                    Octavia’s POV
My biggest mistake was rejecting Hank, and although I didn't intentionally send the assassin after Nora, I was saddened to lose Hank to her.
Cage mistreated me, but I felt I deserved it. Everything was wrong from the start, but I blindly trusted him and felt relieved when Vanni had him killed.
Hank had just gotten engaged, so I believed I still had a chance to win him back by showing him that our past connection was not over.
To be close to Hank, I needed to be near Nora. If I stayed with her, I would have the opportunity to see Hank and make my move.
Nora was thrilled to be engaged to Hank, and I understood why. Hank wouldn't have looked back if I had intentionally tried to harm her, but now all I wanted was him.
Nora made a revealing statement, "I live with Hank, but if he agrees, I don't mind." I knew Hank wouldn't allow me to stay at his place.
Perhaps it was the aftermath of the assassin's attack that led Hank to invite Nora to live with him. I needed to be near him, so I gazed at him eagerly, trying to appear innocent.
However, he suddenly asked, "Gio assigned you bodyguards, so where are they?" Cage told me to let them go because he could protect me," I explained, but that wasn't enough for him to let me in.
"Then I'll tell him to send them back and help you rent an apartment, but my house is off-limits," he said sternly, while Nora playfully hit him on the chest.
"Come on, Hank, it's just for a short while, and she could help me with the wedding preparations. Molly is pregnant, and I don't have any other friends."
How open-minded can she be to let me into her home with her man? I felt sorry for her, but after Hank agreed, I later felt sorry for myself.
"Okay, if you say so, but she leaves after the wedding."
"Thanks, Hank," I said excitedly, only to be met by his coldness as Nora observed, "You look tired. Let's go home, and I'll give you a massage."
Hank's gaze on her was tender, and his smile was flawless as he lifted her in his arms bridal style. "Is this what you call being tired?" He asked Nora lovingly, landing a kiss on her forehead.
Nora was giggling like a spoiled little brat, as I followed them home.
As soon as they climbed the stairs after Hank showed me one of the rooms, I never saw Nora again for three days straight. Hank had come downstairs but only to cook for himself and Nora.
"I don't know what you like, and there are enough ingredients. Suit yourself."
Before I could say a word, he was gone, and I knew it was because of the kiss. He probably sensed that I might try something funny.
When Nora finally came downstairs on the fourth day, she looked exhausted, as if they had started their honeymoon before the wedding.
All she talked about was the wedding, and for the rest of the days, we spent time with the wedding planners.
As we worked on the preparations, Gio came along and helped me regain my business from Cage’s sister, which I then liquidated. In addition to the ten million, I started a new business, but that was after the wedding.
A day before the wedding, I had the chance to talk to Hank while Nora was resting. He had come downstairs to get some snacks for her.
"Hank, can we talk, please?" I asked. He turned to face me, his demeanor cold.
"Make it quick," he replied.
"Hank, you're making a mistake, just like I did. True love never dies, so if you ever loved me, even for a moment, then please reconsider your decision," I pleaded.
His expression initially made me think he was about to explode, but he remained calm. “Octavia, I didn't love you when I decided to date you," he revealed, and my hopes crashed. "But you said..."
"I said we should give it a try because I felt that since I liked you, we could make it work and love could develop along the way. Please don't get it mixed up." He went up the stairs, leaving me shocked, but returned with a key card.
"And oh, your apartment is ready, so after the wedding tomorrow, your services will no longer be needed."
I sank into the sofa as he climbed the stairs, and as much as I watched longingly for his return, it never happened.
The painful and sad truth about loss settled on me, realizing how I had destroyed my life by letting the wrong person in and my obsession with Vanni.
I never liked Hank in the beginning, but seeing this side of him, the reality stared me in the face.
Vanni was right. Regret filled my heart, but not until I remembered something that sparked hope within me.
I left with Nora to a hotel where the wedding would be held very early in the morning with trusted bodyguards. As I helped Nora get ready for the occasion, I couldn't help but ask her, "Do you truly love him?"
She turned to me with a joyful expression and replied, "Octavia, the moment I laid eyes on Hank, I knew I wanted him so badly, even though things didn't go as planned at first." She recounted their initial meeting, and it all made sense to me.
They were deeply in love, and all I needed to do was be happy for them.
Nora deserved happiness as she was a good woman, and I had no right to try to come between them.
"I am genuinely happy for you, Nora, and I apologize for everything. I was the one who hired the assassin, but I had no idea you were the target Cage had in mind. Please forgive me," I confessed.
Nora was surprised and asked, "What do you mean?" I explained the situation, and she let out a sigh of relief. "It's all in the past now," she reassured me.
We embraced for the first time, and all the jealousy I had felt before disappeared completely. I realized that being genuinely happy for another woman's success and joy was the key to finding my own happiness.
Vanni was Hank's best man, while Roger was protective of Molly. They chatted and laughed together, their bond evident.
As I watched Nora walk down the aisle, I knew that happiness awaited her on the other side. The wedding was extravagant, but the love between them made it even more beautiful.
Meanwhile, I focused on my business, and a few months later, Nora informed me that Molly had given birth to twins. I visited her with a large bouquet, and Nora, with a cute bump, was there too.
We embraced, and I congratulated Molly, asking her how it all went. She looked tired. "You have no idea, Octavia. I didn't even know I was carrying twins until the fourth month, but my pregnancy was high-risk, so I had to undergo surgery."
"Aren't they cute? I think we should name the girl Delanie Dawson," Roger said seriously, and Vanni was emotional.
"That would be if Mommy agrees." Delanie was the name of Vanni's real mother, and yet he still wanted Molly's approval.
"Delanie it is, but what about the boy?" Molly asked. Roger smiled thoughtfully. "Declain and Delanie make a good pair."
"Perfect," Molly agreed, and excitement filled the room with cheers and laughter.
Months later, Hank and Nora also welcomed twin boys, Hector and Hendrix.
Years passed, and my focus remained on my business. It was true what they said: the more successful a man was, the more women would want him, but the more successful a woman was, the more non serious men would flee from her.
My success attracted men like Cage, and this time, I took Vanni and Hank's advice whenever they rejected any man I introduced to them. It was during Roger's graduation day that I met my Mr. Right.
