Wesley's POV
I met Molly after experiencing heartbreak from Kiara. Despite her fame, she was surprisingly down-to-earth, surpassing my expectations. However, when Kiara reentered my life, everything changed.
I should never have agreed to have a drink with her, which led to us ending up in bed together. She exploited the situation and threatened to blackmail me.
Initially, I wanted to confess everything to Molly, but I felt tainted after the incident and was afraid she would break up with me. Molly was like an angel from heaven, making me feel guilty whenever I was with her.
When I considered sparing myself the misery and breaking up with her, the scandal occurred. I knew it wasn't true, but to keep her by my side through it all, I constantly used it against her because of how I stood by her.
What I regret is following Kiara's advice to eliminate her parents after the marriage, so we could inherit everything, but everything had been bequeathed to Molly.
It wasn't difficult to exploit the fact that the scandal had gone global. Although I could have taken action, I chose to use it to my advantage, keeping her confined in our house with my parents monitoring her every move.
Molly was a capable young woman who excelled at managing the household, handling everything from cooking to cleaning. I always felt insecure about losing her because I knew she was more competent than I was.
I took advantage of her vulnerabilities to undermine her self-esteem, convincing her to sign over everything to me. However, when she eventually asked for her possessions back, I was relieved that I had transferred them to my mother's name as a precaution due to past experiences with Kiara.
Despite my love for Kiara, I couldn't fully trust her, as she tended to seek greener pastures elsewhere.
I wanted to possess Molly entirely, to make her my mistress. The night she left the mansion, I conspired with Kiara to send men to intimidate her into returning to me.
I intended to be her sole protector and keep her under my control, but she vanished without a trace.
I was unable to locate her or the men I had sent, leaving me surprised by her sudden disappearance and newfound strength. After we agreed to meet to finalize the divorce, she showed up.
As usual, Kiara wanted to take advantage of her, but unexpectedly, someone came to her defense.
Giovanni Dawson was no ordinary man, and this was the first time I had seen him in person.
I had seen his pictures in the news, so I easily recognized him. I felt a sharp pain in my heart as I watched him attend to Molly, asking if someone had hurt her.
I was taken aback by his concern for Molly. She had never known any man other than me, so I asked her directly as I supported Kiara after she twisted her ankle.
"Who is he, Molly? Have you been cheating on me all this time?" I asked, feeling uneasy about the situation. What made it worse was that she wouldn't give me a straight answer.
"I'm here to sign the divorce papers, and I don't have time to play around with a dog and his Kitty," Molly retorted.
Her words stung not only me but also Kiara. I called Kiara Kitty as a term of endearment, not as a derogatory reference as Molly implied.
How did she become so assertive all of a sudden, calling me a dog? Her designer clothes made it nearly impossible to recognize her, and she no longer looked at me with the same love as before.
As she walked past me, I attempted to grab her arm to demand an explanation, but my hand barely touched her coat before Giovanni caught and twisted it.
The pain was nothing I could explain, glad it was my left hand. I could feel my bones dangling from within.
What was he made of? Iron? “Babe, are you alright?” Kiara asked with concern in her eyes, I stared at Molly who was rather impassive.
"If you ever touch her again, I will dismember you, piece by piece," Giovanni threatened.
The shock not only coursed through me but also through Kiara. How did we reach this point?
Reluctantly, I followed them inside with the pain spreading through my body. I never felt such intense pain in my life but I did so now, all because of Molly.
Even though the divorce was initiated by Kiara, I regretted it as I felt like I was losing control over Molly.
"Mr. Thompson, please sign here," the judge instructed after declaring our divorce. I felt like I had lost her forever.
My right hand trembled as I endured the pain of the left as Kiara urged me on. "Go ahead, what are you waiting for? We have to go to the hospital to check your wrist. My ankle hurts too so we both need a doctor."
Despite her foot tapping impatiently on the floor, I couldn't help but notice how she kept staring at Giovanni. The audacity of her faking care for me when her eyes were on another man.
Summoning my courage, I signed the papers, and I saw a wave of relief in Giovanni's eyes. He even let out a sigh. Could he be the one who convinced Molly to sign?
Molly had been resistant to signing before, but now she had done so without even asking for her assets as she had previously demanded.
Her refusal to sign the document made me feel like she still loved me, but things had changed. I was determined to investigate Giovanni Dawson's personal life further.
Apart from his ruthlessness and wealth, there wasn't much information about his love life.
After leaving the judge's office, Giovanni’s phone rang and he seemed to be in a hurry but Molly turned to him.
"Gianni, I still have some things my parents gave me at his house. I have to go pick them up."
Gianni? Were they that close? How did she cheat on me without me knowing? I hoped he would allow her to collect her things alone so I could get my parents to confront her for answers but right now, I needed to see a doctor before my hand gets amputated.
