Kiara’s POV
Molly has always been the good girl, stealing the hearts of our parents and everyone else for as long as I could remember. Not only that, she possessed an enchanting voice that could captivate anyone.
I yearned for love and envied her voice and fame, but she always made it challenging for me to achieve the same level of admiration.
When I saw her name among the nominees, I saw an opportunity to turn her moment of glory into a moment of shame.
Molly, being kind and naive, was an easy target. I offered her a drink, knowing she always wanted to please me. Her director, Christopher, was also an easy mark due to his extramarital affairs.
Molly was unwittingly caught in his web, and when his wife discovered the truth and divorced him, Christopher blamed Molly for drugging and seducing him. In the end, I reveled in my victory.
I made no secret of my resentment towards Molly, coveting everything she had. Wesley, my ex, lacked the connections I desired, so I ended the relationship.
However, my life did not improve. In fact, it became more challenging as I pursued my ambitions.
Despite my parents' wishes for me to manage the family business, I refused, opting to strike out on my own in pursuit of what Molly had achieved.
When I crossed paths with Wesley again, he was now dating Molly, reigniting my desire for him.
Initially playing hard to get, Wesley eventually succumbed to my advances after I drugged and slept with him. I used the pregnancy to manipulate him into doing my bidding, but even with a child together, he chose to marry Molly.
Despite his marriage to Molly, I maintained control over Wesley by leveraging our child, ensuring he spent more time with me and our son than with his wife.
As long as Molly was unhappy, I found contentment. We had planned the divorce together, but Wesley hesitated to proceed.
I sensed his lingering feelings for Molly, so I took the initiative by hanging our pictures on the walls when it was time to move Molly to the mansion.
When Molly finally signed the divorce papers yesterday, I felt relieved and saw no reason to be present today.
However, a conversation between Molly and Wesley about the assets piqued my curiosity.
"What does she mean by that, Wesley?" I inquired. He abruptly ended the call and embraced me, dismissing Molly's words as nonsensical.
Despite trusting Wesley due to our son, I couldn't shake off my curiosity. "Can I see the documents? What is she entitled to?" I pressed.
Wesley smiled and reassured me, "Everything is in a Trust fund for Wade, our son."
Molly's anger must have stemmed from not knowing that Wade was our son's name. "I love you, Wesley. Shouldn't we consider having more children?" I suggested, prompting him to start undressing me.
“When do you want us to start? I was thinking after our wedding, but now is not too early."
The mention of a wedding got me excited. I hadn’t thought about it happening so soon.
“Mom, my car broke down,” Wade burst in, Wesley rolled away, and I buttoned my shirt, feeling flushed.
Wade was so addicted to his toys, and I knew I had to help him with it.
The next day, after dropping Wade at daycare, we drove to the court to finalize the divorce. Wesley and I waited in front of the judge’s office, but Molly did not show up.
“Are you sure she’s going to make it?” I asked Wesley. After the disappearance of the two men sent to destroy her completely, I’ve been curious to know where Molly lived but have been unsuccessful.
I want to see her miserable for the rest of her life, so that even a smile would be too expensive for her to afford.
“She will come. I’m sure of it,” Wesley said, but I was losing patience.
“If she eventually turns up, have someone follow her. I want to know where she is and what she’s been up to,” I said seriously.
Wesley’s brows furrowed. “Our minds are in sync. I've already arranged for someone to take care of that. She managed to escape last time, but we need to ensure it doesn't happen again. Since she declined to come to the club, we can have the person sent to wherever she stays," Wesley agreed.
Just like me, he didn't want Molly to return and make any claims. After what felt like an eternity, Molly appeared in expensive designer clothes.
Her sunglasses alone could buy my car. It felt surreal, and I needed to confirm, so I lunged at her.
"We've been waiting for over thirty minutes. Why are you late?"
Slapping her would put her in her place and dispel any illusions she had or wherever she borrowed those clothes from, but a force stopped me before my hand could reach her.
My buttocks hit the floor painfully, as the source of the force showed no mercy.
The man in the white suit reminded me of the rumors about the legendary Giovanni Dawson, the ruthless mafia don worth billions of dollars. He was also nicknamed the devil in white.
He was the only man who could pull off a white suit perfectly and still look undeniably hot and intimidating.
Even Wesley couldn't defend me this time, and his reaction was one of complete shock.
I slowly got up from the floor, but my ankle twisted in the process, and I let out a yelp. "Please help me."
I expected the man to take responsibility for his actions, but his gaze softened as it landed on Molly. "Are you alright? Did anyone hurt you?"
What the heck? I hopped on one leg and clung to Wesley before he remembered I was there, as his focus remained on Molly.
Even as he supported me, his shock was still evident. "Who is he, Molly? Were you cheating on me all this time?" he asked.
I was also curious about how Molly had met someone like Giovanni Dawson.
He might be ruthless, but he was still every woman's dream man, and I was no exception. I had always managed to take everything Molly had, so it was only a matter of time. Giovanni Dawson would be mine!
