                    Molly’s POV
The honeymoon was the best thing that ever happened in my life. The food, the ambiance, Gianni’s gentleness, all brought about a relaxation in me that inspired me to write some new songs.
Even though I knew Gianni might not agree, I still asked him, “Gianni, do you mind if I host one last concert until after our baby is born?”
“No, Molly, we can’t risk it,” he refused. I knew he was right, but I insisted, “I intend to be away from the limelight for at least two years after giving birth. Are you still going to say no?”
His silence was heavy, but he eventually agreed with conditions. “There will be a doctor on call 24/7, but you won’t hold a double concert.”
I embraced him eagerly, and we made love again. His sexuality had undergone a dramatic transformation in the sense that, though he still lasted outrageously long, he didn’t have to be so wild to reach his release.
I still missed those wild moments, but the baby always came first. “I miss Roger,” I said during our fifth day of the honeymoon.
We spoke to him on the phone every day, and even though he said he was fine and busy with studies, I still wanted to be there.
“He's growing so fast, and I feel like soon we won't have him with us. Do you mind if we cut our honeymoon short?" I asked. Gianni didn't refuse.
"You're right. I remember holding him in my arms as if it were just yesterday, but now he's like a young man."
Before returning home, we bought a lot of educational materials for Roger, and when he saw us, he was so happy. "Mom, dad, it's only been six days. I thought you'd be away for two weeks."
"We missed you so much, honey," I replied, embracing him before speaking with his teacher. "You seem busy. We'll keep your gifts in your room."
A week later, we went for my antenatal check-up, and I saw a familiar little boy, but before I could process it, he wasn't there. "Gianni, isn't that Wade?"
"I can't see anyone," Gianni said. We ran all the tests, and after the doctor confirmed everything was fine, I hosted the concert.
Though we used the stadium this time, the crowd was still out of control, so I convinced Gianni for two rounds.
Everything went well until the last day when I started to bleed. I kept it from Gianni and the doctor until after the concert, but I fainted before meeting and greeting my fans.
When I woke up, Gianni's pale face met mine, and I quickly apologized. "I'm so sorry, Gianni." He gathered me in his arms. "It's okay. You are more important."
"Did I lose the baby?" I asked. He pursed his lips and called the doctor, whose words saddened my soul.
"Molly, I suggest we abort the fetus as it would be detrimental to your health," the doctor said, breaking my heart. "
“What are the chances if we terminate?" I asked. He shook his head. "You aren't among those favored to have many children."
Tears streamed down my cheeks as I cursed myself repeatedly. I should have stopped the moment I felt discomfort and saw the bleeding, but I was bent on pleasing them.
“Don’t cry, mommy,” Roger’s voice sounded as he entered with a huge bouquet, and I embraced him tightly. “Roger, I’m so sorry.”
“It’s okay, mommy, but don’t let the doctor take my sister. She will be fine.”
“Sister?” How I always wanted a girl, especially when I already had a son.
“Roger, it’s dangerous for her health,” Gianni refused, but Roger insisted. “I would be here with Mommy. It won’t matter if I skip school. I still have my tutor,” He insisted. Gianni was confused and asked the doctor,
“What are the chances if she keeps it?”
“It’s going to be a difficult one but not impossible.”
Roger stared pleadingly at Gianni until he agreed. “Fine. We shall take care of you together.”
“I almost forgot,” Roger pulled away and said before showing me the news on his tablet.
‘Molly Campbell faints after an outstanding performance. We hope she’s well: Millions of Molly’s fans gathered in front of the hospital she was taken to after she fainted following another massive show.’
“They are here?” I panicked, but Roger was calm. “Dad addressed and sent them away, promising them that you needed privacy to recover and he would update them as soon as you get better.”
Well-wishes kept pouring in every microsecond, and warmth crept into my heart. I had taken a risk, but seeing how much they appreciated it, I had no regrets.
Hank and Nora visited every day until I got better, and the doctor promised I could be discharged in a few days.
Roger kept his word and stayed with me throughout my one-month stay at the hospital. Most of the time, he would be busy on his computer.
One night, Gianni went to get us food, and Roger fell asleep with his head on my lap. My hand rested on his head while I also fell asleep, but someone opened the door.
With it being a VIP room, I doubted anyone would come in at this time except Gianni so I didn’t open my eyes until everything was too quiet.
As soon as my eyes flipped open, I saw him again. It was Wade, and he was just about to stab Roger in the back. “You punk, you have to die,” when I intercepted, the dagger went through my palm, forcing Roger to wake up.
“Mom," fear shone in his eyes for the first time as he pressed the emergency bells. Seeing this, Wade took off running, but Roger didn’t appear ready to forgive him, darting through the door.
I was too weak to chase after him, but the doctors rushed in. "What happened?" one of them asked, and I simply pointed at the door.
"My son. Get my son," I feared there might be people waiting for him. What if Roger had fallen into a trap?
"You should be worried about yourself. Why did you try to commit suicide? We will get you help."
Realizing this conversation was going nowhere, I dialed Gianni’s number, and he answered. "Don’t worry, Molly. Roger told me everything, and I will make them pay."
"Them?" I was confused, but Gianni ended the call, and Jace arrived. "Boss said I should be in the ward with you."
Everything started to make sense. It became real when I saw Wade during my last antenatal check, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that he was just monitoring me or Roger.
Looking around, I hadn’t realized that Roger had taken the dagger used to stab me with him. Everything happened so quickly, and due to the blood, I didn’t even notice when he pulled the dagger out of my palm.
Anxiety overwhelmed me, not even Jace’s presence could calm me, until Nora arrived. "Molly, I’m glad you are okay. Hank and Gio fought a gang, but that Roger."
"What happened to Roger?" I asked, feeling my temper rise.
