he didn't carry the title of a don.
"There is a bar downstairs, as well as an underground pool and a sauna. You ladies should have fun," Hank mentioned these things casually. Molly suggested the garden, which was indeed calming.
I wondered how Hank took care of all these flowers and the pond. This part of the mansion was breathtaking, and if it were mine, this is where I would spend all my time.
Hank's gazes were intense, making me afraid that he might make me fall hard for him and then dump me.
After all, what did I have to offer? When I saw him with Don that day, I thought he was perhaps a bodyguard or one of Don's workers, but from what I learned from Molly, they were rather close.
Another strange thing about Hank was the fact that he didn't have maids. A mansion like this should be full of them, but most things around were automated.
"I thought Gianni was the king of technology, but Hank has proven otherwise," Molly said with a hint of appreciation. I agreed. Indeed, I wonder what he does for a living. He lives like a billionaire." I was subtly hoping she would shed more light on Hank's life, which she did.
"Well, Gianni mentioned that Hank owns a karate school," Molly shrugged, sipping a drink, but something didn't quite add up for me.
"I don't think the owner of a karate school would be as wealthy as he appears to be."
Molly caught on to my observation and nodded. "Yeah, he also owns a security company."
Security companies can be lucrative depending on their scale, which would explain the extensive security features in his mansion.
"That makes sense. No wonder his house is equipped with so many security measures. Access is restricted unless authorized by him."
Living in a place like this would require significant training. "So, has he been good to you?" Molly inquired, prompting my thoughts to wander.
"He has, but he's quite creepy," I admitted, causing Molly to give me a strange look.
"Why do you say that? Hank had a difficult childhood, and Gianni trusts him with Roger."
If Gianni trusts Hank with his only son, Hank must truly be a good person. However, Molly seemed to be privy to more information. "You seem to know a lot about him."
Molly smiled, reminiscing, and began to share. "When we were kids, he lived next door, and because his parents used to argue frequently, he always looked sad. I would bring him a flower and insist that he smile. We lost touch until recently when everything came to light."
Her words made me raise my eyebrows as I spoke candidly. "I never imagined someone like him would have endured so much pain."
"Men can endure a lot, but I think he likes you," Molly beamed, suggesting a possibility I wasn't keen on considering.
"Did you forget what he said about me not being his type?"
Molly looked surprised. "You heard that?"
I nodded, and Molly smiled. "I don't think he meant it. Otherwise, he wouldn't have insisted on looking after you. Do you know what he did to those guys who tried to harm you?"
Her revelations hit me like bullets, leaving me unable to grasp any of them. "But he said Don was the one who took care of them," I remembered, as Molly shook her head.
Despite her stardom and fame, she remained as down-to-earth as ever.
"That was because Gianni insisted when he entered the scene, but if we hadn't been there, I doubt Hank would have allowed any of them to survive."
The revelation struck a chord with me. "That's kind of him." Yet, I sensed there was more to him than met the eye.
It was unsettling to see a simple guy I had a crush on turn out to be a billionaire, especially considering he owned a karate and security company.
"So, will you date him?" Molly asked, to which I quickly refused.
"No, he's too creepy. Can you believe he said he'd kill any man he sees me with?" I couldn't fathom being with such a possessive man, but Molly seemed to find it normal.
"That's typical of these mafia men, Nora. But trust me, they can be some of the best lovers out there, and you were clearly into Hank," she pointed out. I didn't think I could be as bold as her.
Seeing Molly change after being with Don made me wonder what he did to her, but the mafia world was not my cup of tea.
"Not anymore," I declined. If he were just an ordinary guy, I might have considered it, but given the circumstances, no way.
"You're lying," Molly insisted, but I shook my head. Yes, I still had a crush on him, but I wasn't contemplating a relationship.
"I know, but a woman shouldn't be with a guy just because she's attracted to him. Yes, I have a crush on him, but it's different when considering a relationship," I explained seriously. Molly had a valid point.
"Well, Hank is a very attractive guy, so if you don't want him, some other woman might snatch him up."
Her words made me ponder if I could bear to see him with another woman, but something he said brought a smile to my face.
"He claimed he would wait for me, even if it takes years. Who does that, except creeps?"
Molly chuckled and urged me on. "Nora, just give it a chance. I'm not saying to jump into bed with him. Just get to know him and thank me later."
“Whatever, I was thinking of something, Molly. Are you considering getting into business? I don't want to wait around until you're about to release a new song. I want..."
Molly quickly interrupted me, offering me the best deal possible. "If you want to use my name for your business, go ahead, Nora. Gianni already owns some successful malls. Right now, I want to develop my parents' business and fulfill its true potential."
Her words brought tears to my eyes, and I stood up to embrace her. "Thank you so much, Molly. I'm thrilled that you're back."
"Well, I have a child at home, so I have to run," she said after pulling away, and we returned to the living room.
When we got there, Hank and Don were still engrossed in conversation. Don was speaking. "If you want her, she has to know everything about you. Let it be her decision whether she wants to stay or leave, but don't hide any part of yourself."
Were they talking about me?
